GENERAL
This filter is for taste, odor, and sediment
removal. Designed for use with the following
series of Halsey Taylor water coolers: HAC,
HBW, S Series, SW, WM and SCWT. Can be
installed on all units if placed on outside of unit
on waterline.
Replacement filler cartridge available (55935C)
HOUSING
One piece outer casing with injection molded
reinforced end caps. Conforms to recommended standards for leak and burst pressure.
Designed for minimal space requirements.

SUGGESTED SPECIFICATIONS
Cap and housing shall be made of rust and
corrosion free plastic. Filter housing must withstand cyclic pressure test designed to simulate
line hammer of 100,000 cycles from 0 to 150
PSI line pressure at a rate of 12 to 20 cycles
per minute without failure of the housing.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Disconnect electrical power and close water
supply valve before proceeding. Remove in-line
strainer from inlet tube.
Flow indicator (arrow) on filter should point in
the same direction as the water flow.
The filter should be installed in the cold water
line prior to chiller with the outlet 2 inches
higher than the inlet to prevent air from being
trapped inside.
After installing new filter, open water supply
valve and check for leaks. Reconnect electrical
power supply. Flush system sufficiently
(approximately 3 minutes / 1-gallon) to
effectively remove small residue of carbon fines.
NOTE: A water shutoff valve should be
installed on the incoming water line to aid in
future servicing of filter.
CAUTION
•
Filter is designed to reduce foul taste/oder
and sediment only. Do not use with water
that is microbiologically unsafe. Filter will not
remove bacteria.
•
Do not install filter in location subject to
sub-freezing temperatures.
•
Filter should be replaced if water flow
becomes restricted or foul taste and/or odor
return (approximately every 3 months in
locations of continuous use).
