The Operator
Do not operate the product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels on prescriptions to
determine if your judgment/reflexes might be impaired.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in moving parts.
Protective glov es and non-skid footw ear is recommended.
Wear restrictive hair cov ering to contain long hair .
Use eye and ear protection. Always w ear ANSI appro v ed impact saf ety goggles .
Never stand under a raised load.
Support the Load after it is raised and levelled.
Maintain proper footing and balance at all times.
Never stand or walk under a r aised load.

Before Operating
Before operating y our Load Lev eller , chec k for damaged parts. Bef ore using any tool, an y part that appears
damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended
function.
DO NOT e xceed the tools maxim um capacity (2 Ton).
Never force the tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool. It is designed to do the job better
and more safely at the rate for which it w as intended.
Do not try to use inappropriate attachments in an attempt to exceed the tool’s capacity. Approv ed accessories
are available from Harbor F reight Tools.
Make sure all clamps, locks and bolts are tight.
Inspect the tool for damage before every use. Never use it if damage is apparent. Only use identical
replacement parts.
Not to be used for aircraft purposes.
Assembly
Your Load Leveler comes completely assembled e xcept f or the Steel Chains. For assistance with chain
assembly please refer to Figure 1 in the Operation section as well as the Assembly Diagram on page 5 and the
Parts List on page 4.
It is important that you read the entire manual to become familiar with the unit BEFORE you use it. Be sure
that you have all parts described in the Parts List.
Step 1) Insert one Steel Chain (part #19) through each end of Brack et Body as shown in Figure 1.
Make certain to pull the chain through to its mid-point.
Warning: Failure to pull the Chain through to its mid-point ma y result in chain slipping, resulting in harm
or injury to persons and work pieces.
Warning: For safety and ease of hook up, use two people (at the minimum) to hook up the work
piece tothe Load Leveler .

Operation
Never force the tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool. It is designed to do the job better
and more safely at the rate for which it w as intended.
Refer to the P arts List on page 4 and the Assembly Diagram on page 5 to assist you with Oper ation and
Assembly instructions.
The Load Leveller can be used in combination with such tools as a Shop Cr ane or Overhead Hoist.
Warning: Never stand under an object that is being lifted. Be a w are of the possibility of a
load slipping off of a hook or hoist. An item that f alls from the Load Leveller may cause
serious injury.
Handle (#1)
Step 1) Attach the Hanging Block (part #8) to the Crane or Hoist to be used.
Step 2) Secure the load to be moved to the Steel Chains (part #19) at each end of the Bracket Body
(part #6).
Step 3) Turn the Handle (part #1) to move the load to its balance point, so that it is hanging ev enly
from the Load Leveller. As you turn the Handle, the Hanging Block will move to either side of
the Bracket Body.
