GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
Keep children and bystanders away while securing the Tie Down. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when connecting the Tie Down. Do not use it to secure an object while you are tired or under the
inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while attaching may result in serious personal injury.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the Tie Down in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing
6. and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
Lock Handle down before use.

11.
Maintain Tie Downs. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, break-
12. age of parts and any other condition that may affect its operation. If damaged, have the Tie Down repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained products.
Use the Tie Down in accordance with these instructions and in the manner
13. intended for the particular type of product, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the product for operations different
from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
Maintain labels and nameplates on the Tie Down. These carry important safety
14. information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.
