OPERATION
1. BATTERY INSTALLATION
This multi-function digital laser level uses
two “AAA” alkaline batteries to power
both the LCD module display and the
laser dot.
a. Open the battery cover, located in
the middle of the back of the level.
b. Insert two new “AAA” alkaline
batteries with the polarity (+/-)
as indicated on the inside of the
battery compartment.
c. Replace the cover and close it
securely.
NOTE:
• Always turn off the tool before installing or replacing the batteries.
• Remove the batteries from the tool when not using it for extended periods.
• The 2 AAA batteries should match each other in brand and type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Remove depleted batteries immediately, and dispose of them according to the laws and
regulations governing your community.
2. TO TURN THE DIGITAL LASER LEVEL
ON AND OFF
a. Press the power button to turn
the digital laser level on. When
the screen rst comes on, the
temperature is displayed in
Fahrenheit for about 2 seconds,
to indicate whether level is being
used in the optimum operating
temperature range.
b. The current angle of the digital
level is then displayed, and a slope
line of that angle is shown either
above or below the line for true level. An arrow on the display indicates whether the
digital laser level has to be moved up or down to be level. True level is reached when
the two lines are together and the angle shows 0.00°.
c. To turn off the digital laser level, press and hold the button for about 2 seconds.

OPERATION
NOTE:
• If not used for 5 minutes the digital laser level automatically turns off.
• The LCD display is large and easy to read. When the digital laser level is turned upside
down, the LCD screen senses this and changes to read correctly in the inverted position.
3. CALIBRATE THE DIGITAL LASER LEVEL
NOTE: The digital laser level has been pre-calibrated to operate in high-accuracy-display
mode. The high accuracy display (the digital reading displays two decimal places) is only
available when the unit is set to degree or % and the gradient is within 1º. If the gradient
exceeds 1º, the LCD display will revert to regular accuracy display (the digital reading
displays one decimal place). Signicant temperature changes can cause the digital laser
level to revert to regular accuracy display. We suggest calibrating the digital laser level
every time before you use it.
To ensure an accurate measurement, the calibration should be performed separately for
horizontal measurement and plumb (vertical) measurement.
a. Place the digital laser level on a at and smooth surface. Press and hold the REF
button for about 3 seconds. The calibration mode is activated. “CAL1” will blink on
the LCD display.
b. Keep the level motionless for a few seconds, until the beeper sounds for 1 second,
then “CAL2” will show on the LCD screen.
c. Rotate the digital level 180º in the same location. Press the REF button. “CAL2” will
blink on the LCD display.
d. Keep the level motionless for a few seconds, until the beeper sounds for 2 seconds
to indicate that calibration is complete. The LCD display will show the current angle
in the LCD display.

NOTE:
• Calibration must be performed on a at and smooth surface with the gradient no more
than 5º. If it exceeds 5º, the beeper will sound for 3 seconds, and “Err” will show on the
LCD display to indicate that the calibration failed, and calibration will stop automatically.
• If, during calibration, the digital laser level is moved, “Err” will show on the LCD screen,
with no sound.
• After CAL2 shows on the LCD, the digital laser level should be rotated 180° to start
CAL2. If the digital laser level is not moved prior to starting CAL2, the digital display will
incorrectly identify the current working surface as 0°. Re-calibrate the digital laser level,
and it will recover to normal function.
4. ABSOLUTE ANGLE MEASUREMENT
Unlike common levels, this digital laser
level allows you to make 360° angle
measurements with superior accuracy.
a. Press the power button to turn
on the digital laser level. Lay the
digital laser level on a working
surface with the base at against
the surface. The display indicates
the absolute angle between the
working surface and true level.
The zero line indicates the true
level position, and the slope line
indicates the direction of the
working surface either above or below true level.
b. To level the working surface, move the surface with the level on it until the two lines
on the readout match and the readout is 0.00° for the angle.
c. To plumb the working surface, move the surface with the level on it until the two
lines on the readout match and the readout is 90.00° for the angle.
d. Using the bubble vials you can also level or plumb the working surface when the
bubbles are exactly in between the marks on the vial.
NOTE: If the beeper is activated, the digital level will sound at 0°, 45°, 90° or the most
recently stored value.

OPERATION
5. RELATIVE ANGLE MEASUREMENT
Use the relative angle measurement to measure the angle difference between two working
surfaces.
a. Lay the digital laser level on the rst working surface.
b. Turn on the digital laser level. The LCD screen indicates the absolute angle between
true level and the working surface.
c. Press the REF button to enter the relative angle measurement mode. The current
angle will be set to be 0.0°.
d. Place the digital laser level on the second working surface and the relative angle
between the rst working surface and the second working surface will be displayed.
The zero line indicates the rst working surface position, and the slope line indicates
the direction of the second working surface either above or below the rst working
surface level.
NOTE: If the beeper is activated when working with a changed angle reference value,
the digital laser level will sound at the new reference value 0°, 45°, and 90° or the most
recently stored value.
6. UNIT CONVERSION
The UNIT button allows the desired unit of measurement to be selected: degrees (°), pitch
(IN/FT) or slope percent (%).
Pitch readings are in 1/8 in. per foot increments. Plus and minus signs indicate when the
pitch is slightly more (+) or less (-) than the level shown on the display.
The conversion button can be used while the display is in the MR mode. This feature is a
convenient way to convert angles from one unit to another. For example, a 5 in./ft. roof pitch
measurement can be converted to 22.6° for setting up cuts on a chop saw.
7. CURRENT READING MEMORY AND MEMORY RECALL
a. To save the current reading, press the M button. The digital laser level can save nine
different readings in its memory. If more than nine results are saved, the oldest ones
will be overwritten.
b. To display the measurements, press the MR button. The last nine measurements will
be displayed, beginning with the most recently saved.
c. To make a new measurement, press the M button to return to measuring mode.

OPERATION
8. LASER DOT ALIGNMENT
This digital laser level contains a laser diode located inside the left endcap.
WARNING: When turning on the self-leveling cross laser, always be aware of
protecting your eyes and the eyes of those around you.
a. To activate the laser, press in the laser ON/OFF button located on the right endcap
of the digital laser level. The working range will extend up to 300 feet away to
enable you to level large areas (This range is only applicable at night or in a dark
environment).
NOTE:
• The center of the laser beam is 1-3/16 inch above the bottom (working) surface of
the digital laser level. Remember to account for this when doing layouts and taking
measurements.
• The dot size and shape may change slightly with distance, temperature or target surface
material. The point to use is the center of the dot pattern.
b. The digital laser level can also be mounted on a standard 1/4 inch tripod (not in-
cluded) to project a series of laser dots on walls. This feature is perfect for home
improvement projects such as aligning pictures, chair rails and other wall xtures,
plumbing runs, and many other uses.

MAINTENANCE
All maintenance should only be carried out by an authorized service organization.
This digital laser level has been designed to be a low-maintenance tool. However, in order
to maintain its performance, follow these steps.
a. HANDLE the tool with care. Treat it as a precision optical device, such as a camera
or binoculars.
b. AVOID exposing the tool to shock, continuous vibration or extreme hot or cold tem-
peratures.
c. STORE the tool indoors and in a safe place.
d. The Level is designed to be weather resistant and construction site tough. If the level
is splashed with mortar or other construction site residue, simply wipe clean with a
dry cloth. DO NOT immerse the level in water.
e. Aluminum surfaces can be cleaned with a non-abrasive powder.
f. Check the batteries regularly to avoid corrosion. REMOVE the batteries from the tool
if it is not going to be used for an extended period.
g. DO NOT try to take the level apart.

OPERACIÓN
1. INSTALACIÓN DE LAS BATERÍAS
Este nivel láser digital de múltiples
funciones usa dos baterías alcalinas
AAA para alimentar la pantalla LCD del
módulo y el láser.
a. Abra la tapa del compartimento,
que se encuentra en la parte
central posterior del nivel.
b. Coloque dos baterías alcalinas
AAA nuevas según la polaridad
(+/-) indicada en la parte interior
del compartimento de las baterías.
c. Coloque la tapa y ciérrela bien.
NOTA:
• Apague siempre la herramienta antes de instalar o reemplazar las baterías.
• Retire las baterías de la herramienta cuando no vaya a usarla durante un período prolongado.
• La marca y el tipo de las 2 baterías AAA deben coincidir entre sí.
• No mezcle baterías viejas con nuevas.
• Retire las baterías agotadas de inmediato y deséchelas acorde a las leyes y normas vigentes
en su comunidad.
2. PARA ENCENDER Y APAGAR EL
NIVEL LÁSER DIGITAL
a. Presione el botón de encendido
para encender el nivel láser
digital. Al encenderse la pantalla
por primera vez, la temperatura
se muestra en grados Fahrenheit
durante 2 segundos para indicar si
el nivel se está usando dentro del
rango de temperatura óptima de
funcionamiento.
b. Después se muestra el ángulo
actual del nivel digital, y aparece
una línea de inclinación de ese
ángulo, ya sea arriba o debajo de la línea del nivel real. Una echa en la pantalla
indica si tiene que mover el nivel láser digital hacia arriba o abajo para estar
nivelado. El nivel verdadero se alcanza cuando las dos líneas están juntas y el
ángulo muestra 0,00°.

c. Para apagar el nivel láser digital, mantenga presionado el botón de encendido
durante 2 segundos.
NOTA:
• Si no usa el nivel láser digital durante 5 minutos, se apagará de forma automática.
• La pantalla LCD es grande y fácil de leer. Cuando invierte el nivel láser digital, la pantalla
LCD lo percibe y cambia para leer correctamente la posición invertida.
3. CALIBRACIÓN DEL NIVEL LÁSER DIGITAL
NOTA: El nivel láser digital está precalibrado para funcionar en modo de visualización en
alta precisión. La visualización en alta precisión (la lectura digital muestra dos decimales)
está disponible solo cuando la unidad se dene en grados o % y el gradiente está dentro de
1º. Si el gradiente es mayor que 1°, la pantalla LCD volverá a la visualización de precisión
normal (la lectura digital muestra un decimal). Los grandes cambios de temperatura
pueden provocar que el nivel láser digital vuelva a la visualización de precisión normal.
Recomendamos calibrar el nivel láser digital cada vez antes de usarlo.
Para asegurar una medición exacta, la calibración debe realizarse por separado de la
medida del nivel (horizontal) y la medida de plomada (vertical).
a. Coloque el nivel láser digital sobre una supercie plana y lisa. Mantenga presionado
el botón REF durante 3 segundos aproximadamente. Se activa el modo de
calibración. “CAL1” titilará en la pantalla de LCD.
b. Mantenga el nivel inmóvil durante algunos segundos, hasta que suene por 1
segundo; a continuación, aparecerá “CAL2” en la pantalla LCD.
c. Gire el nivel digital 180º en la misma ubicación. Presione el botón REF. “CAL2”
titilará en la pantalla LCD.
d. Mantenga el nivel inmóvil durante algunos segundos hasta que suene por 2
segundos para indicar que la calibración está completa. La pantalla LCD mostrará el
ángulo actual.

NOTA:
• La calibración debe realizarse sobre una supercie plana y lisa con el gradiente a no más
de 5°. Si supera los 5°, sonará durante 3 segundos y aparecerá “Err”en la pantalla LCD
para indicar un error en la calibración, que se detendrá de forma automática.
• Si durante la calibración mueve el nivel láser digital, aparecerá “Err” en la pantalla LCD,
pero no se emitirá ningún sonido.
• Después de que aparezca CAL2 en la pantalla LCD, deberá girar el nivel láser digital
180° para comenzar CAL2. Si no mueve el nivel láser digital antes de que comience
CAL2, la pantalla digital identicará de forma incorrecta la supercie de trabajo actual
como 0°. Vuelva a calibrar el nivel láser digital y recuperará su funcionamiento normal.
4. MEDICIÓN DEL ÁNGULO ABSOLUTO
La mayor ventaja máxima de este nivel
láser digital es la medición de ángulos de
360° con respecto a los niveles comunes,
y la precisión de la pantalla digital es
de hasta 0,05° en la posición de nivel o
plomada.
a. Presione el botón de encendido
para encender el nivel láser digital.
Coloque la base del nivel láser
digital sobre una superficie de
trabajo plana. La pantalla indica el
ángulo absoluto entre la supercie
de trabajo y el nivel verdadero. La
línea cero indica la posición del nivel verdadero, y la línea de inclinación indica la
dirección de la supercie de trabajo, ya sea arriba o abajo del nivel verdadero.
b. Para nivelar la supercie de trabajo, mueva la supercie con el nivel sobre ella hasta
que las dos líneas en la lectura concuerden y la lectura del ángulo sea 0,00°.
c. Para aplomar la superficie de trabajo, mueva la superficie con el nivel sobre ella
hasta que las dos líneas en la lectura concuerden y la lectura del ángulo sea 90,00°.
d. Con las ampollas de burbuja también puede nivelar o aplomar la superficie de
trabajo cuando las burbujas estén exactamente entre las marcas de las ampollas.
NOTA: Si el sonido está activado, el nivel digital sonará a los 0°, 45°, 90° o en el último
valor almacenado.

OPERACIÓN
5. MEDICIÓN DEL ÁNGULO RELATIVO
Use la medición del ángulo relativo para medir la diferencia del ángulo entre las dos
supercies de trabajo.
a. Coloque el nivel láser digital en la primera supercie de trabajo.
b. Encienda el nivel láser digital. La pantalla LCD indica el ángulo absoluto entre el
nivel verdadero y la supercie de trabajo.
c. Presione el botón REF para jar el modo de medición del ángulo relativo. El ángulo
actual se establecerá en 0,0°.
d. Coloque el nivel láser digital en la segunda superficie de trabajo, y aparecerá el
ángulo relativo entre la primera y la segunda superficie de trabajo. La línea cero
indica la posición de la primera supercie de trabajo, y la línea de inclinación indica
la dirección de la segunda supercie de trabajo, ya sea arriba o abajo del nivel de la
primera supercie de trabajo.
NOTA: Si activa el sonido mientras trabaja con un valor de referencia del ángulo cambiado,
el nivel láser digital sonará en el nuevo valor de referencia de 0°, 45° y 90° o el último valor
almacenado.
6. CONVERSIÓN DE UNIDADES
El botón UNIT permite elegir la unidad de medida deseada: grados (°), inclinación (IN/FT) o
porcentaje de inclinación (%).
Las lecturas de inclinación se muestran en incrementos de 1/8 pulg. por pie. Los signos de
más y menos indican si la inclinación es un poco más (+) o menos (-) que el nivel que se
muestra en la pantalla.
El botón de conversión puede usarse mientras la pantalla esté en modo MR. Esta función
es una forma conveniente de convertir los ángulos de una unidad a otra. Por ejemplo, una
medición de inclinación del techo de 5 pulg./pie puede convertirse a 22,6° para hacer
cortes con una sierra.
7. MEMORIA DE LECTURA ACTUAL Y RECUPERACIÓN DE MEMORIA
a. Para guardar la lectura actual, presione el botón M. El nivel láser digital puede
guardar nueve lecturas diferentes en la memoria. Si guarda más de nueve
resultados, se sobrescribirán los más antiguos.
b. Para mostrar las mediciones, presione el botón MR. Se mostrarán las últimas nueve
mediciones a partir de la más reciente.
c. Para hacer una nueva medición, presione el botón M para regresar al modo de
medición.

8. ALINEACIÓN DEL PUNTO LÁSER
Este nivel láser digital contiene un diodo láser ubicado en el interior de la tapa izquierda.
ADVERTENCIA: Cuando encienda el láser autonivelante, siempre proteja la vista
propia y la de los demás.
a. Para activar el láser, presione el botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO ubicado en la tapa
derecha del nivel láser digital. El rango de trabajo se extenderá hasta 300 pies de
distancia para que pueda nivelar grandes áreas. (Este rango solo es posible a la
noche o en un ambiente oscuro).
NOTA:
• El centro del rayo láser es de 1-3/16 pulg. por encima de la supercie (de trabajo) inferior
del nivel láser digital. Recuerde tener en cuenta esto cuando haga diseños y mediciones.
• El tamaño y la forma del punto pueden cambiar ligeramente con la distancia, la
temperatura o el material de supercie objetivo. El lugar que debe usar es el centro del
patrón del punto.
b. El nivel láser digital también puede montarse en un trípode estándar de 1/4 pulg. (no
se incluye) para proyectar una serie de puntos láser en las paredes. Esta función es
perfecta para los proyectos de mejoras en el hogar, como la alineación de cuadros,
frisos para sillas y otros accesorios para pared, tuberías y otros muchos usos.
MANTENIMIENTO
Solo una organización de servicio autorizada debe realizar cualquier mantenimiento.
Este nivel láser digital se diseñó para ser una herramienta de bajo mantenimiento. Sin
embargo, para mantener su rendimiento, siga estos pasos.
a. MANIPULE la herramienta con cuidado. Trátela como un dispositivo de precisión
óptico, tales como una cámara o binoculares.
b. EVITE exponer la herramienta a descargas, vibración continua o temperaturas de
calor o frío extremo.
b. GUARDE la herramienta en interiores y en un lugar seguro.
d. El nivel se diseñó para resistir a la intemperie y trabajos pesados en sitios de
construcción. Si el nivel se salpica con algún residuo de construcción o mortero,
simplemente límpielo con un paño seco. NO sumerja el nivelador en agua.
e. Las supercies de aluminio pueden limpiarse con un polvo no abrasivo.
f. Revise las baterías de forma periódica para evitar la corrosión. RETIRE las baterías
de la herramienta si no va a usarla durante un período prolongado.
g. NO intente desarmar el nivelador.

Se garantiza al comprador original que este láser compacto autonivelante de líneas cruzadas
está libre de defectos en los materiales y la mano de obra. Si cree que la herramienta
tiene algún defecto en cualquier momento durante el período de garantía especicado,
simplemente llame a Ayuda al cliente de HAMMERHEAD al 1-877-888-1880 para hablar
con un agente de Servicio al Cliente. Esta garantía no cubre: (1) Falla de las piezas debido al
