IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

13. Always attach plug to appliance first; then plug cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to OFF (O) and then remove plug from wall outlet.
14. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

16. Be sure that handles/feet are assembled and fastened properly. See instructions for assembly of handles/feet on page 5.

How to Assemble
Assembly of handle/feet to base is required. See below.

Tools Required: Phillips-head screwdriver. Do NOT overtighten. NOTE: Screws and washers may be partially screwed into base for shipping purposes. Remove them to assemble handle/feet to base.
After assembly the handles/feet should feel secure. If the handles/feet are loose, or the unit rocks when on a flat surface, the handles are not installed properly. Loosen the screws and realign handles; then retighten as shown. Periodically check screws and retighten as necessary.

How to Use
w WARNING
• To reduce the risk of burns, do not carry or move the skillet when it contains hot oil or food.
• To reduce the risk of burns due to oil splatter, do not put a large amount of oil in a hot skillet. When frying, pour oil in skillet and then preheat unit.

Always use skillet on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface.

Plug the temperature control into the skillet.

Heat may be increased or decreased, depending upon your recipe.

Set temperature control dial to OFF (O); then plug into outlet.

When finished cooking, remove food, turn temperature control to OFF (O), and unplug.

Preheat skillet uncovered until desired temperature is reached. The indicator light on the temperature control goes out.
NOTES:
• Only use wooden or plastic cooking utensils to prolong the life of the nonstick coating.
• Never use the skillet and the lid in the oven or microwave oven, or on the range top.
Care and Cleaning
w WARNING
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or temperature control in water or any other liquid.

When finished cooking, turn temperature control to OFF (O); unplug and remove. Let skillet cool completely.

Wipe the temperature control and cord with a damp cloth and then wipe dry.

Wash lid and skillet in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
This skillet and lid can be washed in the dishwasher. DO NOT use the “SANI” setting. “SANI” cycle temperatures could damage your product.

Recipes
Easy Skillet Lasagna
Ingredients:
2 large eggs 2 containers (15 ounces
[425 g] each) ricotta cheese
1/ 2 cup (118 ml) grated Parmesan
cheese
1 tablespoon (15 ml) Italian
seasoning
1/ 2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) coarse
pepper
Directions:
1. Heat the electric skillet to 350°F (177°C).
2. In a large bowl, beat eggs until yellow in color, about 1 minute. Stir in ricotta, Parmesan and Italian seasoning until well blended. Set aside.
3. In the skillet, add sausage and beef. Cook and stir until sausage and beef are cooked through, about 7 minutes. Remove mixture to a bowl.
4. Add onion and garlic to skillet. Cook until tender, about 3 minutes. Return meat mixture to skillet and add marinara sauce. Bring to a boil.
5. Remove 4 cups of sauce mixture to a bowl. Reduce temperature to 300°F (147°C).
6. Layer 6 noodles across bottom of skillet, overlapping or breaking to fit. Spread 1 cup (237 ml) of the sauce over noodles. Spread 1 cup (237 ml) of the ricotta mixture over sauce and sprinkle with 1 cup (237 ml) mozzarella. Repeat layers 2 more times. Top with remaining noodles, sauce and mozzarella cheese.
7. Cover and cook 45 minutes, or until heated through and cheese is melted.
Serves: 12 to 16

Skillet Caramel Apple French Toast
Ingredients:
2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced 12 large eggs 3 cups (710 ml) milk 2 teaspoons (10 ml) vanilla extract 2 packages (16 ounces [454 g] each) cinnamon bread, cut or torn into 2-inch
(5.1 cm) pieces 1/4 cup (59 ml) butter Caramel topping, warmed
Directions:
1. Heat the electric skillet to 300°F (147°C).
2. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add milk and vanilla extract. Stir until well
blended.
3. Add bread to egg mixture, tossing until bread is completely coated with egg
mixture.
4. Add butter to skillet. Place apples slices evenly across the bottom of the
skillet.
5. Spread bread mixture evenly over the apples.
6. Cover and cook for 30 minutes. Remove lid. Cook an additional 15 minutes,
or until mixture is cooked through.
7. Serve immediately with warm caramel topping. Serves: 12 to 16

This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase in Canada and one (1) year from the date of original purchase in the U.S. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the rating label (e.g., 120V ~ 60 Hz).
