3. Safety Notes
The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
Protect the product from dirt, moistureand overheating, and only
use it in adry environment.
Do not allow yourself to be distracted by the product, for example when driving avehicle or operating sports equipment. Always pay attention to the surrounding trac and your environment.

Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the
specications.
Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
Since the battery is integrated and cannot be removed, you will need to dispose of the product as awhole. Do this in compliance with the legal requirements.
Dispose of packaging material immediately according to locally applicable regulation.
Do not modify the product in any way.Doing so voids the warranty.
Warning –Rechargeable battery
Only use suitable charging devices or USB connections for charging.
As arule, do not charge devices or USB connections that are defective and do not try to repair them yourself.
Do not overcharge the product or allow the battery to completely discharge.
Avoid storing, charging or using batteries in extreme temperatures.
We suggest to fully charge the item for at least one time in two months
Warning –Loud volume
Using this product limits your perception of ambient noise. Forthis reason, do not operate any vehicles or machines while using this product.
Always keep the volume at areasonable level. Loud volumes, even over short periods, can cause hearing loss.
Warning –Magnets
This product generates magnetic elds. Persons with a pacemaker should consult adoctor beforeusing the product, as the pacemakers proper function could be affected.
Do not keep any bank cards or similar cards with magnetic strips near to the charging box or earphones. The data on the cards could be damaged or deleted.

4. Getting Started
Both earphones and the charging box areequipped with a rechargeable battery.The battery must be fully charged before using the device for the rst time.
Youcan charge the earphones directly using the charging box (docking station function), or charge the battery of the charging box. This allows you to charge the earphone batteries while on the go, without an external power supply (power pack function).
Note
Use only the supplied USB charging cable!
4.1 Charging the earphones
Ensurethat the earphones areswitched off beforecharging them.
Place both earphones in the charging box.
Start charging the earphones by pressing the on/off button (5) of
the charging box.
The status LEDs of the charging box (7) and earphones (3) arelit redwhile the earphones arecharging.
If charging does not start, the charge level of the charging box is too low.Charge the charging box as described in Section 4.2.
It takes about one hour to charge an earphone battery.
When the batteries of both earphones arefully charged, their
status LED (3) goes out and the status LED of the charging box (7) is constantly lit blue.
4.2 Charging the charging box
Begin charging by connecting the included USB charging cable to the charging socket (6) and to the USB connection of asuitable USB charger.
Please refer to the operating instructions for the USB charger used.
The status LED of the charging box (7) is constantly lit redduring
charging.
It can take up to two hours to fully charge the battery.
When the battery is fully charged, the status LED (7) of the
charging box is lit blue.
Disconnect allcable and mains connections after use.

Note
If the batteries of the earphones and the charging box areempty, the earphone batteries will be recharged rst. After that, the battery of the charging box will be charged (the status LEDs (3) of the earphones go out; the status LED (7) of the charging box continues to be lit red).
Acharging box battery that has been fully charged allows you to completely charge both earphones about three times.
5. Operation
5.1 Switching the earphones off/on
Turn On:
With the device off,press and hold the multifunction button (1) for three seconds until you hear avoice say ‘Power on’. The status LED (3) ashes blue.
Turn Off:
With the device on, press and hold the multifunction button (1) for four seconds until you hear avoice say ‘Power off’. The status LED (3) willlight up in redbeforethe device turns off.
The rst time the device is turned on, pairing is automatically started –see 5.2 Bluetooth
®
pairing –Headset.
5.2 Bluetooth®pairing –Headset
First the two earphones must connect to one another.
Ensurethat both earphones areswitched off.
Press and hold the multifunction button (1) of both earphones
for approximately ve seconds until the status LEDs (3) begin to alternate between ared and blue light.
The earphones pair with one another within about ten seconds and can then be connected to aterminal device.
If the two earphones cannot set up aconnection within two minutes, they will automatically switch off.
If pairing was successful, you will hear avoice say ‘Connected’.

Note
When the device is turned on, the earphones automatically connect to one another.
The left earphone is always the master.The right earphone is guided by the information of the master.
Therefore, when connecting the headset to terminal devices in futur
e, you mer
ely have to put the master into pairing mode. The
other earphone is automatically connected.
5.3 Bluetooth
®
pairing with terminal device
The earphones and the terminal device should be no further than one metreapart. The shorter the distance, the better.
Ensurethat both earphones areswitched on and paired with one another.
Note –Pairing
Make surethat your Bluetooth®-capable terminal device is on and Bluetooth®is activated.
Formoreinformation, please refer to the operating instructions of your terminal device.
Open the Bluetooth
®
settings on your terminal device and wait until
Hama Disc appears in the list of Bluetooth®devices found.
Select Hama Disc and wait until this headset is listed as connected in the Bluetooth
®
settings on your terminal device.
Note –Bluetooth®password
Some terminal devices requireapasswordinorder to connect to another Bluetooth®device.
If your terminal device requests apasswordtoestablish the connection, enter 0000.
Note –Displays/announcements
If pairing was successful, the status LEDs (3) ash blue every ve seconds.
If pairing with the terminal device was successful, you will hear a voice say ‘Pairing successful. Second device connected’.

In addition, avoice announces ‘connected left channel’ for the left earphone and ‘connected right channel’ for the right earphone.
5.4 Automatic Bluetooth
®

and Bluetooth®is activated.
Formoreinformation, please refer to the operating instructions of your terminal device.
Ensurethat the earphones areswitched on.
Youcan only switch on the master.The master will automatically
connect to the terminal device after successful pairing. If the other earphone is likewise switched on, it connects to the master and so is likewise automatically paired with the terminal device.
After the devices have been paired, aconnection is established automatically.
Youcan now use the headset.
Note
If pairing was successful, the status LEDs (3) ash blue every ve seconds.
It may be necessary to change the settings on your terminal device to enable it to automatically connect to the paired headset.
Note –Connection impaired
After the devices have been paired, aconnection is established automatically.Ifthe Bluetooth®connection is not established automatically,check the following:
Check the Bluetooth
®
settings of your terminal device to see whether it is connected to the Hama Disc headset. If not, repeat the steps listed in Section 5.3 Bluetooth
®
pairing with
terminal device.
Check whether obstacles areimpairing the range. If so, move the devices closer together.
The performance can also be affected by aweak battery.

5.5 Audio playback
Note

Functions can still be controlled directly via the terminal device.
Set the volume on your terminal device to alow level.
Start audio playback on the connected terminal device or press the
multifunction button (1) on one of the earphones.
Press the multifunction button (1) on one of the earphones once moretostop audio playback.
5.6 Hands-free function
Note
Note that support for certain key functions may vary depending on your terminal device.
Formoreinformation, please refer to the operating instructions of your terminal device.
Functions can still be controlled directly via the terminal device.
When you make and receive telephone calls, only the left
earphone is used for the transfer of sound; the same applies to control of the hands-free functions.
Making acall
Dial the number directly on your terminal device to make acall.
Accepting calls
Press the multifunction button (1) once to answer an incoming call.
Rejecting an incoming call
Briey press the multifunction button (1) twice in succession to reject an incoming call.
Ending acall
During acall, press the multifunction button (1) once to end the call.
Redial
Briey press the multifunction button (1) twice to call the last number.You will hear ashort beep.

Note –Call quality
To increase the call quality,make surethat you arenear your mobile phone during the call.
5.7 Disconnecting the headset
Switch off both earphones.
Disconnect the headset via the Bluetooth®settings on your terminal device.
5.8 Battery capacity
To save energy,the earphones automatically switch off if they are not connected to adevice for longer than ten minutes.
When the battery level is low,avoice says ‘Low battery,please charge’ and the status LED (3) ashes red.
Charge the earphones as described in Section 4. Getting started.
Note
However,the talk and standby times may vary when used with different mobile phones or other compatible Bluetooth
®
devices,
usage settings, usage styles and environments.
Note –Battery display
Each status LED of the battery display (8) corresponds to 25% of the capacity.When an LED is illuminated, this indicates that this capacity level has already been reached. If three LEDs are illuminated, the charging box is at least 75% charged.
Note –Battery display
If all four status LEDs light up, the fullcapacity is available.
Press the on/off button of the charging box (5) to switch it on
and to display its current capacity level.
6. Care and Maintenance
Only clean this product with aslightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Make surethat water does not get into the product.
