How to Use

Turn CO2 release knob counter­clockwise (when viewed from above) to unlock the cartridge door. Press door to open.

Insert CO2 cartridge with the narrow end pointing down. Swing door closed and press to ensure it is latched.

NOTE: Only use SodaStation™ Hamilton Beach bottles. Never carbonate if bottle is empty, not filled to the MIN Fill Level, or not fully attached.

Place carbonating unit onto bottle and turn clockwise until it clicks into place. CAUTION! Carbonating unit may project off bottle if not fully rotated and locked in place.

Turn carbonation adjustment dial clockwise for more carbonation and counterclockwise for less carbonation.
Turn CO clockwise until it stops to release gas into the bottle. If no CO2 gas is discharged into the bottle (if no bubbles appear), press the pressure release button to relieve any trapped pressure in the carbonating unit. DO NOT attempt to remove the carbonating unit from the bottle. Contact Hamilton Beach for repair or replacement.

FOR SODA: Add 2 Tablespoons (1 oz.) syrup to bottle of carbonated water to MIN Fill Level or about 2 teaspoons to an 8 oz. glass of carbonated water; stir before drinking. Adjust syrup amounts to your taste.

Wait 10 seconds for CO2 to mix with water.
Optional: For more carbonation, shake up and down about 10 seconds before releasing pressure. Keep bottle and unit upright while shaking.

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
No carbonation.
Slight carbonation.
Too carbonated.
Bottle is locked after carbonation.
Carbonating unit door will not open.
PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
• Check if CO
• Cartridge is too cold. Wait until cartridge reaches room temperature.
• Water is too warm. Use 33° to 42°F (0.5° to 5.5°C) filtered or bottled water.
• Carbonating unit allowed to remain on bottle too long after charging. Press the pressure release button. Remove promptly after charging in the future.
• Clogged nozzle. Press the pressure release button. DO NOT attempt to remove the carbonating unit from the bottle. Contact Hamilton Beach for repair or replacement.
• Fill water to appropriate fill level. Do not fill above MAX Fill Level for soda.
• CO
2 is not mixed well with water. Allow 10 seconds after CO2 is released into water to complete mixing.
• Use very cold (33° to 42°F [0.5° to 5.5°C]) refrigerated water.
• Shake well after carbonating.
• Carbonation adjustment dial is not set in the correct position. Adjust carbonation adjustment dial counterclockwise.
• Too little water. Fill water to bottle markings up to MAX Fill Level.
• This is normal. Release pressure by pushing on pressure release button on top of carbonating unit.
• Pressure was not released. Press the pressure release button to relieve pressure; then rotate CO knob counterclockwise to unlock the cartridge safety lock. Lightly press door to open.
2 cartridge has been used. Use a brand new cartridge.

Limited Warranty
This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the rating label (e.g., 120V ~ 60 Hz).
We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages caused by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price. Every implied warranty, including any statutory warranty or condition
of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is disclaimed except to the extent prohibited by law, in which case such warranty or condition is limited to the duration of this written warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have
other legal rights that vary depending on where you live. Some states or provinces do not allow limitations on implied warranties or special, incidental, or consequential damages, so the foregoing limitations may not apply to you.
