SET UP AND OPERATION
Battery Installation
Battery Compartment
1. Before use, install (4) 1.5 VDC “AA” batteries
(not supplied).
To install batteries, remove Screw (18) from 2.

Remove Battery Cover (17) from Back Cover 3.

OPERATION
RPM Measurement
Attach the Cone Adapter (24) to the Rotating 1.

Set Function Switch to CONTACT2. .
Press the tip of the cone to the center of the 3.

Linear Speed Measurement
Attach the Surface Adapter Wheel (20) to the 1.
Rotating Axle (27) as described above. With
the Rotating Axle parallel with the rotating
shaft, touch the side of the shaft with the side
of Surface Adapter Wheel (20). Maintain light
and steady pressure against the shaft.
Set the Function Switch to FT/MIN (Feet per 2.
minute) or M/MIN (Meter per minute).
