Safety Warnings and Precautions

Read all instructions before using this product!
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions. Do not use this product in damp or wet locations. Don’t expose to rain. Keep work area well lighted.
3. Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do not let them handle machines, tools, or extension cords. Do not allow children to play with this product; sharp material edges and a lockable cabinet could result in serious injury to children.
4. Store idle equipment. When not in use, products must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Always lock up products and keep out of reach of children.
5. Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool. There are certain applications for which this product was designed. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended. Do not modify this product and do not use this product for a purpose for which it was not intended.
6. Dress properly. When working, do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in moving parts. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long hair.
7. Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles.

8. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment and binding of moving parts; any broken parts or mounting fixtures; and any other condition that may affect proper operation. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.
9. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use accessories intended for use with this product. Approved accessories are available from Harbor Freight Tools.
10. Do not operate product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not use the product.
11. Do not use the Metal Workbench as a scaffold, ladder, stool or any use not intended for
this product. Caution: Be careful of sharp material edges when assembling and using the Metal Workbench.
12. Make certain to use the Metal Workbench on a flat, level and solid surface that can
support the weight of the Metal Workbench and all of its contents.
Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction
manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
Assembly
Your Metal Workbench will require complete assembly prior to use. It is important that your read the entire manual to become familiar with the unit BEFORE you use the Metal Workbench. Before assembling your Metal Workbench be sure that you have all parts described in the Parts List and Assembly diagram located on the last pages of this manual.
During assembly, loosely tighten all hardware into place. Do not firmly tighten down all hardware until the Workbench is completely assembled.
For safety and additional ease of assembly, it is recommended that two people put together the Metal Workbench.
Step 1) Attach the Support Panel (D) to the Top Panel (A) by inserting Bolt (H) down through
the middle of the Top Panel (A) and into the Support Panel (D). Slide on Washer (N) and tighten on Nut (M).
Step 2) Set the lip of the Right Side Panel without Corner (C) under the Top Panel (A) and
insert two (2) Bolts (H) down through the Top Panel and into the Right Side Panel without Corner (C). Slide on Washers (N) and tighten on Nuts (P).
Step 3) Set the lip of the Left Side Panel with Corner (E) under the Top Panel (A) and insert
two (2) Bolts (H) down through the Top Panel (A) and into the Left Side Panel with Corner (E). Slide on Washers (N) and tighten on Nuts (P).

Step 4) Lay Back Panel (B) up against the back of the Top Panel (A) and secure it in place
with two Bolts (H), Washers (N) and Nuts (P)-see Figure 1.

Step 5) Place one Leg (G) over each corner of the Workbench assembled thus far in steps 1
through 4. Insert a Bolt (H) through the hole in the center of the Leg (G) and through the Back Panel (B). Slide on Washers (N) and tighten on Nuts (P)-see Figure 1. Insert a second Bolt (H) into the hole on the other side, and secure with Washer (N) and Nut (M). Repeat for second rear Leg (G). Repeat for front two (2) Legs (G).
Step 6) Locate the Door with Lock and Key (F). Slide the pin on top of the Door (F) up into
the hole in the lip of the Top Panel (A). Slide the Bottom Panel (O) so that the pin on the bottom of the Door (F) slides into the bottom hole.
Step 7) Attach the Bottom Panel (O) to the Side Panels (C,E) by inserting Bolt down through
the lip of the Side Panel, then down through the Bottom Panel (O)-see Figure 2. Attach the Back Panel (B) up against the back of the Bottom Panel (O) and secure it in place with two Bolts (H), Washers (N) and Nuts (P)-see Figure 1. Attach the Support Panel (D) to the Bottom Panel (O) and secure with same hardware.

Step 8) Set the lip of the Drawer-Backing on top of the Drawer-Base. Attach the Drawer
Backing (R) to the Drawer Base (K) with three (3) Bolts, then slide on Washers (N) and secure with Nuts (P).

Step 9) Set the lips of the Drawer Sides(Q) onto the Drawer Base (K). Attach both (2)
Drawer Sides (Q) to the Drawer Base (K) but insert only rear and center Bolt (H), and secure with Washer (N) and Nut (P)-see Figure 3.

Step 10) Place the Drawer Front (L) with the lip on top and facing the front of the
Workbench. Insert three (3) Bolts (H), slide on Washers (N) and secure with Nuts (P)-see Figure 3. Secure Drawer Front (L) and Drawer Backing (R) to Drawer sides (Q) with Nut, Washer and Bolt-see Figure 4.

Step 11) Measure and mark the center of the Wooden Top (I). Set the Drawer Rails (M)

equidistant from the midpoint. Set the rails in place and make certain that the Middle Drawer will sit properly on the Rails (M). The Middle Drawer is 18-1/8" wide.
Step 12) Attach each Drawer Rail (M) to the Wooden Top (I) with three (3) Wood Screws (S)-
See Figure 5.

Step 13) The Legs will be attached at each corner of the Wooden Top (I). Measure to make
certain that each Leg (G) is placed within the same distance from each corner. Attach the Legs (G) to the Wooden Top (I) with three (3) Wood Screws (S) for each Leg-see Figure 5.

UNPACK AND CHECK CONTENTS When unpacking your Metal Workbench, check to make sure the following parts are included. If any parts are missing or broken, please call HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS at 1-800-444-3353.
