Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this product!
1.Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that appears damaged should
be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function.
Check for any broken or damaged parts and any other conditions that may affect its operation.
Replace or repair damaged or worn parts immediately.
3.Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts will void the warranty.
4.Always check hardware and assembled parts after assembling. All connections should be
tight and hardware tightened.
5.Keep children away. Children must never play with the Vise.
6.Dress properly. Gloves are recommended when using the Vise. Wear restrictive hair covering
to contain long hair.
7.Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles when using this
product.
8.Maintain product with care. Keep the Vise in a dry location. Keep the Vise clean of grease
9.Use the right Vise for the job. There are certain applications for which this Vise was

designed. Do not modify this Vise and do not use this Vise for a purpose for which it
was not intended.
10. If struck by a striking tool, the jaws may chip, this will damage the vise and possibly
result in eye or bodily injury. Always check the Vise for damage before using it. Always
replace the jaws if they are damaged.
11. Do not use the Vise if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels on
prescriptions to determine if your judgement or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there
is any doubt, do not assemble or use the Vise.

the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into
this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
Assembly/ Operation
Your Vise comes fully assembled other than putting on the handle (10). It is important that you read
the entire manual to become familiar with the product BEFORE you use the Vise. Before ataching
the handle (10) to the Vise be sure that you have all parts described in the Parts List and Assembly
Diagram located on the last pages of this manual.
NOTE: Make certain to follow all precautions and safety warnings listed in this manual and in the
drilling or milling machine manual.
NOTE: The Vise weighs 72 Lbs. It is recommended that two adults are present when moving or
assembling the Vise. Before intial use of the Machine Vise, use a soft cloth to wipe off the protective
coat of grease.

T-Slot Bolt (15)
1.To mount the Machine Vise to your milling or drill table Insert the T-Slot Bolts (15) into the
T-Slots on the Vise as shown in Figure 1.
2. Set the Machine Vise so that the T-Slot Bolts (15) in the Machine Vise line up with
the T-slots on the drill or mill table. Make certain that the surface being used is capable of
supporting the weight of the Vise and anything clamped into the Vise. Make certain that the
Vise is stable and secure once set in place on the milling/drilling machine. Then us T-nuts
(not provided) to secure the Machine Vise to the mill or drill table.
3.To install the Handle (10) first locate it and slide it onto the Screw (8) as in Figure 2.

Insert Lock Screw (6) to secure it in place.

4.To open the Plain Jaw (1), turn the Handle (10) counterclockwise until the jaws are at the
desired width. Insert your workpiece.
5.Turn the Handle (10) clockwise to tighten the Plain Jaw (1) on the workpiece. Do not
overtighten the Vise on the workpiece; damage may occur to the workpiece.
6.When you are finished, turn the Handle (10) counterclockwise to remove your
workpiece from the jaws.
7.The Machine Vise has a Scale (24) to set degree and location of the workpiece. Numerical
orientation is marked on the Scale (24) and can be set by lining up the number on the scale
with the metal clover shaped tab on the Scale (24) as in Figure 3. Move the Vise by
loosening the Hex Nut (13) and rotating the Vise to desired degree setting. Retighten Hex
Nut (13).

Replacing Plain Jaws (1)
1.To remove the Plain Jaws (1), unscrew the Inner Turret Screws (2). Pull off the Plain
Jaws (1) and replace with a new set-see Figure 4. Replace the Turret Screws (2)
