Vorwort

Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,
mit dem Kauf dieses kompakten Internet Radios haben Sie sich für

ein Qualitätsprodukt von Hama entschieden, welches hinsichtlich
Technik und Funktionalität dem modernsten Entwicklungsstandard
entspricht.

Das IR100 dient zur Wiedergabe von Musik vom PC, aus dem
Internet bzw. aus Netzwerken.

Lesen Sie die hier enthaltenen Informationen, damit Sie mit Ihrem
Gerät schnell vertraut werden und seine Funktionen in vollem Um­fang nutzen können.

Wir wünschen Ihnen viel Freude beim Gebrauch.

Informationen zu dieser Bedienungsanleitung

Diese Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil des Internet Radios IR100
(nachfolgend als Gerät bezeichnet) und gibt Ihnen wichtige Hinweise
für den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch, die Sicherheit, den
Anschluss sowie die Bedienung des Gerätes.

Die Bedienungsanleitung muss ständig in der Nähe des Gerätes
verfügbar sein. Sie ist von jeder Person zu lesen und anzuwenden,
die dieses Gerät bedient oder die Störungsbehebung am Gerät
durchführt.

Bewahren Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung auf und geben Sie diese
mit dem Gerät an Nachbesitzer weiter.

bestimmt.

Beim Kontakt mit unter Spannung stehenden Leitungen oder

Bauteilen besteht Lebensgefahr!

Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise, um eine Gefähr­dung durch elektrischen Strom zu vermeiden:

► Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Steckernetzteil, das

Anschlusskabel oder der Anschlussstecker beschädigt sind.

► Öffnen Sie auf keinen Fall das Gehäuse des Gerätes. Werden

spannungsführende Anschlüsse berührt und der elektrische und
mechanische Aufbau verändert, besteht Stromschlaggefahr.

Umgang mit Batterien

WARNUNG

Gefahr durch nicht ordnungsgemäße Verwendung!

Für den sicheren Umgang mit Batterien beachten Sie folgende
Sicherheitshinweise:

► Werfen Sie die Batterien nicht ins Feuer.
► Schließen Sie die Batterien nicht kurz.
► Versuchen Sie nicht die Batterien wieder aufzuladen.
► Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig die Batterie. Ausgetretene Batte-

riesäure kann dauerhafte Schäden am Gerät verursachen. Im
Umgang mit einer beschädigten oder ausgelaufenen Batterie
besondere Vorsicht walten lassen. Verätzungsgefahr! Schutz­handschuhe tragen.

► Batterien für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren. Bei Verschlu-

cken umgehend einen Arzt aufsuchen.

► Entnehmen Sie die Batterie aus der Fernbedienung, wenn Sie

das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzen.

Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise

Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die folgen­den Sicherheitshinweise:

■ Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere

sichtbare Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes Gerät nicht in
Betrieb.

■ Lassen Sie Kinder nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

■ Personen, die aufgrund ihrer körperlichen, geistigen oder moto-

rischen Fähigkeiten nicht in der Lage sind das Gerät sicher zu
bedienen, dürfen das Gerät nur unter Aufsicht oder Anweisung
durch eine verantwortliche Person benutzen.

■ Öffnen Sie das Gerät nicht. Durch unbefugtes Öffnen und un-

sachgemäße Reparaturen können Gefahren für die Benutzer des
Gerätes entstehen. Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von
einem Fachmann durchführen. Durch unsachgemäße Reparatu­ren erlischt der Garantieanspruch.

■ Eine Reparatur des Gerätes während der Garantiezeit darf nur

von einem vom Hersteller autorisierten Kundendienst vorgenom­men werden, sonst besteht bei nachfolgenden Schäden kein
Garantieanspruch mehr.

■ Defekte Bauteile dürfen nur gegen Original-Ersatzteile ausge-

tauscht werden. Nur bei diesen Teilen ist gewährleistet, dass sie
die Sicherheitsanforderungen erfüllen werden.

■ Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und dem Eindringen von

Flüssigkeiten. Bei Kontakt mit Flüssigkeit sofort das Gerät von der
Stromversorgung trennen.

■ Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse des Gerätes mit einem leicht ange-

feuchteten Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine scharfen Reinigungs- oder
Lösungsmittel.

■ Die Zuleitung immer am Anschlussstecker aus der Steckdose

ziehen, nicht am Anschlusskabel.

■ Stellen Sie keine Gegenstände auf das Gerät.

■ Elektronische Geräte sind empfi ndlich, vermeiden Sie Stöße oder

Schläge.

■ Bei auftretenden Störungen und bei Gewitter das Steckernetzteil

aus der Steckdose ziehen.

GEFAHR

Bei der Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes können Personen- und
Sachschäden auftreten!

Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise, um die Gefahren
zu vermeiden:

► Verpackungsmaterialien dürfen nicht zum Spielen verwendet

werden. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.

► Beachten Sie die Hinweise zu den Anforderungen an den

Aufstellort sowie zum elektrischen Anschluss des Gerätes, um
Personen- und Sachschäden zu vermeiden.

Auspacken

 Entnehmen Sie alle Teile des Gerätes und die Bedienungsanlei-

tung aus dem Karton.

 Entfernen Sie vor dem Erstgebrauch alle Verpackungsmaterialien

vom Gerät.

Lieferumfang und Transportinspektion

Das Gerät wird standardmäßig mit folgenden Komponenten geliefert:

● Audio-Stereo-Kabel, beidseitig mit 3,5mm Klinkenstecker

● Fernbedienung

● 1 Batterie Typ CR 2025 für Fernbedienung

● Steckernetzteil

● Bedienungsanleitung

Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtbare
Schäden. Melden Sie eine unvollständige oder beschädigte
Lieferung umgehend Ihrem Lieferanten/Händler.

Entsorgung der Verpackung

Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpa­ckungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungs­technischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.

Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart
Rohstoffe und verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht
mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden
Vorschriften.

HINWEIS

►

Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während der
Garantiezeit des Gerätes auf, um das Gerät im Garantiefall
ordnungsgemäß verpacken zu können.

Anforderungen an den Aufstellort

Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes muss der
Aufstellort folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:

■ Das Gerät muss auf einer festen, fl achen und waagerechten

Unterlage aufgestellt werden.

■ Betreiben Sie das Gerät in einer Umgebungstemperatur von

+5 °C ~ +35 °C.

■ Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht in einer heißen, nassen oder sehr

feuchten Umgebung.

■ Setzen Sie das Gerät keiner direkten Sonneneinstrahlung aus.

■ Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in die Nähe von magnetischen Fel-

dern.

■ Sehen Sie rund um das Gerät ausreichend Platz zur Belüftung

vor.

■ Die Steckdose muss leicht zugänglich sein, so dass die Netzver-

bindung notfalls schnell getrennt werden kann.

■ Eine Verbindungsmöglichkeit zu Netzwerken sollte in der Nähe

sein (LAN/PC, WLAN/Router).

Elektrischer Anschluss

Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes sind beim
elektrischen Anschluss folgende Hinweise zu beachten:

■ Das Gerät wird über das mitgelieferte Steckernetzteil mit einer

Gleichspannung von 9V versorgt. Schließen Sie das Gerät aus­schließlich über das mitgelieferte Steckernetzteil an die Stromver­sorgung an.

■ Vergleichen Sie vor dem Anschließen des Gerätes die Anschluss-

daten des Steckernetzteils (Spannung und Frequenz) auf dem
Typenschild mit denen Ihres Elektronetzes. Diese Daten müssen
übereinstimmen, damit keine Schäden am Gerät auftreten

■ Schützen Sie das Anschlusskabel vor heißen Oberfl ächen und

scharfen Kanten.

■ Achten Sie darauf, dass das Anschlusskabel nicht straff gespannt

oder geknickt wird.

■ Lassen Sie das Anschlusskabel nicht über Ecken hängen (Stol-

perdrahteffekt).

■ Wenn Sie das Gerät für längere Zeit nicht nutzen, trennen Sie

das Steckernetzteil von der Stromversorgung.

Netzanschluss

 Schließen Sie den Anschlussstecker des Steckernetzteils an die

Gleichstrombuchse DC IN (14) auf der Rückseite des Gerätes
an.

 Stecken Sie das Steckernetzteil in die Steckdose.

Netzwerkanschluss

Kabelgebundenes Netzwerk

 Überprüfen Sie zuerst, ob die Kontrolleuchte (LINK/ACT) Ihrer

LAN-Verbindung/Ihres Routers leuchtet

nungsanleitung des Router-Herstellers.

 Verwenden Sie ein Ethernet-Kabel mit RJ45-Stecker (20) und

verbinden Sie den LAN-Anschluss (15) des Gerätes mit dem
LAN-Anschluss Ihres Routers.

Kabelloses Netzwerk

 Überprüfen Sie zuerst, ob die Kontrolleuchte (LINK/ACT) Ihrer

WLAN-Verbindung/Ihres Routers leuchtet.

HINWEIS

►

Informationen zur WLAN-Verbindung/ zu WiFi-Netzwerken fi n-
den Sie in der Bedienungsanleitung des Router-Herstellers.

HINWEIS

► WiFi ermöglicht einen drahtlosen Datentransfer ohne Verkabe-

lung zwischen den Geräten. Wände oder andere Hindernisse
können die Reichweite jedoch einschränken.
Versuchen Sie deshalb, den besten Standort innerhalb der o.g.
Distanz zu fi nden, um Unterbrechungen und Störungen beim
Betrieb des Gerätes zu vermeiden.

Weitere Anschlüsse

Anschluss eines USB-Massenspeichers
(z. B. MP3-Player, externes USB-Festplattenlaufwerk, USB-Stick)

 Schließen Sie einen USB-Massenspeicher (z. B. MP3-Player,

USB-Stick oder USB-Festplattenlaufwerk) an den USB-An­schluss (9) des Gerätes an.

Auf diese Weise können Sie auf die Inhalte eines USB-Massenspei­chers zugreifen.

Anschluss eines externen Lautsprecher-Systems

Zur Erhöhung der Klangqualität des Gerätes kann ein externes Laut­sprechersystem angeschlossen werden.

 Verbinden Sie ein externes Lautsprecher-System über die

LINE OUT-Buchse (13) mit dem beigefügten Audiokabel.

Inbetriebnahme

Batterie in die Fernbedienung einlegen

HINWEIS

►

Die zum Lieferumfang gehörende Batterie ist bereits werksseitig
in die Fernbedienung eingesetzt.

Zum Einlegen einer neuen Batterie gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

 Ziehen Sie das Batteriefach aus der Fernbedienung.
 Entfernen Sie die verbrauchte Batterie und legen Sie eine neue

Batterie vom Typ CR2025 (Knopfzelle) in das Batteriefach ein.
Achten Sie darauf, die Batterie entsprechend ihrer Polarität
einzulegen.

 Schieben Sie das Batteriefach wieder in die Fernbedienung.

HINWEIS

►

Wechseln Sie die Batterie, wenn die Reichweite der Fernbedie­nung abnimmt bzw. wenn das Gerät nicht mehr auf alle Befehle
reagiert.

Gerät ein- und ausschalten

Einschalten

Nach Anschluss an die Stromversorgung schalten Sie das Gerät am
EIN-/AUS-Schalter (11) auf der Rückseite des Gerätes ein (EIN/ON).

Betätigen Sie danach die STANDBY-Taste (7), um in den Betriebs­modus zu gelangen.

Ausschalten

HINWEIS

►

Bei Betätigung der EIN/AUS-Taste (1) auf der Fernbedienung
schaltet das Gerät nur in den Standby-Modus.

Schalten Sie den EIN-/AUS-Schalter (11) auf der Rückseite des Ge­rätes in Stellung AUS/OFF.

Bedienung

Die Funktionen Ihres Gerätes werden Ihnen über ein Menü angebo­ten, das aus mehreren Ebenen besteht.

Erstbetrieb

 Schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Nach ein paar Sekunden erscheint

das Hauptmenü.

Die Hauptmenü-Funktionen werden als Symbol auf dem Bildschirm
angezeigt.

 Um auf eine Funktion zuzugreifen bzw. um ein Untermenü zu

öffnen, wählen Sie mit dem Navigations-Drehknopf (8a) die
gewünschte Funktion und drücken Sie anschließend den Dreh­knopf (8b) (SELECT-Funktion = „Auswahl“-Funktion).

Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme fragt das System, ob Sie den SETUP
WIZARD starten möchten, um das Setup des Gerätes durchzufüh­ren.

 Wählen Sie JA aus, um mit dem Setup zu beginnen.

Detaillierte Informationen zum SETUP WIZARD fi nden Sie im
Kapitel SYSTEM-EINSTELLUNGEN.

 Wenn Sie ein drahtgebundenes Netzwerk verwenden, können

Sie den SETUP WIZARD verlassen; wählen Sie hierzu NEIN/NO
aus.
Danach fragt Sie das System, ob Sie den SETUP WIZARD bei
der nächsten Geräte-Inbetriebnahme starten möchten.

 Drücken Sie die STANDBY-Taste (7), um in den Standby-Modus

zu gelangen. Nun werden Uhrzeit, Datum und alle aktivierten
Alarm-Zeiten angezeigt.

Das Gerät verbindet sich bei erneutem Einschalten automatisch mit
dem zuvor eingestellten Netzwerk. Möchten Sie die Verbindung über
ein anderes Netzwerk, wählen Sie die Funktion SYSTEM­EINSTELLUNGEN, um die entsprechende Verbindung zu konfi gurie-
ren.

Hauptmenü

Im Hauptmenü können Sie die folgenden Modi auswählen:

■ System settings

 Wählen Sie die gewünschte Funktion durch Drehen des

Navigations-Drehknopfes (8a) aus und bestätigen Sie die Aus­wahl durch Drücken der Navigations-Taste (8b).

System-Einstellungen

Möchten Sie Einstellungen vornehmen, wählen Sie JA/YES.
Folgende Einstellungen können nun vorgenommen werden:

12/24-Stunden-Anzeige

 Zur Auswahl zwischen 12 oder 24 Stunden-Anzeige wählen Sie

EINSTELLUNG 12/24 STUNDEN aus und bestätigen Sie Ihre
Auswahl.

Uhrzeit/Datum

Uhrzeit und Datum können manuell oder automatisch durch das
Netzwerk eingestellt werden.

 Bei Auswahl der Option KEIN UPDATE werden Sie vom System

aufgefordert, die Daten manuell einzugeben.
Das Datum wird im Fomat TagTag/MonatMonat/JahrJahr ange­zeigt, die Uhrzeit im Format StundeStunde/MinuteMinute.
Der einzustellende Wert blinkt jeweils und kann mit dem
Navigations-Drehknopf (8a) eingestellt und durch Drücken der
Navigations-Taste (8b) bestätigt werden. Nach Einstellung und
Bestätigung eines Wertes blinkt automatisch die nächste Ziffer.

 Die automatische Einstellung erfolgt durch Datenabgleich aus

dem Internet. Wählen Sie hierzu Ihre Zeitzone aus.

Unverschlüsselte Netzwerke

Das Gerät ist kompatibel zu allen üblichen Netzwerk-Protokollen und
Verschlüsselungs-Methoden.
Bei unverschlüsseltem Netzwerk stellt das Gerät automatisch eine
Verbindung her; es müssen keine Einstellungen vorgenommen
werden.

Verschlüsselte Netzwerke (Standard)

 Geben Sie den Netzwerk-Schlüssel ein. Steuern Sie hierzu den

Cursor durch Drehen des Navigations-Drehknopfes (8a) auf die
auszuwählenden Ziffern und bestätigen Sie die Auswahl durch
Drücken der Navigations-Taste (8b).

 Der eingegebene Schlüssel wird im oberen Bereich der Anzeige

dargestellt. Um den Cursor vor die erste Ziffer zurückzustellen,
wählen Sie die Schaltfl äche BKSP, OK oder CANCEL an.

WPS-verschlüsseltes Netzwerk

WPS-verschlüsselte Netzwerke werden von WPS durch den Netz­werknamen identifi ziert, sobald das Gerät eine verfügbare Verbin-
dung sucht.

 Wählen Sie eine der folgenden Verbindungs-Methoden:

Das Gerät fordert Sie auf, die Verbindungstaste Ihres Routers zu
drücken. Danach sucht das Gerät nach einem entsprechenden Netz­werk und verbindet sich mit diesem.

PIN

 Das Gerät generiert eine 8-stelligen Codenummer. Geben Sie

diese Codenummer in Ihrem kabellosen Router bzw. Zugangs­gerät ein.

WPS

 Geben Sie den Schlüssel für ein standardmäßig verschlüsseltes

Netzwerk ein.

► Weitere Informationen zum Einrichten von WPS-verschlüssel-

ten Netzwerken fi nden Sie in der Bedienungsanleitung Ihres
WPS-Routers.

Fertigstellung

Das Gerät verbindet mit dem ausgewählten Netzwerk.

Wenn keine Verbindung zustande kommt, kehrt das Gerät automa­tisch zur vorherigen Anzeige zurück und fordert zu einem erneuten
Verbindungs-Versuch auf.

Falls eine bestehende Netzwerkverbindung verloren geht, versucht
das Gerät automatisch, eine erneute Verbindung herzustellen.

Ansicht Einstellungen

 Prüfen Sie die folgenden Informationen des aktuell verbundenen

Netzwerkes:

aktive Verbindung, MAC-Adresse, WLAN-Region, DHCP, SSID, IP­Adresse, Subnet-Maske, Gateway-Adresse, erste und zweite DNS.

WLAN-Region

 Wählen Sie eine WLAN-Region für optimale WLAN-Konnektivi-

tät:
Europa, Japan, Singapore, Australien, Korea.

Manuelle Einstellungen

 Wählen Sie zwischen drahtloser oder kabelgebundener Ver-

bindung und aktivieren/deaktivieren Sie DHCP (Dynamic Host
Confi guration Protocol).

Netzwerk-Profi le

Das Gerät speichert die letzten vier Drahtlos-Netzwerke, mit denen
es verbunden wurde und versucht, zu einem dieser vier wiederzuver­binden. Hierzu können Sie eine Aufl istung der registrierten Netzwer-
ke ansehen. Unerwünschte Netzwerke hierbei können Sie wie folgt
löschen:

 Drehen Sie den Navigations-Drehknopf (8a) und wählen Sie die

Funktion LÖSCHEN / JA aus. Bestätigen Sie die Auswahl durch
Drücken der Select-Taste (8b).

Sprache

Die voreingestellte Sprache ist ENGLISCH.

 Drehen Sie den Navigations-Drehknopf (8a) und wählen Sie die

gewünschte Sprache aus. Bestätigen Sie die Auswahl durch
Drücken der Select-Taste (8b).

Reset

Die Ausführung eines RESET setzt alle Einstellungen auf die
Werkseinstellung zurück. Dabei werden alle manuellen Einstellungen
wie Uhrzeit, Datum, Netzwerk-Konfi guration und Voreinstellungen
gelöscht.

Die Geräte-Software-Version bleibt erhalten, so wie sie im Internet­Radio-Portal registriert wurde. Favoriten aus dem Internet-Radio
bleiben solange erhalten, bis Sie eine Neu-Registrierung mit einem
anderen Account im Internet-Portal durchführen.

Software-Update

Von Zeit zu Zeit sind Software-Updates verfügbar. Die Verfügbarkeit
können Sie entweder sporadisch prüfen oder vom Gerät periodisch
prüfen lassen. Wenn dabei eine neuere Software-Version gefunden
wird, fragt das Gerät, ob es das Update ausführen soll. Bei Zustim­mung erfolgt ein Download und die Installation der neuen Software.
Bei der Installation bleiben alle Benutzer-Einstellungen erhalten.

HINWEIS

► Überprüfen Sie vor dem Software-Download die korrekte und

sichere Stromversorgung des Gerätes.
Stromunterbrechung während des Software-Downloads kann
zu Funktionsstörungen und/oder Schäden am Gerät führen!

 Drücken Sie zur Anzeige dieser Informationen die

Info-Taste (5).

Internet-Radio

Durch die Breitband-Internetverbindung kann das Gerät weltweit
tausende Radio-Sender und Podcasts empfangen.
Wenn Sie die Funktion INTERNET-RADIO auswählen, verbindet sich
das Gerät mit dem Silicon Internet Radio Portal, um eine Liste der
Sender zu laden.

 Drehen Sie den Navigations-Drehknopf (8a) und wählen Sie die

Funktion INTERNET RADIO aus. Bestätigen Sie die Auswahl
durch Drücken der Select-Taste (8b).

 Um während des Hörens von Radio-Sendestationen schnell zum

vorherigen Menü zu gelangen, drücken Sie die Return-Taste (6).

Zuletzt gelistete Sender

Wenn der Modus INTERNET RADIO erneut gestartet wird, werden
die zuletzt gelisteten Sender automatisch ausgewählt.

 Zur Auswahl anderer, gelegentlich ausgewählter Sender aktivie-

ren Sie die Funktion SENDER-LISTE. Diese Sender erscheinen
dann am Anfang der Liste.

Internet-Radio-Portal registrieren.

 Besuchen Sie die Webseite www.wifi radio-frontier.com
 Registrieren Sie sich, um Ihren Account zu erhalten.

Geben Sie hierzu folgende Informationen an:

■ Zugriffs-Code

■ e-mail-Adresse

■ Passwort

■ Internet Radio-Modell (Radio-ID)

HINWEIS

►

Die Radio-ID ist eine Kombination aus Zahlen und Buchstaben
und ist dem Gerät fest zugeordnet. Die Radio-ID wird in der
Funktion „Internet Radio“ im Menü „>Systemeinstellungen>Info“
auf dem Display angezeigt.

 Wenn Sie bereits einen Account besitzen und ein zusätzliches

Internet Radio hinzufügen möchten, loggen Sie sich mit Ihrem
Account ein und wählen „My preferences > Add another Wi-Fi
radio“.

HINWEIS

►

Sobald Ihr Gerät im Internet-Radio-Portal registriert ist, können
Sie alle Internet-Radio-Favoriten und zusätzliche Stations­Funktionen nutzen.

 Um eine Station als Favorit zu speichern, drücken und halten

Sie die Select-Taste (8b) solange, bis in der Anzeige FAVORIT
HINZUGEFÜGT erscheint. Die Station erscheint nun in der
Favoriten-Liste.

Hinzugefügte Sender

Gewünschte Sender, die nicht im Internet-Radio-Portal gelistet sind,
können hinzugefügt werden.

Voreinstellungen (Presets)

 Die Voreinstellungen werden im Radio gespeichert. Von anderen

Radios kann nicht darauf zugegriffen werden.
Um eine Internet-Radio-Voreinstellung zu speichern, drücken
und halten Sie die Preset-Taste (2), bis die Anzeige PRESET­SPEICHERN anzeigt.

 Wählen Sie eine der zehn Voreinstellungen, um den aktuellen

Sender zu speichern.

 Um eine Voreinstellung auszuwählen, drücken Sie die Preset-

Taste (2) und wählen einen der aufgelisteten, voreingestellten
Sender aus.

 Wenn einer der voreingestellten Sender empfangen wird, zeigt

das Display „Pn“ (P1, P2 usw.) im unteren Bereich an.

Informationen zum aktuellen Sender

Während der aktuelle Sender zu hören ist, wird in der Anzeige der
Sender-Name und eine Beschreibung angezeigt.

 Um weitere Informationen zu erhalten drücken Sie die Taste

INFO (5).

Jedesmal, wenn Sie die IFO-Taste (5) betätigen, wird ein ande­rer Informations-Satz angezeigt (Name/Beschreibung, Genre/Ort,
Empfangsstärke, Codec-/Sampling-Rate, Playback-Puffer, aktuelles
Datum).

Musik-Player

Der Musik-Player spielt MP3- und WMA-Formate von einem Compu­ter, einem lokalen Netzwerk, von einem USB-Stick oder von einem
Festplattenlaufwerk ab.

 Um während des Abspielens eine Titels schnell zum vorherigen

Menü zu gelangen, drücken Sie die Taste Return (6).

 Wählen Sie mit den Fernbedienungstasten ZURÜCK (6) oder

VOR (17) den vorherigen bzw. den nächsten Titel an. Zum
schnellen Rück- oder Vorlauf halten Sie diese Tasten gedrückt.

 Mit der Fernbedienungstaste (16) wählen Sie ABSPIELEN bzw.

PAUSE.

Gemeinsame Dateien

Wenn Sie GEMEINSAME DATEIEN eingestellt haben, sehen Sie ei­nen Eintrag bestehend aus <COMPUTER NAME>:<NAME GEMEIN­SAME DATEI>. Wenn Sie mehr als einen Computer mit GEMEINSA­MEN DATEIEN verwenden, werden die Alternativen aufgelistet.

 Wählen Sie diejenige GEMEINSAME DATEI aus, die Sie abspie-

len möchten.

Von hier ab werden die Menüs vom Server der GEMEINSAMEN
DATEIEN aus generiert. Die ersten Menüs zeigen eine Aufl istung der
Dateitypen und z.B. Musik, Video, Bilder und Playlisten. Das Internet
Radio kann jedoch nur Titel aus den Bereichen MUSIK und PLAYLIS­TEN abspielen.

Es gibt eine Suchfunktion zum Auffi nden von Tracks bzw. Titeln ähn-
lich der Internet-Radio-Suche.
Für Musik gibt es eine Vielzahl von Möglichkeiten, um Tracks oder
Titel auszuwählen inkl. Genre, Künstler, Album, Komponist und
Bewertung.

 Wenn Sie den Titel gefunden haben, den Sie abspielen möchten,

drücken Sie die Taste Select (8b).

USB-Playback

Hierbei werden die Menüs von den Dateien des USB-Gerätes aus
generiert.

Blättern Sie mit Hilfe des Navigations-Drehknopfes (8a) und der
Return-Taste (6) durch die Ordner.

In der Anzeige werden Ordner und Datei-Namen angezeigt (nicht
notwendigerweise Track- bzw. Titel-Namen).

Abspiel-Informationen

Während ein Track/Titel abgespielt wird, zeigt die Anzeige den Na­men des Tracks/Titels und des Künstlers (UPnP) oder den Datei-Na­men (USB) an. Zusätzlich wird eine Fortschrittsanzeige für gespielte
Zeit und Gesamtzeit dargestellt. Im unteren Bereich der Anzeige
befi ndet sich ein icon, welches die gewählte Ressource anzeigt
(UPnP oder USB).

 Drücken Sie die INFO-Taste (5), um weitere Informationen zu

erhalten.

Bei wiederholtem Drücken der INFO-Taste (5) werden verschiedene
Informationen dargestellt:

■ UPnP: Track bzw. Titel/Interpret/Fortschrittanzeige/Track- bzw.

Titel-Dauer, Album, Codec-/Sampling-Rate, Playback-Puffer und
aktuelles Datum

■ USB: Datei-Name, Ordner, Pfad, Codec-/Sampling-Rate, Play-

back-Puffer und aktuelles Datum.

AUX IN

Im AUX IN-Modus spielt das Gerät Tracks/Titel von externen Audio­Geräten ab wie z.B. einem MP3-Player.

Abspielen im AUX IN-Modus:

 Stellen Sie die Lautstärke vom Internet Radio sowie auch vom

externen Audio-Gerät leise.

 Verbinden Sie das externe Audio-Gerät mit dem AUDIO-Eingang/

LINE IN (12) des Internet Radios.

 Drücken Sie entweder die MODE-Taste (3), bis das Display AUX

IN anzeigt, oder wählen Sie AUX IN im Untermenü aus.

 Stellen Sie die gewünschte Lautstärke des Internet-Radios ein

und ggf. auch die Lautstärke des externen Audio-Gerätes.

Sleep

 Um die SLEEP-Funktion zu aktivieren, wählen Sie sie im Haupt-

menü aus oder drücken Sie auf der Fernbedienung die SLEEP­Taste (9).

 Wählen Sie danach die gewünschte Dauer aus:

AUS, 15, 30, 45 oder 60 Minuten.

 Sobald Sie die SLEEP-Zeit ausgewählt haben, kehrt das System

zum Hauptmenü zurück.

Alarm

Es gibt zwei Weck-Alarme mit Snooze-Einrichtung („Einschlaf-Funk­tion“) und eine Sleep-Funktion, um das System nach einer voreinge­stellten Zeit abzuschalten. Jeder Alarm-Start kann in einer bestimm­ten Weise eingestellt werden.

 Um den Alarm einzustellen oder zu ändern, wählen Sie entweder

ALARM 1 bzw. 2 im Hauptmenü, oder drücken Sie die Fernbe­dienungs-Taste ALARM (11).

 Wählen Sie die Alarm-Nummer (1 oder 2) und stellen Sie folgen-

de Parameter ein:

■ ENABLE: AUS, TÄGLICH, EINMAL, AM WOCHEN-

ENDE, WERKTAGS

■ UHRZEIT

■ MODUS: Buzzer oder Internet Radio

■ PRESET: zuletzt gelistet 1 - 10

■ LAUTSTÄRKE: 0 - 20

 Um die neuen Einstellungen zu aktivieren, scrollen Sie mit dem

Navigations-Drehknopf (8a) im Menü nach unten und wählen Sie
SPEICHERN.

Das Display zeigt nun den aktiven Alarm durch ein Icon unten links in
der Anzeige an.

 Der Alarm ertönt zur eingestellten Alarmzeit. Um ihn temporär

auszuschalten, drücken Sie die SNOOZE-Taste (16) auf der
Geräteoberseite.

 Wenn gewünscht, ändern Sie die SNOOZE-Periode mit Hilfe der

Select-Taste (8b).

Das Gerät wechselt dann für die eingestellte Dauer in den STAND­BY-Modus, und das Icon SILENT ALARM blinkt in der Anzeige.

Equalizer

Es sind verschiedene Equalizer-Voreinstellungen verfügbar:
Normal, Flat, Jazz, Rock, Movie, Classic, Pop und Nachrichten.
Zusätzlich sind benutzerdefi nierte Einstellungen möglich. Gestalten

Sie Ihren persönlichen Equalizer mit Bass-, Höhen- und Lautstärke­Anpassungen.

The IR100 is used for playing back music via PC, Internet or net­works.

use a damaged device.

supervision or instruction by a responsible person.

■ Do not open the device. Unauthorised opening and repairs can

lead to considerable danger for the user and cause serious
damage to the device. Only allow qualifi ed persons to carry out
repairs. Improper repairs will void the warranty.

■ Repairs to the device during the warranty period may only be

carried out by service centres authorised by the manufacturer oth­erwise the warranty will become void in the event of subsequent
damage.

■ Defective parts may only be replaced with original spare parts.

Only these parts guarantee that the safety requirements are satis­fi ed.

■ Protect the device against humidity and penetration by liquids. If

the device comes into contact with liquids, disconnect it from the
power supply immediately.

■ Clean the housing of the device with a slightly dampened cloth.

Unpacking

 Unpack all parts of the device including the user manual.
 Remove all packing material from the device before using.

The device is supplied with the following components as standard:

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the device against damage during transit.
The packaging materials have been selected according to environ­mental and waste disposal aspects and can therefore be recycled.

Disposing of the packaging for recycling helps conserve raw materi­als and reduces waste. When no longer required, dispose of the
packaging materials in accordance with the local regulations.

NOTE

►

If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty pe­riod in order to be able to pack the device properly in the event
of a warranty claim.

Requirements for the place of operation

For safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the place of opera­tion must satisfy the following requirements:

■ The device must be set up on a solid, fl at and horizontal surface.

■ The device is designed for operation within an ambient tempera-

ture range from +5°C to +35°C.

■ Do not use the device in a hot, wet or very humid environment.

■ Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.

■ Do not install the device in the vicinity of magnetic fi elds.

■ Make sure that there is suffi cient space for ventilation.

■ The mains socket must be easily accessible and enable fast

disconnection in the event of an emergency.

■ A network connection should be close to the device (LAN/PC,

WLAN/Router).

Electrical connection

For safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the following in­structions on electrical connection must be observed:

■ The device is supplied with 9V AC voltage via the mains adapter

supplied. Always use the mains adapter supplied to connect the
device to the mains supply.

■ Before connecting the device, compare the connection data (volt-

age and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains
adapter. This data must correspond in order to avoid damage to
the device.

■ Make sure that the power cable does not come in contact with hot

surfaces or sharp edges.

■ Make sure that the power cable is not stretched tightly or twisted.

■ Do not allow the power cable to hang over edges (danger of trip-

ping).

■ If the device is not to be used for a longer period of time, discon-

nect the mains adapter from the mains supply.

Mains connection

 Insert the mains adapter plug into the DC IN socket (14) on the

back of the device.

 Insert the mains adapter into the mains socket.

Network connection

Wired network

 Check fi rst of all whether the control lamps (LINK/ACT) of your

LAN connection or your router light up

NOTE

►

Information on the LAN connection can be obtained from the
user manual of the router manufacturer.

 Use an Ethernet cable with RJ45 connector (20) and connect to

the LAN port (15) of the device with the LAN port of your router.

Wireless network

 Check fi rst of all whether the control lamps (LINK/ACT) of your

WLAN connection or your router light up

Information on the WLAN/WiFi network connection can be ob­tained from the user manual of the router manufacturer.

NOTE

► WiFi enables wireless data transmission between devices.

However, walls or other obstacles may infl uence the range.
Try to fi nd the best location within the above mentioned dis-
tance to avoid interruption and interference while operating the
device.

Additional connections

Connecting a USB mass storage device
(e. g. MP3 player, external USB hard drive, USB stick)

 Connect the USB mass storage device (e. g. MP3 player, USB

stick or USB hard drive) to the USB port (9) of the device.

This enables you to access the contents of a USB mass storage
device.

Connecting an external loudspeaker system

An external loudspeaker system can be connected to improve the
sound quality of the device.

 Connect an external loudspeaker system via the LINE OUT

socket (13) using the audio cable supplied.

Startup

Insert the battery into the remote control

NOTE

►

The supplied battery has already been put into the remote
control.

To insert a new battery, proceed as follows:

 Pull the battery compartment out of the remote control.
 Remove the used battery and replace with a type CR2025 lithium

cell. Pay attention to polarity when inserting a new battery (plus
pole facing upwards).

 Push the battery compartment back into the remote control.

NOTE

►

Change the battery if the range of the remote control decreases
or if the device no longer reacts to all commands.

Switching the device ON and OFF

Switching on

After connecting to the mains supply, switch on the device with the
ON/OFF switch (11) on the back of the device (ON).

Press the STANDBY button (7) afterwards to switch to the operating
mode.

Switching off

NOTE

►

Pressing the ON/OFF button (1) on the remote control switches
the device to Standby mode.

Move the ON/OFF switch(11) on the back of the device to the OFF
position.

Operation

Each function of the device is selected via a menu consisting of
several levels.

Initial startup

 Switch on the device. The main menu appears after a few sec-

onds.

The functions in the main menu are displayed as symbols on the
screen.

 To go to a function or open a sub-menu, use the Navigation

rotary knob (8a) to select the desired function and subsequently
press the rotary knob (8b) (SELECT function = "Select" function).

During initial startup, the system prompts you to start the SETUP
WIZARD.

 Select YES to begin with the setup.

NOTE

►

Detailed information on the SETUP WIZARD can be found in
the SYSTEM SETTINGS section.

 If you are using a wired network, you can exit the SETUP WIZ-

ARD by selecting NO.
The system will then prompt you to start the SETUP WIZARD the
next time the device is switched on.

 Press the STANDBY button (7) to switch to standby mode. Now

the time, date and all activated alarm times are displayed.

The next time the device is switched on, it will automatically con­nect itself to the pre-set network. If connection is to be established to
another network, select SYSTEM SETTINGS to confi gure the desired
connection.

The following modes can be selected in the main menu:

■ Internet radio

■ Music player

■ System settings

 Select the desired function by turning the rotary

navigation knob (8a) and confi rm selection by pressing the navi-
gation button (8b).

System settings

If settings are to be made, select YES.
The following settings are possible:

12/24 hour display

 To select 12 or 24 hour display, select SETTING 12/24 HOUR

and confi rm.

Time/Date

The time and date can be manually set or automatically via the
network.

 If NO UPDATE is selected, the system will require manual entry

of the date.
The date is displayed in dayday/monthmonth/yearyear and the
time in hourhour/minuteminute format.
The value to be set fl ashes and can be set by turning the rotary
navigation knob (8a) and pressing the navigation button (8b).
After setting, the next digit starts fl ashing.

 Automatic setting is done by matching the data with the Internet.

Select the appropriate time zone for this.

Unencrypted networks

The device is compatible with all standard network protocols and
encryption methods.
In the case of an unencrypted network, the device will automatically
establish connection and no further settings are necessary.

Encrypted networks (default)

 Enter the network key. Move the cursor by turning the rotary

navigation knob (8a) to the digits to be selected and confi rm by
pressing the navigation button (8b).

 The key that is entered is displayed in the upper part of the dis-

play. To move the cursor back to the fi rst digit, select BKSP, OK
or CANCEL an.

WPS-encrypted network

WPS-encrypted networks are identifi ed by their network names as
soon as the the device starts searching for available network connec­tions.

 Select one of the following connection methods:

The device prompts you to press the connection button on your
router. The device then searches for a corresponding network and
establishes connection with it.

PIN

 The device generates an 8-digit code number. Enter this code

number into the wireless router or access device.

WPS

 Enter the network key for a standard encrypted network.

► Additional information on setting up WPS-encrypted networks

can be obtained in the user manual for your WPS router.

Completing

The device establishes connection with the selected network.

If connection cannot be established, the device returns to the previ­ous display and prompts you to retry.

If an existing network connection is lost, the device automatically at­tempts to reestablish connection.

Settings view

 Check the following information on the currently connected

network:

active connection, MAC address, WLAN region, DHCP, SSID, IP ad­dress, subnet mask, gateway address, fi rst and second DNS.

WLAN region

 Select a WLAN region for optimal WLAN connectivity:

Europe, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Korea.

Manual settings

 Select either a wireless or wired connection and activate/deacti-

vate DHCP (Dynamic Host Confi guration Protocol).

Network profi le

The device stores the last four wireless networks that were con­nected and attempts each time to reconnect to one of them. You can
view a list of the registered networks. Networks that are not required
can be deleted as follows:

 Turn the rotary navigation knob (8a) and select DELETE / YES.

Confi rm selection by pressing the Select button (8b).

Language

The default language is ENGLISH.

 Turn the rotary navigation knob (8a) and select the desired lan-

guage. Confi rm selection by pressing the Select button (8b).

Resetting

Performing a RESET returns the device the factory settings. All
manual settings such as time, date, network confi guration and pre-
sets are deleted.

The device software version is not affected and remains as it was
registered in the Internet- Radio-Portal. Favourites in the Internet ra­dio remain until newly registered with another account in the Internet
portal.

Software update

Software updates are made available from time to time. You can spo­radically check for availability or let the device check automatically. If
a new software version is found, the device prompts you to confi rm.
If you confi rm, the new software is downloaded and installed. User
settings are not affected by the installation.

NOTE

► Before downloading software, check that the mains supply for

the device is correct and safe.
Interrupting the mains supply during a software download can
lead to functional disturbances and/or damage to the device!

Displays the fi rmware version and Radio ID.

 Press the Info button to display this information (5).

Internet radio

The device can receive thousands of stations and podcasts from all
over the world via a broadband Internet connection.
If INTERNET RADIO is selected, the device connects with the Silicon
Internet Radio Portal to download a list of the stations.

 Turn the rotary navigation knob (8a) and select INTERNET RA-

DIO. Confi rm selection by pressing the Select button (8b).

 Press the return button (6) to quickly move back to the previous

menu when a station is tuned.

Last stations listed

 Register yourself to obtain an account.

Enter the following information for this:

NOTE

The Radio ID is combination of numbers and letter and is
permanently assigned to the device. The Radio ID is displayed
in the menu of the "Internet Radio" function under ">System
settings>Info".

 If you already have an account and would like to add an addi-

tional Internet radio, log into your account and select "My prefer­ences > Add another Wi-Fi radio".

You can use all Internet radio favourites and additional station
functions after the Internet-Radio-Portal has been registered.

 To store a station in the list of favourites, press and hold down

the Select button (8b) until FAVORITE ADDED is displayed. The
station now appears in the list of favourites.

Stored stations

A desired station not listed in the Internet radio portal can be added.

Presets

 Presets are stored in the radio itself. They cannot be accessed

by other radios.
To store an Internet radio preset, press and hold down the Preset

button (2), until STORE PRESET is displayed.

 Select one of the ten presets to store the current station.
 To select a preset, press the Preset button (2) and select one of

the listed preset stations.

 When a preset station is received, "Pn" (P1, P2 etc.) will appear

in the lower part of the display.

Information on the current station

The name and a description of the current station is displayed when
it is tuned.

 Press the Info button to display additional information (5).

Each time you press the INFO-Taste (5), different information is
displayed (name/description, genre/place, signal strength, codec/
sampling rate, playback buffer, current date).

Music player

The music player plays back MP3 and WMA formats from a compu­ter, a local network, a USB stick or a hard drive.

 Press the return button (6) to quickly move back to the previous

menu during playback of a title.

 Select RETURN (6) or NEXT (17) on the remote control to go to

the next title. Hold down the Fast Forward and Rewind buttons to

execute the function.

 Press PLAY or PAUSE (16) on the remote control.

Shared fi les

If SHARED FILES has been set, an entry consisting of <COMPUTER
NAME>:<NAME SHARED FILES> is displayed. If more than one
computer uses SHARED FILES, alternatives are listed.

 Select the SHARED FILES that are to be played back.

From now on, the SHARED FILES menus are generated by the
server. The fi rst menus display a list of data types e.g. music, videos,
images and playlists. However, the Internet radio can playback titles
from the MUSIC and PLAYLISTS sections.

There is a search function for fi nding tracks or titles which is similar to
the Internet radio search.
For music, a large number of options is available for selecting tracks
or titles which include genre, artist, album, composer and rating.

 When you fi nd the title you wish to play, press the Select button

(8b).

USB playback

Here, the menus are generated by the fi les of the USB device.
Browse the folders with the help of the rotary navigation knob (8a)

and the Return button (6).
Folder and fi le names appear in the display (not necessarily tracks or

Playback information

The name of the track/title and the artist (UPnP) or the fi le name
(USB) is displayed during playback. A progress bar indicating the
elapsed and total playing time is also displayed. An icon in the lower
part of the display indicates the selected resource (UPnP or USB).

 Press the INFO button to display additional information (5).

Press the INFO button (5) repeatedly to display different information:

■ UPnP: track or title/artist/progress/track or title duration, album,

codec/sampling rate, playback buffer and current date

■ USB: fi le name, folder, path, codec/sampling rate, playback buffer

and current date.

AUX IN

When in AUX IN mode, the device plays tracks/titles from external
audio devices such as a MP3 player.

Playback in AUX IN mode:

 Decrease the volume on the Internet radio and the external audio

device.

 Connect the external audio device to the AUDIO input/

LINE IN (12) of the Internet radio.

 Press either the MODE button (3) until AUX IN is displayed or

select AUX IN in the sub-menu.

 Set the desired volume on the Internet radios and the external

audio device if necessary.

Sleep

 To activate the SLEEP function, select it in the main menu or

press the SLEEP button (9) on the remote control.

 Subsequently set the desired time:

OFF, 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.

 Once the SLEEP time has been set, the system returns to the

main menu.

Alarm

There are two wake-up alarms with snooze function and one sleep
function to switch off the system after a preset time. Each alarm start­time can be set in a particular way.

 To set or change an alarm, select either ALARM 1 or 2 in the

main menu or press the ALARM button on the remote control
(11).

 Select the alarm number (1 or 2) and set the following param-

eters:

■ ENABLE: OFF, DAILY, ONCE, WEEKENDS, WEEKDAYS

■ TIME

■ MODE: Buzzer or Internet Radio

■ PRESET: last listed 1 - 10

■ VOLUME: 0 - 20

 To activate the new settings, scroll down the menu using the

Navigation rotary knob (8a) and select SAVE.

Now the active alarm is indicated by an icon in the lower left part of
the display.

 The alarm will be triggered at the preset time. Press the

SNOOZE button (16) on the top of the device to temporarily
switch off the alarm.

 If desired, change the SNOOZE time with the help of the Select

button (8b).

The device then switches to STANDBY mode for the set time and a
SILENT ALARM icon fl ashes in the display.

Equalizer

Various Equalizer preset confi gurations are available:
Normal, Flat, Jazz, Rock, Movie, Classic, Pop and News.
In addition, user-defi ned settings are possible. Set up the equalizer

with bass, treble and volume according to personal taste.
