1. Always wear ANSI approved safety goggles when stretching, fastening or releasing hooks.
2. Keep all body parts away from the potential cord rebound path.
3. Always inspect the stretch cord before using. Do not use the Cargo Net if the stretch cord is fray ed,
or if a hook is bent, or damaged.
4. Do not stretch the stretch cord beyond 50% of its new, unstretched length and width. Ex-
ample: This 36” x 43” Cargo Net must be stretched no more than 54” x 64from the tip of the hooks). While it is possible to stretch the cord a length f ar greater than 50% of its
unstretched length and width, to do so can cause hook and cord damage, severe rebound and
slippage, which may result in personal and/or property damage. Stretch cords may lengthen after
being used many times, and should only be stretched to 50% more than their original unstretched
length.
5. The Cargo Net is not a toy. Never allow children to use this product.
6. Always be a ware of the potential rebound path of the stretch cord. Always pull the cord to one side.
To avoid being struck by a rebounding cord never pull the cord towards or away from your body.
7. When fastening hooks, never anchor any hook by its tip. Attach the hook securely to a solid
mounting at its loop center .
8. Never alter the shape of the hooks or the Cargo Net. To avoid damaging the stretch cord, do not
position the cord around sharp cor ners or edges. If a hook has lost its original shape, discard the
cargo net.
9. The Cargo Net is designed to hold lightweight loads (75 lbs. maximum).
10. Do not use the Cargo Net for airfoil type loads. Loads which can “airplane” or rise with movement
such as a surfboard or large section of plywood should not be secured with stretch cord.
11. Stretch cords cannot be used for shifting, swaying and top heavy loads. Such a load can
swing out violently when a vehicle makes a tur n. Use the stretch cord to secure stable loads only.
Some loads may act as a wing or airfoil when in motion. Beware of additional stretching beyond the
safety point.
12. Harbor Freight Tools cannot be responsible for improper use of this product. Al wa ys use common
sense, and when in doubt, use rope or chain to secure an item.
