Lieferung kontrollieren

1. Transportieren Sie das Gerät an einen
eigneten Standort und packen Sie es aus
(siehe „Inbetriebnahme“ auf Seite 17).

2. Prüfen Sie, ob die Lieferung vollständig ist.

3. Kontrollieren Sie, ob das Gerät Transport­schäden aufweist.

4. Sollte die Lieferung unvollständig sein
oder das Gerät einen Transportschaden
aufweisen, nehmen Sie bitte Kontakt mit
unserem Service auf (siehe „Service“ auf
Seite 22).

Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung im
privaten Haushalt bestimmt.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät ausschließ­lich wie in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung
beschrieben. Jede andere Verwendung
gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und
kann zu Sachschäden oder sogar zu
Personenschäden führen. Der Hersteller
übernimmt keine Haftung für Schäden,
die durch nicht bestimmungsgemäßen
Gebrauch entstanden sind.

In einem solchen Fall Netzstecker
ziehen bzw. Sicherung herausschrau­ben/ausschalten und unseren Service
kontaktieren (siehe Seite 22).

■ Das Gerät entspricht der Schutz klasse I

und darf nur an eine Steck dose mit ord­nungsgemäß installiertem Schutzleiter
angeschlossen werden.
Der Anschluss an eine Steckdosen­leiste, eine Mehrfachsteckdose, eine
Zeitschaltuhr oder ein separates Fern­wirksystem zur Fernüberwachung und

-steuerung ist unzulässig.

■ Falls der Netzstecker nach dem Auf-

stellen nicht mehr zugänglich ist,
muss eine allpolige Trenn vor richtung
gemäß Über spannungs kate gorie III
in der Hausinstallation mit minde­stens 3 mm Kontaktabstand vorge­schaltet sein; hierzu zählen Siche­rungen, LS-Schalter und Schütze.

■ Netzkabel so verlegen, dass es nicht

zur Stolperfalle wird.

■ Netzkabel nicht knicken oder klem-

men und nicht über scharfe Kanten
legen.

■ Bei der Aufstellung des Gerätes ist si-

cherzustellen, dass die Netzanschluss­leitung nicht eingeklemmt oder be­schädigt wird.

■ Ortsveränderliche Mehrfachsteck-

dosen oder Netzteile nicht an der
Rückseite der Geräte platzieren.

■ Gerät, Netzstecker und Netzkabel von

offenem Feuer und heißen Flächen
fernhalten.

■ Immer am Netzstecker selbst nicht

am Netzkabel anfassen.

■ Netzstecker niemals mit feuchten

Händen anfassen.

■ Netzkabel und -stecker nie in Wasser

oder andere Flüssigkeiten tauchen.

■ Wenn das Netzkabel des Geräts be-

schädigt ist, muss es durch den Her­steller, dessen Kundendienst oder
eine qualifi zierte Fachkraft ausge­tauscht werden.
Eingriffe und Reparaturen am Ge­rät dürfen ausschließlich autorisier­te Fachkräfte vornehmen (siehe „Ser­vice“ auf Seite 22).

■ Wenn eigenständig Reparaturen am

Gerät vorgenommen werden, können
Sach- und Personenschäden entste­hen und die Haftungs- und Garantie­ansprüche verfallen. Niemals versu­chen, das defekte – oder vermeintlich
defekte – Gerät selbst zu reparieren.

■ Bei Reparaturen dürfen ausschließ-

lich Teile verwendet werden, die den
ursprünglichen Gerätedaten entspre­chen. In diesem Gerät befi nden sich
elektrische und mechanische Teile,
die zum Schutz gegen Gefahrenquel­len unerlässlich sind.

■ Abdeckungen von der Innenbeleuch-

tung nicht entfernen und nicht ver­suchen, die Innenbeleuchtung aus­zutauschen.

■ Keine Gegenstände in oder durch

die Gehäuseöffnungen stecken und
sicherstellen, dass auch Kinder keine
Gegenstände einstecken können.

■ Im Fehlerfall sowie vor umfangreichen

Reinigungsarbeiten den Netzstecker
ziehen bzw. die Sicherung ausschal­ten/herausdrehen.

Kinder können sich in der Verpackungs­folie verfangen oder Kleinteile verschlu­cken und ersticken.

Gerät abzuziehen oder aus dem Zu­behörbeutel zu nehmen und in den
Mund zu stecken.

Risiken im Umgang mit
chemischen Stoffen

Explosionsgefahr!
Unsachgemäßer Umgang mit che­mischen Stoffen kann zu Explosionen
führen.

■ Keine explosiven Stoffe oder Sprüh-

dosen mit brennbaren Treib mitteln
im Gerät lagern, da sie zünd fähige
Gas- Luft-Gemische zur Explosion
bringen können.

■ Zum Abtauen auf keinen Fall Abtau-

sprays verwenden. Sie können ex plo­ si ve Gase bilden.

oder Mangel an Erfahrung und Wis­sen benutzt werden, wenn sie beauf­sichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren

Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen
wurden und die daraus resultieren­den Gefahren verstehen. Kinder ab 3
Jahren und jünger als 8 Jahre dürfen
das Kühl-/Gefriergerät be- und ent­laden. Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem
Gerät spielen. Reinigung und Benut­zer-Wartung dürfen nicht von Kindern

Risiken im Umgang mit
Kühlgeräten

Brandgefahr!
Unsachgemäßer Umgang mit dem Ge­rät kann zu einem Brand und zu Sach­schäden führen.

■ Gerät nur an eine ordnungsgemäß

installierte Schutzkontakt-Steckdose
anschließen. Der Anschluss an eine
Steckdosenleiste oder eine Mehrfach­steckdose ist unzulässig.

■ Um ausreichende Luftzirkulation zu

gewährleisten, Belüftungsöffnungen
im Gerätegehäuse nicht verschließen.

■ Gerät nicht direkt an die Wand stellen.

Halten Sie die Mindestabstände ein
(siehe „Geeigneten Standort wählen“
auf Seite 17).

Im Kältemittel-Kreis lauf Ihres Gerätes

■ Damit im Fall einer Leckage des Kälte-

mittelkreislaufs kein zündfähiges Gas­Luft-Gemisch entstehen kann, muss
der Aufstellraum laut Norm EN 378
eine Mindestgröße von 1m

je 8g Käl­temittel haben. Die Menge des Kälte­mittels in Ihrem Gerät fi nden Sie auf
dem Datenblatt (siehe „Technische
Daten“ auf Seite 25).

Verletzungsgefahr!
Unsachgemäßer Umgang mit dem Ge­rät kann zu Verletzungen führen.

■ Das Gerät ist schwer und unhandlich.

Beim Transport die Hilfe einer weite­ren Person in Anspruch nehmen.

■ Sockel, Schub fä cher, Tü ren etc. nicht

als Tritt brett oder zum Ab stüt zen ver­ wen den.

■ Keine schweren Gegenstände auf dem

Gerät abstellen, sie könnten herunter­fallen und Verletzungen verurschen.

Gesundheitsgefahr!

Verunreinigte Lebensmittel können ge­sundheitliche Schäden verursachen.

■ Wenn die Tür für eine längere Zeit ge-

öffnet wird, kann es zu einem erheb­lichen Temperaturanstieg in den Fä­chern des Gerätes kommen.

■ Die Flächen, die mit Lebensmitteln

und zugänglichen Ablaufsystemen
in Berührung kommen können, regel­mäßig reinigen.

■ Rohes Fleisch und Fisch in geeigne-

ten Behältern im Kühlschrank so auf­bewahren, dass es andere Lebensmit­tel nicht berührt oder auf diese tropft.

■ Wenn das Kühl-/Gefriergerät längere

Zeit leer steht, das Gerät ausschalten,
abtauen, reinigen und die Tür offen
lassen, um Schimmelbildung zu ver­meiden.

Gesundheitsgefahr!!
Durch falsche Handhabung, unzurei­chende Kühlung oder Überlagerung
können die eingelagerten Lebensmittel
verderben. Bei Verzehr besteht die Ge­fahr einer Lebensmittelvergiftung!

■ Insbesondere rohes Fleisch und Fisch

ausreichend verpacken, damit da­nebenliegende Lebensmittel nicht
durch Salmonellen o. Ä. kontaminiert
werden.

■ Die von den Lebensmittelherstellern

empfohlenen Lagerzeiten einhalten.

■ Nach einem eventuellen Stromaus-

fall überprüfen, ob die eingelagerten
Lebens mittel noch genießbar sind.

Das Gerät arbeitet eventuell nicht ein­wandfrei, wenn es über längere Zeit zu
geringer Umgebungstemperatur aus­gesetzt wird. Es kann dann zu einem
Temperatur anstieg im Inneren kom­men.

■ Vorgesehene Umgebungs temperatur

ein halten (siehe Zeile „Klimaklasse“
auf Seite 24).

HINWEIS

Beschädigungsgefahr!
Wenn das Kühlgerät liegend trans­portiert wurde, kann Schmiermittel aus
dem Kompressor in den Kühlkreislauf
gelangt sein.

■ Das Kühlgerät nicht in die Horizonta-

le kippen, sondern nur in einer Schräg­lage von maximal 45° transportieren.
Vor Inbetriebnahme das Kühlgerät
2 Stunden aufrecht stehen lassen.
Währenddessen fl ießt das Schmier­mittel in den Kompressor zurück.

Unsachgemäßer Umgang mit dem Ge­rät kann zu Sachschäden führen.

■ Gerät nicht an der Tür oder am Tür-

griff ziehen oder heben.
Beim Auspacken keine scharfen oder
spitzen Gegenstände verwenden.

■ Keine elektrischen Geräte innerhalb

des Geräts betreiben, die nicht der
vom Hersteller empfohlenen Bauart
entsprechen.

■ Keine elektrischen Geräte innerhalb

des Kühlfachs betreiben, die nicht der
vom Hersteller empfohlenen Bauart
entsprechen.

■ Keine Gegenstände in die Lüftungs-

schlitze stecken und sicherstellen,
dass auch Kinder keine Gegenstände
hineinstecken.

■ Nur Original-Zubehörteile verwenden.

■ Nach dem Ausschalten 5 Minuten

warten. Erst danach das Gerät erneut
einschalten.

■ Innenbeleuchtung ausschließlich zur

Beleuchtung des Geräte-Innenraums
verwenden. Sie ist nicht zur Beleuch­tung eines Raumes geeignet.

gangs keine anderen mechanischen
Einrichtungen oder sonstigen Mit­tel als die vom Hersteller empfohle­nen benutzen. Z. B. keine elek tri schen
Heiz ge rä te, Messer oder Geräte mit
of fe ner Flamme wie z. B. Kerzen ver­ wen den. Die Wär medämmung und
der In nen be häl ter sind kratz- und hit­ ze emp fi nd lich und können schmelzen.

Unsachgemäßes Reinigen des Geräts
kann zu Sachschäden führen.

– Auf keinen Fall aggressive, körnige,

soda-, säure- oder lösemittel haltige
oder schmirgelnde Putz mit tel ver­wenden. Empfehlenswert sind All­zweckreiniger mit einem neutralen
pH-Wert.

– Türdichtungen und Geräteteile aus

Kunststoff sind empfindlich ge­gen Öl und Fett. Verunreinigungen
möglichst schnell entfernen.

– Nur weiche Tü cher verwenden.

Bedienung

Voraussetzungen zur sicheren
Verwendung

– Sie haben das Kapitel „Sicher-

heit“ ab Seite 5 gelesen und alle Sicher­heits hinweise verstanden.

– Das Gerät ist aufgestellt und angeschlos-

sen wie im Kapitel „Inbetriebnahme“ ab Sei­te 17 beschrieben.

Einschalten

1. Drücken Sie für etwa 3 Sekunden die Ein-/
Aus-Taste (6).
Die Innenbeleuchtung (18) leuchtet auf
und die Temperatur-Anzeige (3) erscheint.
Das Gerät ist eingeschaltet.
Der Kompressor beginnt zu arbeiten, das
Käl te mit tel strömt durch die Rohre und Sie
hören ein leises Rauschen.

2. Macht das Gerät störende Geräusche,
überprüfen Sie den festen Stand und
entfernen Sie Gegenstände, die auf dem
Ge rät liegen.

Ausschalten

1. Drücken Sie für etwa 3 Sekunden die Ein-/
Aus-Taste (6).
Die Innenbeleuchtung (18) und die Tempe­ratur-Anzeige (3) erlöschen.
Der Kompressor ist jetzt ausgeschaltet.
Das Gerät kühlt nicht.

2. Räumen Sie das Gerät aus und reinigen
Sie es (siehe „Wartung und Pflege“ auf
Seite 15).

3. Um das Gerät ganz auszuschalten, ziehen
Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose
bzw. schalten/drehen Sie die Sicherung
aus/heraus.

4. Lassen Sie die Tür leicht geöffnet, damit
sich kein Schimmel bildet.

Temperatur einstellen

WARNUNG

Gesundheitsgefahr!
Das Gerät arbeitet eventuell nicht ein­wandfrei, wenn es über längere Zeit zu
geringer Umgebungs tem pe ratur aus­gesetzt wird. Es kann dann zu einem
Temperaturanstieg im Gerät kommen.

■ Immer die vorgeschriebene Um ge-

bungs temperatur einhalten (siehe

„Klimaklasse“ auf Seite 24).

Mit den Tasten (4) „Temperatur erhöhen“
und (5) „Temperatur senken“ können Sie die
Temperatur im Gerät einstellen. Die Tempe­ratur-Anzeige (3) zeigt die eingestellte Tem­peratur an.

Zur Verfügung stehen Ihnen die Temperatu­ren von +2 °C bis +8 °C. Werkseitig ist eine
Temperatur von +5 °C voreingestellt.

• Wählen Sie zunächst eine mittlere Einstel­lung.

• Wählen Sie bei ansteigender Um ge­ bungs tem pe ra tur, z. B. im Sommer, eine
entsprechend hö he re Ein stel lung.

Um die Temperatur

– höher einzustellen, drücken Sie die Tas-

te (4) „Temperatur erhöhen“ so oft, bis die
gewünschte Temperatur angezeigt wird.

– niedriger einzustellen, drücken Sie die Tas-

te (5) „Temperatur senken“ so oft, bis die
gewünschte Temperatur angezeigt wird.

Die Einstellung wird automatisch nach 3 Se­kunden wirksam.

Um die Kühlleistung kontrollieren zu kön­nen, benötigen Sie idealerweise ein Kühl­thermometer.

• Platzieren Sie das Kühlthermometer ober­halb der kleinen Schub lade (16). Die richti­ge Temperatur beträgt hier +6 °C.

Luftbefeuchtung regulieren

Die optimalen Lagerbedingungen für frische
Lebensmittel unterscheiden sich je nach Art
des Lebensmittel. Die meisten Obst- und
Gemüsesorten bleiben bei einer hohen Luft­feuchtigkeit und einer Lagertemperatur von
+5 °C am längsten frisch. Fleisch, Fisch und

Mit der Taste (1) „Luftbefeuchtung“ können Sie
die Luftfeuchtigkeit im Gerät erhöhen.

Werkseitig ist die Luftbefeuchtung ausge­schaltet.

Taste „Luftbefeuchtung“

• Um die Luftfeuchtigkeit innerhalb des Ge­räts zu erhöhen, drücken Sie die Taste (1)
„Luftbefeuchtung“ für etwa 3 Sekunden.
Die Anzeige (2) „Luftbefeuchtung“ leuchtet
auf.

• Um die Luftbefeuchtung auszuschalten,
drücken Sie die Taste „Luftbefeuchtung“
ebenfalls für 3 Sekunden.
Die Anzeige „Luftbefeuchtung“ erlischt.
Das Gerät arbeitet wieder mit normaler
Luftfeuchtigkeit.

Den Luftaustausch zwischen der Obst-/Ge­müseschublade (14) und dem Geräteinnen­raum können Sie mit dem Lüftungsregler (15)
stufenlos regulieren.

• Schieben Sie den Lüftungsregler nach
links, um die Lüftungsschlitze zu schlie­ßen. Dadurch erreichen Sie eine höhere
Luftfeuchtigkeit innerhalb der Obst-/
Gemüseschublade.

• Schieben Sie den Lüftungsregler nach
rechts, um die Lüftungsschlitze zu öffnen.
Der Luftaustausch führt zu einer geringe­ren Luftfeuchtigkeit innerhalb der Obst-/
Gemüseschublade.

Ablagen und Türfächer umsetzen

Die Glasablagen (19), die Flaschenablage (12)
sowie das Türfach (7) und die Türablagen (11)
und (9) lassen sich herausnehmen und bei

Deckel nach oben ab.

Türalarm

Um einen übermäßigen Kälteverlust zu ver­hindern, ertönt ein Signalton, wenn die Tür
des Kühlschranks länger als 2 Minuten geöff­net ist.

Tipps für das Kühlen

Füllen Sie den Kühlschrank so, dass Sie die
Temperaturverhältnisse im Inneren optimal
ausnutzt:

–Legen Sie streichfähige Butter und Käse

in das Türfach (7) im oberen Kühlbereich.
Dort ist die Temperatur am höchsten.

– Lagern Sie Konserven, Gläser und Eier

auf der Türablage (11). Die Eier legen Sie
am besten auf die mitgelieferte Eierablage.

– Tub e n bewahren Sie entweder direkt in der

flachen Türablage (9) auf oder Sie verwen­den den Türablagen-Aufsatz (8). Im Türab­lagen-Aufsatz können Sie auch kleine Fla-

schen und Dosen aufbewahren.

– Verwenden Sie die Hängebehälter (10) zum

Aufbewahren von Käse.

–Stellen Sie Ge trän ke kartons und Fla-

schen in die Flaschenablage (12). Stellen

die Belastung der Tür zu vermindern.

–Legen Sie Gekochtes und Gebackenes

auf die Glasablagen (19).

–Legen Sie Frischfleisch, Wild, Geflügel,

Speck, Wurst und rohen Fisch auf die

Glasablage (17) über der kleinen Schub­lade (16).

– Nutzen Sie die kleine Schublade (16), um

leicht verderbliche und verpackte Lebens­mittel, wie z. B. Fisch, Fleisch, Fleischwa-

ren, Milch und Milchprodukte zu lagern.

– Legen Sie Lebensmittel mit einer hohen

Eigenfeuchte, wie z. B. frisches Obst

und Gemüse, Salate, Kräuter und Pil­ze, unverpackt in die Obst-/Gemüse-

schublade (14) und schließen Sie die
Lüftungsschlitze (siehe Abschnitt „Lüf­tungsregler“ auf Seite 11).

– Einige Obst- und Gemüsearten, wie z. B.

Zitrusfrüchte, Bananen, Ananas, Me­lonen, Gurken, Paprika, Auberginen,
Tomaten und Kartoffeln sind kälteemp-

findlich. Lagern Sie diese nicht in den
Schubladen (14) und (16).

– Lagern Sie hochprozentigen Alkohol nur

stehend und fest verschlossen.

Qualität erhalten

• Damit Aroma und Frische der Lebensmit­tel im Kühl schrank erhalten bleiben, legen
oder stellen Sie die Le bens mit tel verpackt
in den Kühlschrank. Ver wen den Sie spe­ zi el le Kunststoffbehälter für Lebensmittel
oder han dels üb li che Folien.
Eine Ausnahme ist die Obst-/Gemüse­schublade (14). In ihr lagern Sie frisches
Obst und Gemüse unverpackt.

• Legen Sie die Lebensmittel so in den
Kühlschrank, dass die Luft frei zir ku lie ren
kann.

• Decken Sie die Glasablagen nicht mit Pa­pier o. Ä. ab.

• Stellen Sie die Lebensmittel nicht direkt an
die Rückwand. Sie kön nen sonst an der
Rück wand fest frie ren.

Energieverbrauch reduzieren

• Lassen Sie warme Lebensmittel abkühlen,
ehe Sie sie in den Kühlschrank stellen.

• Die Temperaturen im Gerät und damit der
Energieverbrauch können ansteigen,

Türdichtungen kontrollieren
und reinigen

Die Türdichtungen müssen regelmäßig kon­trolliert werden, damit keine war me Luft in das
Gerät eindringt.

1. Klemmen Sie zur Prüfung ein dünnes
Stück Pa pier an verschiedenen Stel len
ein . Das Pa pier muss sich an allen Stellen
gleich schwer durch zie hen las sen.

2. Falls die Dich tung nicht überall gleichmä­ßig an liegt: Erwärmen Sie die Dich tung an
den entsprechenden Stellen vor sich tig mit
ei nem Haar trock ner und ziehen Sie sie
mit den Fin gern etwas her aus .

3. Reinigen Sie verschmutzte Dichtungen
nur mit klarem Wasser.

Außenwände reinigen

– Lackierte Oberflächen

Verwenden Sie nur eine leichte pH-neutra­le Seifenlauge.

– Edelstahl-Oberflächen

Verwenden Sie spezielle Edelstahl-Reini­ger aus dem Fachhandel. Niemals Politur
verwenden.

Kühlschrank abtauen

Dies ist nicht notwendig, denn der Kühl­schrank be sitzt eine Abtau-Automatik. Reif
und Eis werden au to ma tisch ab ge taut und
das Tauwasser auf der Rückseite des Ge rä ts
in einer Tauwasserschale gesammelt. Durch
die Wärme des Mo tors verdunstet das Tau­wasser.

Kühlschrank reinigen

1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, indem Sie
für 3 Sekunden die Ein-/Aus-Taste (6)
drücken.

2. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose bzw. schalten/drehen Sie die
Sicherung aus/heraus.

3. Nehmen Sie das Kühlgut heraus und
stellen Sie es in ei nen kühlen Raum.

4. Nehmen Sie die Schubladen, die Türab­lagen, das Türfach und die Glasablagen
heraus und reinigen Sie alle Teile in
lauwarmem Spülwasser. Trocknen Sie
danach alles gründlich ab.

5. Wischen Sie den In nen raum mit war mem
Was ser und Spül mit tel aus .
Geben Sie beim Nach wi schen ei ni ge

6. Wischen Sie den Innenraum trocken und

und Fett.

8. Setzen Sie die zuvor entnommenen und
gereinigten Geräteteile wieder ein.

9. Legen Sie die Lebensmittel in den Kühl­schrank zurück.

10. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker wieder in die
Steckdose bzw. schalten/drehen Sie die
Sicherung ein.

11. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie für
3 Sekunden die Ein-/Aus-Taste (6) drü­cken.

Innenbeleuchtung

schieben Sie ihn auf den Laufrollen an
seinen Standort.

• Packen Sie das Gerät aus und entfer­nen Sie vorsichtig alle Verpackungsteile,
Kunststoffprofile, Klebestreifen, Schutzfo­lien und Schaumpolster innen, außen und
auf der Geräterückseite.

■ Sorgen Sie dafür, dass die vorgese-

hene Umgebungs temperatur einge­halten wird (siehe „Klimaklasse“ auf

Damit im Fall einer Leckage des Kältemit­telkreislaufs kein zündfähiges Gas-Luft-Ge­misch entstehen kann, muss der Aufstellraum
laut Norm EN 378 eine Mindestgröße von 1 m³
je 8 g Kältemittel haben. Für dieses Gerät er­gibt sich daraus eine minimale Raumgröße
von 7,5 m³.

Gut geeignet sind Standorte, die trocken, gut
be lüf te t und möglichst kühl sind.

Ungünstig sind Standorte mit direkter Sonnen­einstrahlung oder un mit tel bar neben einem
Ofen, Herd oder Heiz kör per.

– zu Öl- und Kohleherden 30 cm
– zu anderen Kühlgeräten 10 cm

Möchten Sie diese Abstände verringern, kön­nen Sie eine Isolierplatte zwi schen den Gerä­ten anbringen.

Wenn am Auf stel lungs ort eine Fußbodenhei­zung installiert ist, stellen Sie das Kühlgerät
auf eine Isolierplatte aus festem Material.

4. Gleichen Sie Unebenheiten des Un­ ter grunds mithilfe der bei den vorderen
Schraubfü ße (13) aus.

– Schließen Sie dazu die Tür.
– Kippen Sie das Gerät leicht nach hinten

und drehen Sie die Schraubfü ße hinein
bzw. heraus.

– Richten Sie das Gerät wieder auf und

überprüfen Sie die Ausrichtung mit einer
Wasserwaage.

– Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang, bis das

Gerät senk recht aus ge rich tet ist. Beim
Öffnen der Tür darf sich das Ge rät nicht
be we gen.

Grundreinigung

Um den Geruch zu ent fer nen, der allen neu­en Ge rä ten anhaf tet, reinigen Sie das Gerät,
bevor Sie es benutzen (siehe „Kühlschrank
reinigen“ auf Seite 16).

Sie des halb bitte an hand der Ta bel le, ob Sie

Temperatur-Alarm

Wenn die Temperatur im Gerät länger als
6 Stunden auf über +15 °C ansteigt, ertönt
ein Warnsignal 10 Sekunden lang. In der
Temperatur- Anzeige (2) blinkt der Störungs­code „E9“.

Der Temperatur-Alarm wiederholt sich alle
30 Minuten. Er verstummt erst, wenn die Tem­peratur im Gerät unter +10 °C fällt oder Sie
den Alarm ausschalten.

• Um den Alarm auszuschalten, drücken
Sie eine beliebige Taste.

Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.

■ Only use the appliance indoors. Do

not use in damp environments or in
the rain.

■ Do not operate or continue to oper-

ate the appliance if

– it shows visible signs of damage,

e.g. the power cord is defective,

– it starts smoking or there is a smell

of burning,

– it makes unfamiliar noises.

In such cases, pull out the mains
plug or unscrew/isolate the fuse and
contact our service department (see
EN-21).

■ This is a class 1 electrical appliance

and may only be connected to a prop­erly installed and earthed socket.
Do not connect to a power strip, mul­tiple socket outlet, timer or to a sepa­rate remote-controlled system for dis­tance monitoring and control.

■ If the mains plug is no longer acces-

sible after installation, an all-pole dis­connecting device complying with
overvoltage category III must be
connected to the house wiring with a
contact gap of at least 3 mm; this in­cludes fuses, circuit breakers and con­tactors.

■ Take care to prevent the risk of trip-

ping when laying the mains cord.

■ Do not kink or pinch the mains cord

or lay it over sharp edges.

■ When positioning the appliance, en-

sure the supply cord is not trapped or
damaged.

■ Do not locate multiple portable

socket- outlets or portable power sup­plies at the rear of the appliance.

■ Keep the appliance, the mains plug

and the mains cord away from open
fl ames and hot surfaces.

■ Always touch the mains plug, not the

mains cord.

■ Never touch the mains plug with wet

hands.

■ Never immerse the mains cord or plug

in water or any other liquids.

■ If the mains cord of the appliance is

damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, through customer ser­vice or by a qualifi ed specialist.
Inspections and repairs to the appli­ance may only be carried out by au­thorised specialists (see „Service de­partment“ on page EN-21).

■ Independent repairs made to the ap-

pliance may cause damage to prop­erty and personal injury, and any li­ability and warranty claims will be
forfeited. Never attempt to repair the
faulty – or supposedly faulty – appli­ance yourself.

■ Only parts corresponding to the orig-

inal appliance specifi cations may be
used for repairs. This appliance con­tains electrical and mechanical parts
which are essential for protection
against potential sources of danger.

■ Do not remove the covers for the in-

terior lighting and do not attempt to
replace the interior lighting.

■ Do not put any objects in or through

the housing openings, and also make
sure that children cannot insert any
objects into them.

■ In the event of a fault, as well as be-

fore extensive cleaning, pull out the
mains plug or isolate/unscrew the
fuse.

Improper handling of chemical sub­stances can lead to explosions.

■ Do not store explosive substances or

spray cans with fl ammable propel­lants inside the appliance, as they
may cause ignitable gas-air mixtures
to explode.

■ Never use defrosting sprays to de-

frost. They can generate explosive
gases.

Risks for certain groups of people

Dangers for children and people with
limited physical, sensory or mental ca­pacity!

■ This appliance can be used by child-

ren aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, senso­ry or mental capabilities or lack of ex­perience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and understand the ha­zards involved. Children aged from 3
to 8 years are allowed to load and un­load refrigerating appliances. Child­ren shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without su­pervision.

Risks associated with using
refrigerators

Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to fi re and property damage.

■ Only connect the appliance to a

properly installed and earthed elec­tric socket. Do not connect to a mul­ti-socket extension cable or a mul­ti-socket plug.

■ Keep ventilation openings, in the ap-

pliance enclosure or in the built-in
structure, clear of obstruction.

■ Do not place the appliance directly

against the wall. Observe the min­imum clearances (see „Choosing a
suitable location“ on page EN-17).

Dangers from the refrigerant!
Your appliance’s refrigeration circuit
contains the environmentally friend­ly, but fl ammable refrigerant R600a
(isobutane).

■ Mechanical intervention in the refrig-

eration system must only be carried
out by authorised specialists.

■ Do not damage the refrigerant cir-

cuit, for example by piercing the re­frigerant channels of the condensate
vaporiser with sharp objects, bending
the tubing, etc.

■ Refrigerant is fl ammable when spurt-

ing out and can damage the eyes. In
this case, rinse your eyes in clean wa­ter and seek medical assistance im­mediately.

■ To prevent the formation of a fl am-

mable gas-air mixture in the event of
a leakage in the refrigeration circuit,
the installation space must have a
minimum size of 1 m³ per 8 g of refrig­erant in compliance with the EN 378
standard. The amount of refrigerant
contained in your appliance can be
found on the data sheet (see „Techni-

cal specifications“ on page EN-24).

Improper handling of the appliance
may result in injury.

■ The appliance is heavy and bulky.

Seek the help of another person when

moving the appliance.

■ Bases, drawers, doors, etc. must not

be used as steps or for support pur-

poses.

■ Do not place heavy objects on the ap-

pliance, as they could fall down and

cause injuries.

Health hazard!
Incorrect handling, insuffi cient cool­ing or overlapping items can spoil the
stored food. This could lead to a risk of
food poisoning when consumed!

■ In particular, pack raw meat and fi sh

carefully to ensure that adjacent
food cannot be contaminated by sal­monella or similar bacteria.

■ Abide by the storage times recom-

mended by food manufacturers.

■ After a possible power failure, check

whether the stored foodstuffs are still
edible.

The appliance may not operate proper­ly if exposed to low ambient tempera­tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper­ature inside the appliance.

■ Observe the specifi ed ambient tem-

perature (see “climate class” line on
see EN-23).

NOTICE

Risk of damage!
If the applicance has been transported
horizontally, lubricant from the com­pressor may get into the cooling circuit.

■ As far as possible, do not turn the ap-

pliance horizontally; transport it at a
maximum incline of 45°. Leave the
appliance to stand in an upright po­sition for 2 hours before start-up. The
lubricant will fl ow back into the com­pressor during this time.

■ Do not use the door or door han-

dle to pull or lift the appliance.

Do not use sharp or pointed objects

to unpack it.

■ Do not use any electrical parts inside

the appliance that do not conform to

the manufacturer’s recommended

design.

■ Do not use electrical appliances insi-

de the food storage compartments of

the appliance, unless they are of the

type recommended by the manufac-

turer.

■ Do not put any objects in the cooling

system’s ventilation slots and also

make sure that children cannot insert

any objects into them.

■ Only use original accessories.

■ Wait 5 minutes after switching off.

Only then switch the appliance on

again.

■ To get rid of the smell that comes

with all new appliances, wipe down

the inside using lukewarm water with

vinegar.

■ Only use the interior light to illumi-

nate the interior of the appliance. It

is not suitable for lighting a room.

■ Do not use mechanical devices or

other means to accelerate the de­frosting process, other than those re­commended by the manufacturer.
For example, do not use any electric
heating equipment, knives or devices
with an open fl ame such as a candle.
The thermal insulation and the interi­or are scratch and heat-sensitive and
can melt.

Improper cleaning of the appliance can
damage it.

– Never use harsh, granular, soda,

acid, solvent-based or abrasive
cleaners. All-purpose cleaners with
a neutral pH are recommended.

– Door seals and plastic parts are

sensitive to oil and grease. Remove
contaminants as quickly as possi­ble.

– Use only soft cloths for cleaning.

EN-5 and understand all the safety notices.

– The appliance is set up and connected as

described in chapter „Start-up“ from see

EN-17.

and off

Switching on

1. Press the On/Off button for approx. 3 sec-

onds (6).

The interior lighting (18) will illuminate and

the temperature display (3) will appear.

The appliance is switched on.

The compressor starts to work, the refrig-

erant flows through the pipes and a quiet

humming sound can be heard.

2. If the appliance makes worrying noises

check that it is positioned on a solid base

and remove any objects that are on top of

the appliance.

Switching off

1. Press the On/Off button for approx. 3 sec-

onds (6).

The interior lighting (18) will illuminate and

the temperature display (3) will go out.

The compressor is now switched off. The

appliance doesn’t refrigerate.

2. Empty the appliance and clean it (see

„Maintenance and care“ on page EN-15).

3. To completely switch off the appliance,
pull the mains plug out of the socket or
switch off/turn off the fuse.

4. Leave the door open slightly to avoid
mould formation.

Setting the temperature

WARNING

Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper­ly if exposed to low ambient tempera­tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper­ature inside the appliance.

■ Always maintain the prescribed ambi-

ent temperature (see “Climate class”
on see EN-23).

Using the buttons (4) “Increase temperature”
and (5)“Reduce temperature” you can set the
appliance temperature. The temperature dis­play (3) will show the temperature which has
been set.
A temperature range of +2 °C to +8 °C is avail­able to select. The factory setting is +5 °C.

• First select a medium setting.

• If, for example in summer, the ambient
temperature increases, so select a lower
setting accordingly.

To set the temperature

– higher, press the (4)“Increase temperature”

button as often as required until the desired
temperature is displayed.

– lower, press the (5) “Reduce temperature”

button as often as required until the desired
temperature is displayed.

The setting will automatically take effect after
3 seconds.

You ideally need a refrigerator thermometer
to be able to control the cooling efficiency.

• Position the refrigerator thermometer
above the small drawer (16). Here the
correct temperature is +6 °C.

Regulating the air humidity

The optimal storage conditions for fresh foods
differ according to the type of food. Most vari­eties of fruit and vegetables remain fresh for
longer at a high level of air humidity and a
storage temperature of +5 °C. Meat, fish and
dairy products will keep for longer at a lower
level of air humidity.

Using the “Air humidification” button (1), you
can increase the air humidity in the appliance.

The air humidification function is switched off
in the factory settings.

‘Air humidification’ button

• To increase the air humidity within the
appliance, press the ‘air humidification’
button (1) for approximately 3 seconds.
The ‘air humidification’ (2) button will illu­minate.

• To increase the air humidity within the
appliance, press the ‘air humidification’
button for approximately 3 seconds.
The ‘air humidification’ display will illumi­nate. The appliance will once again oper­ate with normal air humidity.

You can continuously regulate the air ex­change between the fruit/vegetable draw­er (14) and the inside of the appliance using
the ventilation controller (15).

• Push the ventilation controller to the left
to close the vents. The air humidity in the
fruit/vegetable drawer will be higher as a
result.

• Push the ventilation controller to the right
to open the vents. The air exchange will
result in reduced air humidity in the fruit/
vegetable drawer.

Changing the interior fittings

Moving glass shelves and door
compartments

The glass shelves (19), the bottle rack (12),
the door compartment (7) and the door
shelves (11) and (9) can be taken out and
rearranged if necessary.

1. Lift the shelf/door compartment and take
it out.

2. Place the shelf in the new position from
above.

The flat door shelf (9) can be increased in
size by inserting the door shelf top unit (8).

• Place the door shelf top unit into the flat
door shelf from above.

make the suspended containers airtight.

• To fill a suspended container, pull it out
and take the lid off by pulling it upwards.

been open for longer than 2 minutes.

Fill the refrigerator to make the best use of
the temperature conditions inside:

– Place spreadable butter and cheese in

the top door compartment (7) of the fridge.
This is where the temperature is warmest.

– Store preserves, jars and eggs in the

door shelf (11). Eggs are best stored on
the supplied egg rack.

– Tubes should be kept either in the flat door

shelf (9) or use the door shelf top unit (8).
You can also store small bottles and cans
in the door shelf top unit.

– Use the suspended container (10) to store

cheese.

– Place drinks cartons and bottles in the

bottle rack (12). Position full containers
closer to the hinge in order to reduce the
strain on the door.

– Place cooked and baked foods on the

glass shelves (19).

– Place fresh meat, game, poultry, bacon,

sausage and raw fish on the glass shelf
(17) above the small drawer (16).

– Use the small drawer (16) to store foods

which spoil easily or which are packaged,
such as fish, meat, meat products, milk
and milk products.

– Store foods which contain a high percent-

age of water such as fresh fruit and veg-
etables, salads, herbs and mushrooms
without any packaging in the fruit/vegetable
drawers (14) and close the vents (see sec­tion „Ventilation controller“ on page EN-11).

– Some varieties of fruit and vegetables such

as citrus fruits, bananas, pineapples,

melons, cucumbers, peppers, auber­gines, tomatoes and potatoes are sen-

sitive to the cold. Do not store them in the
drawers (14) and (16).

– Only store strong alcohol standing upright

and closed tightly.

Maintaining quality

• To maintain the flavour and freshness of
food in the refrigerator, make sure that
any food to be refrigerated is packaged
before you place it inside. Use special
plastic containers for food or customary
films.
One exception is the fruit/vegetable draw­er (14). You can store fresh fruit and veg­etables unpackaged in here.

• Store food in the refrigerator in a way that
allows air to circulate freely.

• Do not cover the glass shelves with paper
or anything similar.

• Do not place food directly against the
back wall. Otherwise it may freeze onto
the rear wall.

Reducing energy
consumption

• Allow hot food to cool before placing it in
the refrigerator.

• The temperatures in the appliance and
thus the energy consumption can in­crease

– if the door is opened frequently or for a

prolonged period.

– if the temperature falls below or exceeds

the prescribed interior temperature.

• Energy consumption is also dependent
on the selected location (for more detailed
information, see see EN-17).

Checking and cleaning the
door seals

The door seals must be checked regularly so
that no air can enter the appliance.

1. To test them, clamp a thin piece of paper
in various places. The paper should be
difficult to pull through at all points.

2. If the seal is not uniform everywhere:
Carefully warm the seal in the affected
places with a hair dryer and pull it out
slightly with your fingers.

3. Only clean dirty seals with clean water.

Clean exterior

– Coated surfaces

Only use light pH-neutral soapy water.

– Stainless steel surfaces

Use special stainless steel cleaner from a
specialist shop. Never use polish.

The surfaces and appliance parts can be
damaged through improper handling.

■ Never use harsh, soda, acid, solvent

or abrasive cleaners. These attack the
plastic surfaces. All-purpose cleaners
with a neutral pH are recommended.

■ Use care products only on the outer

surfaces.

■ Door seals and plastic parts are sen-

sitive to oil and grease. Remove con­taminants as quickly as possible.

■ Only use soft cloths.

Defrosting the refrigerator

This is not necessary as the refrigerator has
an auto-defrost feature. Frost and ice are
automatically defrosted and the thaw water
is collected in a thaw water container on the
reverse side of the appliance. The thaw water
evaporates as a result of the heat generated
by the motor.

Cleaning the refrigerator

1. Switch the appliance off by pressing the
On/Off button (6) for 3 seconds.

2. Pull the mains plug out of the socket or
switch off/screw out the fuse.

3. Remove the chilled goods and place
them in a cool room.

4. Remove the drawers, door shelves, door
compartment and glass shelves and
wash all the parts in lukewarm soapy
water. Then dry everything thoroughly.

5. Wipe down the inside with warm water
and washing-up liquid.
When wiping clean, add a few drops of
vinegar to the water to prevent mould
from forming.

6. Wipe the interior dry and leave the door
open a while to air.

7. Only clean the door seals with clean wa­ter; they are sensitive to oil and fat.

8. Replace the appliance parts which you
have previously removed and cleaned.

9. Put the food back in the refrigerator.

10. Reconnect the mains plug to the socket
or switch on/screw in the fuse again.

11. Switch the appliance on by pressing the
On/Off button (6) for 3 seconds.

Interior lighting

when you open the door and switches off

the help of a second person.

• At the rear, beneath the fridge, you will
find two rollers on which you can roll the
fridge for a short distance. To do so, tip
the fridge slightly to the rear (not more
than 20°) and push it on its rollers to its
intended location.

• Unpack the appliance and carefully re­move all packaging, plastic moulding,
adhesive strips, protective film and foam
padding from the inside, outside and back
of the appliance.

Choosing a suitable location

CAUTION

Dangers from the refrigerant!

■ Do not damage the refrigeration cir-

cuit, for example by piercing the re­frigerant channels of the condensate
vaporiser with sharp objects, cutting
off the tubing, etc.

■ Refrigerant is fl ammable when spurt-

ing out and can damage the eyes. If
this happens, rinse eyes with clean
water and seek medical assistance
immediately.

The appliance may not operate proper­ly if exposed to low ambient tempera­tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper­ature inside the appliance.

■ Make sure that the specifi ed ambient

temperature is maintained (see “Cli­mate class” on see EN-23).

To prevent the formation of an ignitable gas­air mixture in the event of a leak in the re­frigeration circuit, the installation space must
have a minimum size of 1 m³ per 8 g of re­frigerant in compliance with standard EN 378.
That equates to a minimum space of 7.5 m³
for this appliance.

Suitable locations are dry, well-ventilated ar­eas that are cool if possible.

Unsuitable locations are ones with direct sun­light or which are directly next to an oven, hob
or radiator.

The following minimum distances must be
maintained:

– from electrical hobs 10cm
– from oil and coal burning stoves 30cm
– from other cooling appliances 10cm

– from washing machines/dishwashers 10cm
If you would like to reduce these distances,
you can fit an insulation plate between the
appliances.

If underfloor heating is installed at the set-up
location, place the appliance on an insulation
plate made from solid material.

Setting up and aligning the
appliance

1. Place the appliance on as flat and as firm

a base as possible.

2. To ensure adequate air circulation,

– maintain a clearance of at least 30cm

above the appliance.

– maintain a clearance of at least 10cm

between the rear of the appliance and
the wall.

– maintain a clearance of 7.5cm to the

sides.

3. Check the position with a spirit level.

4. Level out any unevenness on the ground
using the two front screw feet (13).

– Close the door.
– Tilt the appliance backwards slightly and

screw/unscrew the screw feet.

– Stand the appliance back up again and

check the alignment with a spirit level.

– Repeat the process until the appliance

is standing up vertically. The appliance
should not move when opening the door.

Cleaning before use

To remove the odour that comes with all new
appliances, clean the appliance before using
it (see „Cleaning the refrigerator“ on page
EN-16).

Connecting the appliance

NOTICE

Risk of damage!
If the appliance has been transported
horizontally, lubricant from the com­pressor may make its way into the cool­ing circuit.

■ As far as possible, do not turn the ap-

pliance horizontally; transport it at a
maximum incline of 45°.

■ Allow the appliance to stand upright

for approx. 2 hours after transport
and before connecting. This allows
the lubricant enough time to fl ow
back into the compressor.

• Insert the mains plug into an easily acces­sible socket (220–240 V~ / 50 Hz).

Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appli­ances. This does not necessarily mean there
is a defect in the appliance. For this reason,
please check the tables to see if you can cor­rect the malfunction.

Temperature alarm

If the temperature in the appliance rises
above +15 °C for longer than 6 hours, a warn­ing signal lasting 10 seconds will sound. The
fault code “E9” (2) will flash in the tempera­ture display.

The temperature alarm will be repeated every
30 minutes. It will only go off if the tempera­ture in the appliance falls below +10 °C or you
switch the alarm off.

• Press any button to switch off the alarm.

WARNING

Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appliance yourself. You can put
your own and future users’ lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to
carry out this repair work.
