3. Safety Notes

• The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.

• Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.

• Keep this product, as all electrical products, out of the reach of children!

• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.

• Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specications.

• Do not use the product in areas wherethe use of electronic devices is not permitted.

• Be considerate. Loud volumes can have adetrimental effect on your surroundings.

• Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.

• Since the battery is integrated and cannot be removed, you will need to dispose of the product as awhole. Do this in compliance with the legal requirements.

• Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children due to the risk of suffocation.

• Dispose of packaging material immediately according to locally applicable regulations.

• Do not modify the product in any way.Doing so voids the warranty.

4. Getting Started and Operation

Note –splash proof

• This product is splash proof on all sides as dened in IPX5, meaning that it is ideal for use outdoors or in bathrooms, kitchens, etc.

• This protection only works when the connection cover (2) is closed. If acable (audio, USB) is connected or the connection cover (2) is not closed properly,splash protection cannot be guaranteed and the device could be damaged.

• Do not use the product in heavy rain, under water, in the shower or for water sports, etc.

4.1 Switching the product on and off

• Press and hold the function button (1) for about 2 seconds to switch the speaker on or off.

• An acoustic signal sounds and the status LED (7) starts ashing.

4.2 Charging the battery

Warning –Rechargeable battery

• Only use suitable charging devices with USB connections for char

ging.

• As arule, do not use charging devices or USB connections that aredefective and do not try to repair them yourself.

• Avoid storing, charging or using batteries in extreme temperatures.

• When stored for along period of time, batteries should be charged regularly (at least every three months).

Warning

• Do not charge the product using the USB connection on your PC/laptop. This can cause damage to the USB connection.

• Charge the speaker fully beforeusing it for the rst time.

• Connect the included Micro-USB charging cable to the speaker’sMicro-USB port (2).

• Connect the unused connector on the Micro-USB charging cable to asuitable USB charger.Please refer to the operating instructions for the USB charger used.

• The status LED (1) lights up constantly in redduring the charging process.

• If the battery is fully charged, the status LED (1) will go out.

• It takes approx. 6hours to completely charge the product.

• The speaker’sbattery can be charged whether the speaker is on or off.

• If the battery capacity is less than 10%, the speaker willemit two acoustic signals. Youwill only receive this information if the speaker is on.

• The actual battery life varies depending on use of the device, the settings and the ambient conditions (rechargeable batteries have alimited service life).

4.5 Audio playback (via

Bluetooth

Start and control audio playback on the connected terminal device accordingly.Alternatively,audio playback can also be controlled on the speaker (if the connected device supports this function).

4.6 Hands-free function

Youcan use the speaker as ahands-free set for your mobile phone. Forthis function, the mobile phone must be connected to the speaker via

To increase the callquality,make surethat you are near the speaker with your mobile phone during the call.

5. Operation –NFC connection

Note

• To be able to connect your terminal device to the speaker using NFC, your terminal device must be compatible with NFC technology.For moreinformation, please refer to the operating instructions of your terminal device.

• Note that the presence of mobile phone cases, covers or other materials between the speaker and the back of your terminal device can interferewith connection or even prevent it.

• Note that NFC has ashort transmission range of about 10 cm.

• Switch on the speaker as described in

• Make surethat the NFC function on your terminal device is turned on and the terminal device is not in lock mode (lock screen).

• Hold your terminal device in front of the NFC connection area (8), marked by the NFC symbol on the speaker’sdevice label.

• Place the connected terminal device next to the speaker.

6. Charging terminal devices via USB Type-A

connection

• Connect the USB cable of the terminal device you wish to charge (mobile phone, smartphone, etc.) to the USB Type-Acharging socket (2) of the Hama Gentleman-L.

• Charging starts automatically as soon as you have connected your terminal device to the USB Type-A charging socket of the Hama Gentleman-L.

• End the charging process by disconnecting the USB cable of your terminal device from the Hama Gentleman-L.

4.1 Switching

Warning –Connecting terminal devices

• Beforeconnecting aterminal device, check whether the power output of the Hama Gentleman-L can supply sucient power for the device.

• Ensurethat the total power consumption of all connected terminal devices does not exceed 1000mA.

• Please refer to the instructions in the operating manual of your terminal device.

• It is essential that you observe these specications and the safety instructions regarding the power supply of your devices.

7. Care and Maintenance

•Only clean this product with aslightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.

4. Inbetriebnahme und Betrieb

Hinweis –Spritzwassergeschützt

• Dieses Produkt ist gemäß IPX5 gegen allseitiges Spritzwasser geschützt und eignet sich somit auch für den Einsatz im Freien, Badezimmer,Küche, etc.

• Der Schutz ist nur bei geschlossener Anschlussabdeckung (2) gegeben. Sobald ein Kabel (Audio, USB) angeschlossen oder die Anschlussabdeckung (2) nicht sauber geschlossen ist, ist ein Spritzwasserschutz nicht gewährleistet und das Gerät kann beschädigt werden.

• Verwenden Sie das Produkt nicht bei starkem Regen, unter Wasser,unter der Dusche, bei Wassersportarten, usw.

4.1 Ein-/ Ausschalten

• Drücken und halten Sie die Funktionstaste (1) ca. 2 Sekunden, um den Lautsprecher ein-/ auszuschalten.

• Es ertönt ein akustisches Signal und die Status-LED (7) beginnt zu blinken.

Hinweis –Automatisches Ausschalten

Beachten Sie, dass sich der Lautsprecher nach 10 Minuten ohne Aktion (keine Audiowiedergabe/ keine

Bluetooth

Funktion) abschaltet.

4.2 Aufladen des Akkus

Warnung -Akku

• Verwenden Sie nur geeignete Ladegeräte mit USB Anschlüssen zum Auaden.

• Verwenden Sie defekte Ladegeräte oder USB Anschlüsse generell nicht mehr und versuchen Sie nicht, diese zu reparieren.

• Vermeiden Sie Lagerung, Laden und Benutzung bei extremen Temperaturen.

• Laden Sie bei längerer Lagerung regelmäßig (mind. vierteljährig) nach.

Warnung

• Laden Sie das Produkt nicht am USB-Anschluss Ihres PCs/Laptops. Dies kann zu Schäden am USBAnschluss führen.

• Laden Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch den Lautsprecher einmal vollständig auf.

• Schließen Sie das mitgelieferte Micro-USB Ladekabel am Micro-USB Anschluss (2) des Lautsprechers an.

• Schließen Sie den freien Stecker des Micro-USB Ladekabels an einem geeigneten USB Ladegerät an. Beachten Sie hierzu die Bedienungsanleitung des verwendeten USB Ladegeräts.

• Die Status-LED (1) leuchtet während des Ladevorgangs dauerhaft rot.

• Ist der Akku vollständig geladen, erlischt die StatusLED (1).

Hinweis –Ladevorgang

• Ein kompletter Ladevorgang dauert ca. 6Stunden.

• Der Akku des Lautsprechers kann sowohl in

ein- als auch ausgeschaltetem Zustand geladen wer

den.

• Beträgt die Akkukapazität weniger als 10%, ertönt ein 2-faches Tonsignal. Diese Information erhalten Sie nur bei eingeschaltetem Lautsprecher.

• Die tatsächliche Akkulaufzeit variiert je nach Nutzung des Gerätes, den Einstellungen und Umgebungsbedingungen (Akkus haben eine begrenzte Lebensdauer).

4.5 Audiowiedergabe (via

Starten und steuern Sie die Audiowiedergabe entsprechend auf dem verbundenen Endgerät. Alternativ lässt sich die Audiowiedergabe auch vom Lautsprecher aus steuern (sofern vom verbundenen Gerät unterstützt).

• Drücken Sie die Funktionstaste ►

(4), um die Audio-

Wiedergabe zu starten oder anzuhalten.

• Drücken Sie kurz die Funktionstaste +(5), um zum nächsten Titel zu springen.

• Drücken Sie kurz die Funktionstaste –(3), um zum vorherigen Titel zu springen.

• Drücken Sie lang die Funktionstaste +(5), um die Lautstärke zu erhöhen.

• Drücken Sie lang die Funktionstaste –(3), um die Lautstärke zu reduzieren.

4.6 Freisprechfunktion

Es besteht die Möglichkeit, den Lautsprecher wie eine Freisprecheinrichtung für Ihr Mobiltelefon zu verwenden. Das Mobiltelefon muss für diese Funktion über

Hinweis –Gesprächsqualität

• Achten Sie darauf,dass Sie sich mit Ihrem Mobiltelefon während eines Anrufs in der Nähe des Lautsprechers benden, um die Gesprächsqualität zu erhöhen.

5. Betrieb NFC Verbindung

Hinweis

• Um Ihr Endgerät über NFC mit dem Lautsprecher

verbinden zu können, muss dies kompatibel mit der NFC Technologie sein. Beachten Sie hierzu die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Endgerätes.

• Beachten Sie, dass Handytaschen, Cover,etc. und

sonstige Materialien zwischen dem Lautsprecher und der Rückseite Ihres Endgerätes den Verbindungsvorgang stören oder sogar verhindern.

• Beachten Sie, dass die Übertragungsreichweite der

NFC Technologie lediglich etwa 10cm beträgt.

• Schalten Sie den Lautsprecher –wie in

Ausschalten

• Stellen Sie sicher,dass die NFC Funktion Ihres Endgerätes eingeschaltet ist und dass sich das Endgerät nicht im Sperrmodus (Sperrbildschirm) bendet.

• Halten Sie ihr Endgerät vor den NFC Verbindungsbereich (8), markiert durch das NFCSymbol

• Legen Sie das verbundene Endgerät neben dem Lautsprecher ab.

6. Laden von Endgeräten via USB-Typ A

Anschluss

• Verbinden Sie das USB-Kabel des zu ladenden Endgerätes (Handy,Smartphone, etc.) mit der USB-Typ ALadebuchse (2) des Hama Gentleman-L.

• Der Ladevorgang startet automatisch, sobald Sie ihr Endgerät mit der USB-TypALadebuchse des Gentleman-L verbunden haben.

• Beenden Sie den Ladevorgang indem Sie das USB-Kabel ihres Endgerätes wieder vom Hama Gentleman-L trennen.

4. Mise en service et fonctionnement

• Ce produit est protégé contreles projections d’eau de toutes directions selon IPX5 et convient donc pour une utilisation en plein air,dans la salle de bains, dans la cuisine, etc...

• La protection est assurée uniquement lorsque la protection connecteur (2) est fermée. Lorsqu’un câble (audio, USB) est connecté ou que la protection connecteur (2) n’est pas correctement fermée, la protection contreles projections d’eau n’est pas garantie et l’appareil peut s’endommager.

• N’utilisez pas le produit sous une pluie battante, sous l’eau, sous la douche, lors d’activités sportives aquatiques, etc...

4.2 Charge de la batterie

• Un cycle de charge complet dureenviron 6heures.

4.3 Premièreconnexion

5. Fonctionnement avec la connexion NFC

• Pour pouvoir connecter votreappareil au haut-

• Veuillez noter que les housses de téléphones

portables, les étuis, etc. ainsi que d’autres objets situés entrelehaut-parleur et le dos de votre appareil sont susceptibles de perturber,voire empêcher la connexion.

• Veuillez noter que la portée de transmission de la

technologie NFC est de seulement 10 cm environ.

• Mettez le haut-parleur sous tension -comme décrit au paragraphe

• Assurez-vous que la fonction NFC de votreappareil est activée et que l’appareil n’est pas en mode de verrouillage (écran de verrouillage).

• Tenez votreappareil face àlazone de connexion NFC (8), marquée du symbole NFC haut-parleur.

• Placez l’appareil connecté àcôté du haut-parleur.

6. Charge d’appareils avec le port USB type-A

• Branchez le câble USB de l’appareil que vous souhaitez recharger (portable, smartphone, etc.) àla prise de charge USB type-A(2) de l’enceinte Hama Gentleman-L.

• La charge démarredès que vous branchez votre appareil àlaprise de charge USB type-Adel’enceinte Hama Gentleman-L.

• Vous pouvez interromprelacharge en débranchant le câble USB de votreappareil de l’enceinte Hama

4. Puesta en marcha yfuncionamiento

Nota –Protección contrasalpicaduras

• Este producto consta de protección integral contra salpicaduras conforme aIPX5, resultando así adecuado parasuempleo al airelibre, en baños, cocinas, etc.

• La protección solo se da con si la cubierta de conexiones (2) está cerrada. Si se conecta un cable (audio, USB) olacubierta de conexiones (2) no se cierracorrectamente, la protección contra salpicaduras deja de estar garantizada, pudiendo sufrir daños el dispositivo.

• No utilice el producto con lluvia fuerte, bajo el agua, en la ducha, en deportes acuáticos, etc.

4.2 Carga de la batería

• Utilice sólo cargadores adecuados con puertos USB paralacarga.

• No siga utilizando cargadores opuertos USB defectuosos ynointente repararlos.

• Evite el almacenar,lacarga yeluso en condiciones de temperaturaextrema.

• En caso de almacenamiento prolongado, cargue regularmente (mín. trimestralmente).

• Antes de utilizar por primeravez el altavoz, cárguelo por completo.

• Conecte el cable de carga microUSB suministrado al puerto microUSB (2) del altavoz.

• Conecte el conector libredel cable de carga microUSB auncargador USB adecuado. Para ello, tenga en cuenta las instrucciones de manejo del cargador USB utilizado.

• El LED de estado (1) luce de color rojo de manera continua durante el proceso de carga.

• Una vez cargada completamente la batería, el LED de estado (1) se apaga.

• Un proceso de carga completo duraaprox. 6 horas.

• La batería del altavoz puede cargarse estando éste tanto encendido como apagado.

5. Funcionamiento de conexión NFC

4. Включение ивыключение

•Защитагарантируется толькопри закрытой крышкесоединений (2). Если подключен кабель (аудио,USB) или крышка соединений (2) закрытанеплотно, защитаотбрызг не гарантируется ивозможно повреждение устройства.

• Запрещается эксплуатировать изделие во время сильногодождя, подводой, поддушем, а такжепри занятиях водными видами спорта и т. п.

4.2 Зарядка аккумулятора

• Не подвергайте аккумулятор воздействию экстремальных температур при хранении, зарядкеииспользовании.

Перед первым использованием необходимо один раз полностью зарядить громкоговоритель.

• Подключите кабель микро-USB (вкомплекте) к разъему микро-USB громкоговорителя (2).

• Подключите второй конец кабеля микро-USB кподходящему зарядному устройству USB. Соблюдайте инструкции по эксплуатации зарядногоустройства USB.

• Во время заряда непрерывно горит индикаторная лампа (1).

• Когдааккумулятор будет полностью заряжен, лампа индикации (1) погаснет.

• Для полной зарядки необходимо прим. 6 часов.

• Аккумулятор можно заряжать как при включенном, такипри выключенном динамике.
