Recommended Air Line Components
Incorporate a lter, regulator with 1. pressure gauge, in-line shutoff valve, and quick coupler for best service, as shown in the diagram above.
An in-line shutoff ball valve is an important safety device because it controls the air supply even if the air hose is ruptured. The shutoff valve should be a ball valve because it can be closed quickly.
Note: If an automatic oiler system is not
used, add a few drops of Pneumatic Tool Oil to the airline connection before operation. Add a few more drops after each hour of continual use.
Note: Air ow, and therefore tool perfor-
mance, can be hindered by undersized air supply components.
The air hose must be long enough 3. to reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working.
Close the in-line safety valve be-4. tween the compressor and the tool.
Turn on the air compressor according 5. to the manufacturer’s directions and allow it to build up pressure until it cycles off.
Adjust the air compressor’s output 6. regulator so that the air output is enough to properly power the tool, but the output will not exceed the tool’s maximum air pressure at any
time. Adjust the pressure gradually,
while checking the air output gauge to set the right pressure range.
Inspect the air connections for leaks. 7. Repair any leaks found.
If the tool will not be used at this 8. time, turn off and detach the air supply, safely discharge any residual air

pressure, and release the throttle and/or turn the switch to its off position to prevent accidental operation.
Note: Residual air pressure should not be
present after the tool is disconnected from the air supply. However, it is a good safety measure to attempt to discharge the tool in a safe fashion after disconnecting to ensure that the tool is disconnected and unpowered.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: Do not adjust or tamper with any control or component in a way not
specically explained within
this manual. Improper adjustment can result in tool failure or other serious hazards.
Work Piece and Work Area Set Up
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT
SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
Inspect tool before use, looking for damaged, loose, and missing parts. If any problems are found, do not use tool until repaired.
Tool Set Up
TO PREVENT
SERIOUS INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION: Close the Ball Valve, detach the air supply, safely discharge any residual air pressure in the tool before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
Designate a work area that is clean 1. and well-lit. The work area must not allow access by children or pets to
prevent injury and distraction.
Route the air hose along a safe route 2. to reach the work area without creating a tripping hazard or exposing the air hose to possible damage. The air hose must be long enough to reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working.
There must not be hazardous ob-3.
jects (such as utility lines or foreign objects) nearby that will present a
hazard while working.
General Operating Instructions
Open the Ball Valve (6) by turning 1. Valve’s handle to a vertical position.
Unscrew Lock Knob (3) and readjust
Bowl (1) height.
Once the Bowl (1) has been set at 2. the required height and locked into place, remove oil pain plug to drain the oil.
WARNING! 3. Do not ll the Tank be- yond its 20-gallon capacity. The discharge hose is clear, so the oil in the tube will indicate the reservoir

ll level. When oil level reaches the
Hoop (14), drain the oil.
along at, level surfaces able to withstand the weight of the Oil Lift.
Back off Lock Knob (3) and raise 4. Drain Tube to above Gate Valve “ball” and tighten Lock Knob. Rotate Ball Valve handle to horizontal position.
Place Nozzle (12) securely in a used 5. oil collection receptacle. WARNING! Be sure to follow all local regulations regarding proper used oil collection.
Connect the compressor’s air supply 6. hose to the Air Inlet (9). Turn on the air compressor, making sure it is set between 7-10 PSI.
WARNING! Do not leave Oil Lift 7. unattended while it is in the evacuating oil process.
Please note: 8. The Oil Lift has a
Safety Valve (8) that can be pulled to rapidly release pressure in the Tank in case of an emergency.
Close Regulator (7) by pulling out the 9. knob and rotating counterclockwise. Pull Regulator’s cap out and slowly turn it in a clockwise direction while observing the Pressure Gauge. Do
not exceed 10 PSI.
Once oil is no longer being dis-10. charged from the Nozzle, turn off air compressor. Disconnect compressor air supply hose from the Air Inlet.
Before transporting the Oil Lift, open 11. the Lock Knob (3) and lower all the way. Then lock Drain Tube in place by turning the Lock Knob.
Use the Handle (10) when moving 12. the Oil Lift from one location to another. Always grasp the Handle with two hands and only transport Oil Lift
If the tool requires more force to 13. accomplish the task, verify that the
tool receives sufcient, unobstructed airow (CFM) and increase the
pressure (PSI) output of the regulator up to the maximum air pressure rating of this tool.
CAUTION! TO PREVENT TOOL AND ACCESSORY FAILURE, RESULTING IN INJURY: Do not exceed the tool’s maximum air pressure rating of 10 PSI.
Please Note: 14. Oil discharge rate will
be slightly affected by the outside temperature.
