1. Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved safety
impact eye goggles when using this product.
2. Maintain a safe working environment. Always keep the
work area free of obstructions, grease, oil, trash, and other debris. Do not use this product in areas near flammable chemi­cals, dust, and vapors.
3. Read and understand all instructions and safety pre­cautions as outlined in the manufacturer’s manual of the vehicle with which this product will be used.
4. Never allow the red and black Battery Clamps to touch each other or the same metal object.
5. WARNING! Lead acid batteries generate hydrogen gas dur-
ing normal operation, and even more gas is generated when the battery is charging. Hydrogen gas is explosive.
1. Make sure the transmissions of both vehicles are in “PARK” and their emergency brakes have been set. Also, turn off the engine of the “donor” vehicle prior to connecting the Booster Cable to the batteries of both vehicles.
2. Attach the RED/POSITIVE (+) Battery Clamps to the POSI­TIVE battery terminals of both vehicles.
3. Attach one BLACK/NEGATIVE (–) Battery Clamp to the NEGA­TIVE battery terminal of the “donor” vehicle. Attach the other BLACK/NEGATIVE (–) Battery Clamp to an unpainted, solid piece of metal on the vehicle with the “dead” batter y.
4. Start the “donor” vehicle’s engine and allow to idle.
5. Turn the ignition switch of the vehicle with the “dead” battery
to “START” for no more than 5 to 6 seconds. NOTE: If the vehicle’s engine does not start, turn the ignition switch to “OFF” and wait at least 3 minutes before repeating this Step. When finished, turn off both vehicles and remove the Booster Cable.

6. WARNING! If battery fluid comes in contact with skin, wash
with soap and water and rinse with lemon juice and vinegar. If the fluid comes into contact with eyes, flush with water for several minutes and contact a physician immediately. Never burn a battery as it can explode in a fire. Do not attempt to charge a leaking battery.
7. WARNING! People with pacemakers should consult their
physician(s) before using this product. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to a heart pacemaker could cause interfer­ence or failure of the pacemaker. In addition, people with pacemakers should adhere to the following: Caution is nec­essary when near the coil, spark plug wires, or distributor of a running engine.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To test a vehicle’s battery/alternator:
1. Attach one RED/POSITIVE (+) Battery Clamp to the POSI-
TIVE battery terminal of the vehicle. Then, insulate the re­maining RED/POSITIVE (+) Battery Clamp by clamping it to

4. Start the vehicle, and observe the LED display light to deter­mine the condition of the alternator. (See below.)
5. When finished, turn off the vehicle’s engine. Disconnect the Booster Cable from the battery and nonconductive objects. Then, store the Booster Cable in a clean, dry, safe location out of reach of children.
