1. CTR System

The CTR system includes the following for user interaction and response.
• 8 inch touch screen display

Steering wheel controls

Panel control
Microphone for limited voice control
• USB hub for streaming audio and video
• BT connection for phone and streaming audio.
• Audio output thru the audio speaker system.
a. Remote Display
The remote display has a touch screen that will allow the user to interact directly with the objects on the screen. Refer to the following sections for the details of user interaction.

1. Volume Up
Pressing the button will increase the volume of the currently playing mode. This volume will be stored for that mode. A pop-up on the screen will appear to show the volume level.
2. Volume Down
Pressing the button will decrease the volume of the currently playing mode. This volume will bestored for that mode. A pop-up on the screen will appear to show the volume level.
3. Mute
Pressing the button will mute the audio until the button is again pressed.
4. Call Pick-up
Pressing the button will pick up an incoming call.
5. Call hang-up
Pressing the button will end a current call.
6. Voice Assistant
If a Voice Assistant is available and activated on a connected mobile phone, pressing and holding the button will activate a voice assistant session. Pressing during the active session will cancel the session.
c. Panel Control
1. Volume Knob
Rotating the knob will increase/decrease the volume of the currently playing mode. This volume will be stored for that mode. A pop-up on the screen will appear to show the volume level.
2. Tune Knob
Rotating the knob will increment/decrement the current frequency or station to the next frequency or station.

3. Power Button
Pressing this button will toggle the power of the infotainment system On and Off. If the Ignition is off and the Power button is pressed, the infotainment system will power on in Extended mode. Pressing the Power again will turn off the system.
4. Seek Down
Pressing the button will seek from the current station or frequency to the next lower available station or frequency.
5. Seek Up
Pressing the button will seek from the current station or frequency to the next higher available station or frequency.
6. Play/Pause
Pressing the button will toggle between playing and pausing available controlled USN or Bluetooth streaming media.
7. Display Button
Pressing this button will toggle the display from Off to On. In Off mode, the screen can be activated with touch or by using this button. In Off mode, the screen will only show the time.
d. Climate Control
1. Fan Speed Knob
When the knob is rotated, a pop up display will appear to indicate the fan speed level.
2. Temperature Knob
When the knob is rotated, a pop up display will appear to indicate the temperature level.
e. USB Connection
The USB connection supports connecting multiple USB devices that may provide streaming audio, video or support projection modes (Android Auto, Carplay, Applink or Baidu).
For audio, the infotainment system will support fast forward, fast reverse and play/pause.
For video, the infotainment will support fast forward, fast reverse and play/pause.
f. Microphone
The infotainment system uses two microphones to support voice recognition for connected device control.

2. Home Screen
a. Home
Pressing the home button in the top menu bar for any screen will change the displayto this Home Screen.
b. Audio
The audio buttonto the left displays the currently selected Audio source. Pressing this button will display the Audio mode information screen.
c. Connected Device
The Connected Device button to the right displays the connected device status. Pressing the button will change the screen to the Phone main screen.

d. Mobile Navigation
When mobile navigation is in use, the Audio button will share the left side with the Mobile navigation button.

e. Clock

Displays the clock in 12 or 24 hour format.
f. Outside Temperature
Displays the outside temperature in degrees F or C.
g. Icons
1. 911 Assist/Emergency Assist OFF
This icon shows the status of the 911 Assist/Emergency Assist feature.
2. Connected device signal strength indication
When a Bluetooth device is connected and signal strength is available, the signal strength icon will be displayed.
3. Roaming

When a Bluetooth device is connected and roaming, the roaming icon will be displayed.
4. Bluetooth device connected
When a Bluetooth device is connected and signal strength is not available, the Bluetooth icon will be displayed.
5. New Message
When a new message is received, the icon will be displayed.
6. Speaker Mute
When the system audio is muted, the icon will be display.
7. Microphone Mute
When the system microphone is muted, the icon will be displayed.

8. Wi-Fi

When Wi-Fiis enabled, the icon will be displayed.
9. System Update
The icon will be displayed when there is a software download in process.
10. Traffic Announcement Alarm
When a traffic announcement alarm is active and there is an interrupt announcement, the icon will be displayed.
11. Traffic Announcement News
When a traffic announcement news is active and there is an interrupt announcement, the icon will be displayed.

3. AudioSources
Pressing the Sources button for any of the sources entered with the Audio button will change the screen to allow the section of another audio source.
a. AM
When the AM entertainment source is selected, the screen will change to the main AM screen and tune to the last selected AM frequency.

2. Direct Tune
When the user pressed the direct tune button, a display will show a numeric keyboard for the user to manually enter a frequency number.
3. TA
When the TA button is pressed, the systems will search for the next available station that supports a Traffic Alert feature.
4. Mixed Presets
There is a set of preset buttons that can be programmed to any AM, FM, SXM or DAB channel. There is a total of 32 buttons that can be programmed. Swiping the row of buttons will show additional buttons. Pressing the button will change to that mode and channel/frequency. Pressing and holding the button will program the currently playing channel/frequency.
b. FM
When FM is selected from the Entertainment screen, the screen will display the FM mode, the tuner is changed to FM mode and tuned to the last selected FM frequency.

The display will show radio text if available.

2. Browse
For markets with RDS, the browse list will contain the Program station list (see above). For markets with RDS, the available station frequencies will be displayed. The user can select from this list which will tune to that station and return to the now playing FM screen.

c. SXM (US Only)
A subscription must be active for the SXM feature to be supported. If the subscription is not active, a display will indicate that subscription is not active and suggest calling to enable the subscription. If the subscription is active, the following features will be supported.

When the SXM source is selected, the screen will change to the SXM main screen and tune to the last plated channel.
1. Text
The display will show the artist and song title.
2. Channel Guide
Pressing the channel guide button will display a list of all available SXM channels. The user can select a channel from this list. When selected, the display will show the media player with the active channel.

i. Search
When the Search all categories button is pressed, the screen will display list of all
categories that can be selected by the user.
ii. Refresh
When the Refresh button is pressed, the screen will refresh the list.
iii. SXM View
When the View button is pressed, the screen will display a popup list to allow the
user to select Channel, Title or Artist to view.
iv. Skip
For each station on the channel guide, the user can press the skip button to skip this
station when seeking through stations.
v. Lock
For each station on the channel guide, the user can press the lock button to lock this
station and not allow tuning to the station. A PIN will be required to lock the station.
3. Sources
When the Sources button is pressed, the Entertainment screen will be displayed to allow the user to select another source.
4. Direct Tune
When the user pressed the direct tune button, a display will show a numeric keyboard for the user to manually enter a channel number.
5. Alerts
The Alerts button will allow the user to add the currently playing song title, game or other broadcast to the alert list. When the song title is played in the future, the user will get an alert to tune to the station playing that alert.
The user will be able to manage the alerts with an Alerts list display that will allow editing or deleting an item on the list.
6. Repeat
The user can repeat the song title by pressing the repeat button.

j. DAB (Europe Only)
When DAB is selected from the Entertainment screen, the screen will display the DAB mode, the tuner is changed to DAB mode and tuned to the last selected DAB station.

When the Browse button is pressed, the screen will display a list of Ensembles. When the user selects an Ensemble name, the screen will show the list of stations in that Ensemble. The station list will indicate if Traffic Announcement is supported.
3. Sources
When the Sources button is pressed, the Entertainment screen will be displayed to allow the user to select another source.
4. TA
When the TA button is pressed, the systems will search for the next available station that supports a Traffic Alert feature.
5. Extended Text Button
When the button is pressed, the user can scroll through text that may be truncated in the text field.
6. Mixed Presets
There is a set of preset buttons that can be programmed to any AM, FM, SXM or DAB channel. There is a total of 32 buttons that can be programmed. Swiping the row of buttons will show additional buttons. Pressing the button will change to that mode and channel/frequency. Pressing and holding the button will program the currently playing channel/frequency.
k. CD (not currently in Scope)
If a remote CD player is available in the vehicle, pressing this button will change the audio source to the CD player.

l. Connected Media
1. Bluetooth Streaming Audio
If a Bluetooth device is connected and there are audio files available for streaming, pressing this button will change the audio mode to Bluetooth streaming audio.
The screen will change the media player. (see media player section)
2. USB
If a device is connected into the USB hub and there are audio files available for streaming, pressing this button will change the audio mode to USB streaming audio or video.
If the source is audio, the screen will change to the media player. (see media player section)
If the source is video, the screen will change to the video player. (see video player section)
3. Music App
If a device is connected and a music app is available, pressing this button will enable the music app.
The screen will change the media player. (see media player section)
4. Media Browse
When the search icon for a Now Playing list is pressed, the screen will display the Media Browse and display all supported browse options that are available for that device. Below is a summary of all possible browse options.

1. Play All
When this button is pressed, the screen will change to the Media Player (see media player section) for audio or the Video Player (see video player section) for video.
2. iTunes Radio
If an Apple device is connected and supported iTunes, pressing this button will change the screen to display the list of iTunes radio stations. When a station is selected, the screen will display a specific media player.
i. Wish List
When the button is pressed, the iTunes wish List request will be supported.

ii. Thumbs Up
When the button is pressed, the iTunes Thumbs down will be supported.
iii. Thumbs Down
When the button is pressed, the iTunes Thumbs down will be supported.
3. Playlists
When the button is pressed, the screen will change to display the available playlists.
When a playlist is selected, the screen will display the Now Playing list and play the first song on the list and continue playing from the playlist.
The A-Z button allows the user to search items within the list.
4. Artists
When the button is pressed, the screen will change to display the available Artists.

When the All Albums list item is selected, the screen will display a list of available albums.
When an artist is selected the screen will display the Now Playing List and begin playing available songs from that artist.
The A-Z button allows the user to search items within the list.
5. Albums
When the button is pressed, the screen will change to display the available Albums.
When an album is selected the screen will display the Now Playing List and begin playing available songs from that album.
The A-Z button allows the user to search items within the list.
6. Songs
When the button is pressed, the screen will change to display the available songs.

7. Genres
When the button is pressed, the screen will change to display the available genres.
When agenre isselected the screen will display the Now Playing List and begin playing available songs from that genre

8. Podcasts
When the button is pressed, the screen will change to display the available genres.

9. Videos
When an album is selected the screen will display the Now Playing List and begin playing available podcasts.
When a video file is selected the screen will display the Video player.
10. Explore Device
When an album is selected the screen will display the directory for the device.

4. Media Player
Pressing the Audio button in the bottom menu bar will change the screen to the main Media Player screen if the current source is a connected media source.
If a valid media file is selected from a connected device, the Audio becomes Media and the infotainment systems shall support the playing of the connected audio. The buttons displayed will depend on the media source being played.
The screen will support the Sources button.
• The screen will display the connected device name if available.
• The screen will display the Artist and Song Title if available.
The screen will display and support a fast backward button, a fast forward button and a
play/pause button.
The screen will support 30 second skip forward or 30 second skip backward.
• The screen will support a shuffle button.
• The screen will support a repeat button.
The screen will display and progress bar or a simple media progress bar depending on what the
media will support.
The screen will show a total time and elapsed time.
The screen shall have a Browse button. The video player will have an independent list from the
audio browse list.
The Media Player screen will also show the Artist, Song Title and Cover art if available.

5. Video Player
Pressing the Audio button in the bottom menu bar will change the screen to the main Video Player screen if the current source is a video file.
For most regions, the video player will not allow video to be displayed until the vehicle is not in motion.
If a valid video file is selected from a connected device, the Audio becomes Media and the infotainment systems shall support the playing of the video.
The screen will display and support a fast backward button, a fast forward button and a
play/pause button.
The screen will display and progress bar or a simple media progress bar depending on what the
media will support.
The screen will display a subtitle button that will turn available subtitles On/Off.
The screen will show a total time and elapsed time.
The screen shall havea Browse button. The video player will have an independent list from the
audio browse list.
Once the video begins playing, the video will be displayed on a full screen, removing the upper
status and lower menu bars. Touching the screen will return to the normal screen.
If the driver restriction is enabled, the video will not be played and there will be a warning
displayed.

6. Phone
Pressing the Phone button on the bottom menu bar will change the screen to the Phone main screen. The main phone screen will show a button to add a new device and will show buttons to connect to any previously paired devices.
a. Add Phone
The option to add a phone will always be present for this screen. Pressing this button will initiate a discoverable mode to search for Bluetooth phones. If Bluetooth in not on, the system will display a message to turn on.
Once the discovery is completed, pairing screen will be displayed. The system will allow up to 12 paired devices. If there are 12 paired devices, there will be a warning to delete a device.

b. Connect Phone
As devices are connected, they will appear on the main screen as a possible connected source. Pressing the icon button for any previously paired device will attempt to connect to that phone (with the highest priority).
c. Connected Device
When a device is connected, the device will transmit information from the phone to be displayed and controlled in the Connected Device screen. When a connected device is selected, a main screen for that device will be displayed to allow the customer to manage the device. See below.
1. Recent Calls
Displays the list of recent calls. The list will include the following information:
• Name
• Which contact: Mobile, home, work
• Incoming/outgoing
• Time or date of call
2. Contacts
Displays the list of contacts. The initial screen will show the list of names. Selecting a name will change the screen to show more detailed information:
List of contact numbers: Mobile, home, work (any contacts from mobile phone)
Contact image if available
3. Device Name
Displays the device name and allows the customer to change the name of the device.

4. Voice Assistant
If the voice assistant is available and turned on from the mobile phone, the button will be enabled. Pressing this button will initiate an active voice assistant session. Pressing the button during an active session will cancel the session.
5. Do Not Disturb
Enables or disables the do not disturb feature. When enabled, the phone will not transfer the call from the device to the infotainment system.
6. Keypad
Displays a keypad to be used to enter a phone number to call.
7. Text Messages
If the mobile phone supports the transfer of text messages, pressing the Message button will attempt to display the text messages on the display. Displays the list of text messages that have been received. If all current messages had been downloaded, the list will be displayed. If there are new messages, the user will be notified of downloading messages, and then the list will be displayed.
• The list will show which messages had been previously reviewed.
When the HearIt button on the far left is pressed, the message will be audibly read to the
user.
When the line item is pressed, the screen will change to show the View Text display.

The user will have options for responding to the text message.

When the Call button is pressed, a call will be initiated to the contact sending the text
message.
When the Reply button is pressed, the screen will display a list of pre-defined responses.
The user can press any of these responses and a text message will be sent to the mobile phone.

d. Incoming Call
1. No Previous Call Connected
When an incoming call is recognized, the display will indicate the incoming call and the
ringtone will be played.
The screen will allow the user to accept or reject the call. If the call is rejected, the call will
be recorded as a missed call. If the call is accepted, the call will be recorded as a recent call. The steering wheel controls can also be used (see steering wheel controls section).
If the incoming call number is not on the contact list, the system will not display any contact
information.
If the incoming call is on the contact list, the contact information that is available will be
displayed on the screen.

If there is an active call when there is an incoming call, the user will see a screen with additional options.
• The user can Reject the call and continue with the current call.
• The user can end the current call and accept the new incoming call.
The user can place the current call on hold and the new call will be connected. Once the call
has ended, the call on hold will be reconnected.
3. Call Connected Features
Once the call is connected, the display will show the connected call screen.
i. Contact Name
Displays the contact name if available. If not available, the phone number will be displayed.
ii. Phone status
Provides icons for the phone status that can be supported by the phone.
iii. Call timer
Displayed the current duration of the call.
iv. End Call
Button to end the call.
v. Mute Microphone
Button to mute the in vehicle microphone.
vi. Privacy
Button to transfer the call audio to the mobile phone.
vii. Keypad
Will provide the DTMF tones and display the keypad digit when pressed.

viii. On Hold
If there is a call is on hold, the contact name on Hold will be displayed, the Microphone mute button will be replaced with a Hold button.
ix. Swap
If there is a call on hold, the user can press, the Swap button to place the active call on hold and activate the call that is on hold. The displays will be updated to show the swapped status.
x. Join
If there is a call on hold, the user can press the Join button to create a conference call with the two calls. Once the second call is active, the screen will indicate a conference call and display the contact name or number that has joined.

7. Apps
Pressing the Apps button on the bottom menu bar will change the screen to the main Apps screen.
a. Connect Device
Pressing this button changes the screen to all ow the selection of already paired devices or to connect to a new device. The currently connected device will be indicated.
Pressing any of the already paired devices will connect to that device
b. Find Mobile Apps
Pressing this button will result in the system searching for apps in the connected device if available.

8. Projection Modes
Possible projection modes, depending on availability in a market: Android Auto, Carplay, Baidu Carlife.

a. First time connection

When a device is connected and will support a projection mode, the screen will display a first time connection to the projection mode.
If the selects to continue, the screen will display the specific projection mode privacy and terms of use. The user must agree to proceed with setting up the projection mode.
Once the projection mode is set up, the system will add the following:
The Entertainment system will add the projection mode to the Entertainment Sources display.
• The Apps button will be replaced with the connected projection mode.
• Nav Maps button will be displayed if supported.
The system will check for automatic connection to projection modes is set. If set and the connection has successfully completed, the display will transition to the projection screen controlled by the device.

1. 911/Assist Feature
If a device is connected, a selection to allows the 911 Assist/Emergency Assist to be turned On
or Off. If there is no device connected, there will be a message that a connected phone is required.
2. Set Emergency Contacts
If the phone contacts have been downloaded, there will be a setting to allow a contact to be set
for an emergency call.

When connected, the user can check if software updates are available. If updates are available,
the system will start the download and shows the progress bar for percentage complete.
c. Bluetooth

Allows the vehicle name to be changed; the name displayed on the device when pairing or

10. Emergency Assist

If the vehicle reports a qualified crash event in a market that support the feature, the infotainment system will support the Emergency Assist feature.
If the user has turned off the feature, there will be a notification that the Emergency Assistance
is Off and the emergency call will not be placed.
If the feature is turned on and there is no mobile phone connected, the user will be notified that
a call cannot be placed.
If, at any time, the feature is determined to be non-operational, a warning will displayed to
indicate this status to the user.
If the feature is turned on and there is a mobile phone connected, the feature will be active and
support the following:
o A prompt will be played to indicate that the systems will attempt to call 911. o A display will inform the user that the call is being placed. The user will have the option to
cancel the call using the screen or the steering wheel controls.
o Once the call is connected, the system will provide Prompts to a PSAP operator with crash
information.
o When the call is connected to the PSAP operator, the screen will indicate that the systems is
connected to an emergency operator.

11. Software Updates

When a USB device is inserted, the infotainment system will determine if a software update is available to be downloaded. The user will be informed that a software update is available and indicate some information for the download.
The screen will offer the user to proceed with the software update or decline the update. When the update is completed, the user will see an indication that the Update installation is completed.

12. Nav Map

If a nav map is enabled and available using a projection mode, the Nav Map buttons will appear on the lower menu bar. When pressed, the nav map app will be activated.

13. Vehicle Features

a. Active Park Assist/ Visual Park Assist
The infotainment display will support many warning and information icons as part of the active and
visual park assist
b. Chimes
The infotainment system will provide many chimes and warnings using the in-vehicle audio system
c. Climate Control
The infotainment system will support a reduced fan blower speed to limit the noise and enhance the
voice recognition
The infotainment system will provide a pop-up screen to allow the Auto Fan speed to be limited to a
level (Low, Medium, High)
A pop-up will be displayed when the fan blower speed is increased or decreased
A pop-up will be displayed when the driver or passenger is increased or decreased
d. Emergency Assistance
When a crash event occurs and the 911/Assist feature is enabled and a connected phone is available,
the system will notify the customer and attempt to place a 911/emergency call. The customer will have the option to cancel the call.
If privacy mode is enabled, the customer will be notified to use the mobile phone to make the call.
e. MyKey
MyKey is a feature that will reduce driver distraction by restricting some functionalities while the vehicle is moving.
If the Volume Limiter feature is enabled, the infotainment systems will limit the audio volume above
a specified speed. A message will be displayed to indicate the volume limit.
If the Beltminder Mute feature is enabled, the infotainment system will mute the audio system
(tuner, media and TA) until the seatbelt is fastened. A message will be displayed to indicate the mute condition.
If the Mykey is enabled, the Do Not disturb feature will overridden to On.
If the MyKey is enabled, the 911 Assist will be overridden to On.
f. Rear View Camera
When the vehicle transmission is in reverse, the rear view image will be displayed on the infotainment
screen.
g. Wireless Charging
When a device is charging or attempting to charge, notification or information will be displayed.
