Work area safety1.
Keep work area well lit. Have a a. clear view of anything you may be cutting. Dark or hidden areas invite accidents.
Keep children and bystanders b. away while using this Wood Saw.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
DO NOT cut directly overhead. c.
Always stand to one side and d. cut at a 45° angle to avoid falling debris.
DO NOT cut near utility lines. e. Plan ahead and clear the area beneath branches being cut to avoid personal and/or property damage.
Only use this EZ Cutting Wood f. Saw to cut tree limbs and roots that have a diameter of 3” or less.

equipment such as dust mask, heavy duty work gloves, non­skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for ap­propriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. e.
Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting teeth will cut bet­ter and are easier to control.

UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that the item is intact and undam­aged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Using one hand, place the EZ Cutting 1. Wood Saw around the branch or root to be sawed.
Position the Saw Blade (1) as close 2. to where the branch or root meets the tree.

3. Firmly grip Handles with both hands. Use brisk, short, back and forth strokes. Figure 1.
Do not pull so hard on Wood Saw 4. Blade that the Blade rebounds toward
you when the cut is nished. Use
enough force to help the Blade cut but not to bend the branch or root.
Stand to one side (as much as pos-5. sible) to prevent the branch falling on you as it detaches itself from the tree.
Removing branches and/or roots can 6. be traumatic to a tree, or bush, and can provide an entry point for disease and pests. Seek advice from your lo­cal lawn and garden specialist.
After use, carefully wipe debris from 7. Saw Blade, then store indoors away from children.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and
Lubrication
BEFORE EACH USE1. , inspect the general condition of the EZ Cutting Wood Saw. Check for any condition that may affect its safe operation.
AFTER USE2. , clean external surfaces of the tool with clean cloth and wipe saw blade (1) with light machine oil.
Store Wood Saw in a safe place out 3. of reach of children.
