Thank you for purchasing this Hampton Bay interior
portable luminaire. This product has been manufactured
to the highest standards of safety and quality. The
durable finish and shade design provide for care-free
maintenance. Simply wipe with a clean towel to keep
looking new.

FEATURES:

1. Provides both an uplight and adjustable reading light.

2. Lamp holder may be fitted with a CFL equivalent
energy-saving bulb(s).

CAUTION:

1. Before starting to assemble your portable luminaire,
spread all parts out on a clean flat surface. Inspect each
part for defects that may have occurred during shipping.
Be careful when unpacking the lamp since the wires are

connected. If the wires are pulled out of their connectors,
it may result in a bad connection.
Important: Inspect the wire insulation for any cuts,
abrasions or exposed copper that may have resulted
during shipping. If there is a defect in the wire, DO NOT
continue the assembly operation. Please call our
Customer Service Team at 1-877-527-0313.

2. CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN IF YOU
HAVE ANY ELECTRICAL QUESTIONS.

3. Keep your receipt and these Instructions for Proof of
Purchase.

4. This portable lamp has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other) as a safety feature to reduce the risk
of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless plug
can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug. CAUTION:

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Begin assembly at the bottom of the lamp.

2. Insert lamp pole (B) into base (A) and turn clockwise
to tighten.

3. Insert lamp pole (C) into lamp pole (B) and turn
clockwise to tighten.

4. Repeat above step with poles D and E.

5. Insert the shade holder (F) into lamp pole (E) and turn
clockwise to tighten. You may need to pull any excess
cord gently through the poles so that these parts fit.

6. Unscrew the wing nut (H) from the screw (I), Place the
shade (G) onto shade holder (F) and matching the screw
(I), turn wing nut (H) onto screw (I) clockwise to tighten.

7. Unscrew the socket ring (L) counter-clockwise from
the socket (J).

8. Place the shade (K) to the socket (J) and turn the
socket ring (L) clockwise to tighten.

9. Install (2) 150W maximum type A bulbs or CFL
equivalent (bulbs not included) in uplight. Install (1)
60W maximum type A bulb or CFL equivalent in reading
light (bulb not included).

PRODUCT MAINTENANCE:

1. To clean simply wipe with a soft dry cloth.

2. Do not use any cleaners with chemicals, solvents or
harsh abrasives.

LIMITED WARRANTY

The manufacturer warrants this portable luminaire to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year
from date of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original
consumer purchaser and only to products used in normal use and

service. If this product is found to be defective, the manufacturer‟s

only obligation, and your exclusive remedy, is the repair or

replacement of the product at the manufacturer‟s discretion,

provided that the product has not been damaged through misuse,
abuse, accident, modifications, alterations, neglect or mishandling.
This warranty shall not apply to any product that is found to have
been improperly installed, setup, or used in any way not in
accordance with the instruction supplied with the product. This
warranty shall not apply to a failure of the product as a result of an
accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, alteration, or faulty
installation, or any other failure not relating to faulty material or
workmanship. This warranty shall not apply to the finish on any
portion of the product, such as surface and/or weathering, as this is
considered normal wear and tear. The manufacturer does not

warrant and specially disclaims any warranty, whether express
or implied, of fitness for a particular purpose, other than the
warranty contained herein. The manufacturer specifically
disclaims any liability and shall not be liable for any
consequential or incidental loss or damage, including but not
limited to any labor / expense costs involved in the replacement
or repair of said product.
