Let’s Play
Before you start playing with Cookie,
you’ll need to move her ON/OFF/
TRY ME switch to ON. Look for the
label on her tummy — this will show you where her fur opens
to access the ON/OFF/TRY ME switch and battery door.
After you’ve switched her ON, be sure to completely close the
fabric fastener.
Your Cookie puppy responds to your touch, your
voice, and the sound of her squeaky bone. She barks,
wags her tail, moves her head, and makes puppy
“talk” back when you speak to her.
Pet Cookie on her head
• Each time you switch Cookie to ON, be sure
to pet her head to “wake” her up!
• She gets excited when you pet her head — she barks
and wags her tail to show she’s ready to play!
• If you hold your hand on her head for about 3
seconds, Cookie will close her eyes and go to sleep.
Careful — she snores!
Pet Cookie on her left or right cheek
• She turns her head toward your hand so you will
pet her some more!
• She makes happy puppy sounds!
Pet Cookie on her back
• Cookie loves this and will make happy
puppy sounds!
• If you pet her a lot on her back, she might close
her eyes and fall asleep!
OFF TRY ME
ON
Give Cookie her squeaky bone
• If you squeeze her bone to make it squeak, Cookie
will turn her head toward the sound! You can also
clap, whistle or make another loud sound to get
Cookie to turn her head toward you.
• If you put her bone in her mouth, Cookie
will start “chewing” on it and making crunching
noises!
• If you take her bone away too soon, Cookie might
“ask” for it back!
Talk to Cookie
• When she hears you talking to her, Cookie babbles
back with puppy sounds!
• If you’re talking to Cookie and she makes a
whining sound and stops “talking,” pet her on her
head to encourage her to start “talking” again.
• If Cookie is barking when you talk to her, she may
not hear you. Try again when she stops making
sounds!
Sleepy puppy
• If you stop playing with your Cookie puppy, she will
bark and try to get your attention.
• After about a minute, she will go into “daydreaming”
mode and won’t move or make any sounds.
• You can “wake” Cookie up again by petting her head!
NOTE: This toy uses battery power whenever
its switch is in the ON position. When you’re
not playing with the toy, move its switch to the
OFF position to help conserve battery life.

Grooming
Your Pet
To Replace
Batteries
Just like a real animal, it’s normal for your FURREAL
FRIENDS toy to shed a little when you groom it.
Just like a real puppy, your Cookie puppy likes to stay
clean. But make sure she doesn’t get wet! Gently brush
her fur with a cloth or soft brush to loosen any dirt.
You can use a slightly damp cloth to remove stains, but
don’t use any cleaners on your Cookie puppy.
Troubleshooting
• If Cookie is turned ON but doesn’t respond to your
touch, she might be in “daydreaming” mode. Pet
the back of her head to “wake” her up.
• If Cookie doesn’t babble back when you talk to her,
try talking in a louder voice. You might also need to
pet the back of her head to encourage her to “talk.”
• If Cookie still doesn’t seem to be responding
properly, rst try sliding the ON/OFF/TRY ME
switch to OFF, then back to ON. If that doesn’t
work, you may need to replace the batteries.
