Halsey W. Taylor made the decision to dedicate his life
to providing a safe drink of water in public places in
1912, when he developed the Puritan sanitary drinking
fountain. The rest, as they say, is history, and while
we are extremely proud of the many innovations
that are associated with the Halsey Taylor name,
we have never lost focus of our original mission

“Rule of Thumb” Cooler Sizing

To select the proper Halsey Taylor water cooler for your specific environment, follow this simple procedure.

1. Determine the number of people to be served.

2. Find the “Persons served per GP” figure for your environment from the chart at right.

3. Divide the number of people to be served by the

“Persons served per GPH” figure to determine the total rated GPH required
of the Halsey Taylor cooler or coolers you select.

Example: A light manufacturing environment, (15 persons per GPH)

with 120 people present:

120 ÷ 15 = 8.0

Therefore, you should select a Halsey Taylor water cooler

with a rated capacity of 8.0 GPH, or two 4 GPH coolers.
