in the back of the manual near the assembly diagram (or month and year of purchase if

The term “power tool” in all of the warnings listed below refers to your Mini
Needle Scaler.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Work area safety1.
Keep work area clean and well lit. a. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate the Scaler in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence b.
of ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may
ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. c.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Personal safety2.
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a.
the Scaler. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the inuence
of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating
power tools may result in serious personal injury.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such b.
as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the Scaler on. c. A
wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in
personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. d. This
enables better control of the Scaler in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, e.
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long
hair can be caught in moving parts.
Power tool use and care3.
Do not force the Scaler. Use the correct power tool for your application. a. The
correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was
designed.
Do not use the Scaler if the Throttle Lever (6) does not turn it on and off. b. Any
power tool that cannot be controlled with the Throttle Lever is dangerous
and must be repaired. When connecting the tool to the air supply, keep your
hands off the Throttle Lever to avoid accidentally starting the tool.
Disconnect the Scaler from its compressed air supply source before making c.
any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
Store idle power tools out of the reach of children, and do not allow people d.
unfamiliar with the Scaler or these instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, e.
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the Scaler’s
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Use the Scaler in accordance with these instructions and in the manner f.
intended for this particular type of power tool, taking into account the working
conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the Scaler for operations
different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

VIBRATION HAZARD
This tool vibrates during use. Repeated or long-term exposure to vibration may
cause temporary or permanent physical injury, particularly to the hands, arms
and shoulders. To reduce the risk of vibration-related injury:

be examined by a doctor and then have regular medical check-ups to ensure
medical problems are not being caused or worsened from use. Pregnant women
or people who have impaired blood circulation to the hand, past hand injuries,
nervous system disorders, diabetes, or Raynaud’s Disease should not use this
tool. If you feel any medical or physical symptoms related to vibration (such as
tingling, numbness, and white or blue ngers), seek medical advice as soon as
possible.
Do not smoke during use. Nicotine reduces the blood supply to the hands and 2.
ngers, increasing the risk of vibration-related injury.
Wear suitable gloves to reduce the vibration effects on the user.3.
Use tools with the lowest vibration when there is a choice between different 4.
processes.
Include vibration-free periods each day of work.5.
