SystemRoMedic
OneWaySlide is used for repositioning farther back in a chair/wheelchair. OneWaySlide is designed to glide easily
backward, but not forward. It is placed so that the user remains sitting on it.

Check Safety
Visual inspection
Check the condition and function of the assistive device regularly. Always inspect the product after laundering. Check to
ensure that seams and material are free from damage. Check to ensure that fabric is not worn or faded. If there are signs
of wear, the product must be discarded.
Friction test
Low friction - Ensure that the surface is smooth and slides effortlessly.
Compare with a new product.
High friction - Ensure that the surface is rough and prevents the
transfer aid from moving. Compare with a new product.

Always read the user manuals for all assistive devices used during a transfer.
Keep the user manual where it is accessible to users of the product.
Always make sure that you have the right version of the user manual.

Placement of OneWaySlide
Check to ensure that the OneWaySlide lies securely on the seat cushion. A rough material
on the top of the seat cushion gives the best result.
Place the OneWaySlide as indicated by the arrow on the product label and allow it to hang
about 10 cm/3,9 inch over the front edge of the cushion.
NOTE! Place OneWaySlide according to instructions on product label. Incorrect placement
may entail a risk of the patient sliding out of the chair.
Using OneWaySlide
If the user slides forward in the wheelchair, the caregiver can
help them to lean forward and provide counter pressure,
thereby enabling the user to slide back in the chair.
Make sure the knees are raised to the same level as the hips.
This can be done with the aid of a FootStool.

Colocación de OneWaySlide
Asegúrese de que OneWaySlide repose firmemente sobre la almohadilla del asiento. Un
material áspero en la parte superior de la almohadilla ofrecerá un resultado óptimo.
Sitúe OneWaySlide como indica la flecha de la etiqueta de producto y deje que cuelgue
unos 10 cm sobre el borde delantero de la almohadilla.
¡ATENCIÓN! Coloque OneWaySlide de acuerdo a las instrucciones de la etiqueta de
producto. Una ubicación incorrecta puede hacer que el usuario se resbale de la silla.
Uso de OneWaySlide
Si el usuario se desliza hacia adelante en la silla de ruedas,
el asistente puede ayudarle a inclinarse adelante y aplicarle
luego contrapresión, lo que le permitirá recolocarse en la
parte trasera de la silla.
Verifique que tenga las rodillas alzadas al mismo nivel que las
caderas. A tal fin puede ayudarse de FootStool.
