OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please make sure to fully charge the HALO PULSE 4000 prior to rst use.
CHARGING THE HALO PULSE 4000
The HALO PULSE 4000 operates on a rechargeable, Li-ion battery. First, use the Standard USB to Micro USB Cable (included) and connect the Micro USB tip into the Micro USB port on the HALO PULSE 4000. Next, connect the Standard USB end into your computer’s USB port or a USB adapter (not included).
While charging, the LED Indicator will illuminate red. When battery is fully charged, the LED Indicator will illuminate green. Disconnect the Standard USB to Micro USB Cable.
Note: The Micro USB Charging Port located on this unit is only used for charging the internal battery of the HALO PULSE 4000.
TURNING THE HALO PULSE 4000 ON/OFF
Slide ON/OFF switch to LED position to use the HALO PULSE 4000 as a bedside light. Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position to use the HALO PULSE 4000 as a speaker.
Note: Once the unit is powered on, the Bluetooth Pairing Mode Indicator will ash to indicate that the unit is discoverable and ready to pair or reconnect with a device.
HOW TO PAIR BLUETOOTH
1. Slide ON/OFF button to ON position, the speaker will go into Bluetooth Pairing Mode automatically and blue LED will blink continuously to show it is ready to pair.
2. Enable the Bluetooth function on your mobile device and search for the Bluetooh speaker.
3. Select device named HALO PULSE 4000 that has been newly added to pair, the device will emit an audio tone and the LED light will ash briey and become solid when paired successfully. You can now use the HALO PULSE 4000 speaker.
Note: Only one playback unit can be connected to the HALO PULSE 4000. If the HALO PULSE 4000 is already connected to another playback unit, the HALO PULSE 4000 will not appear in the Bluetooth selection list. The HALO PULSE 4000 must be unpaired before it can become discoverable by another Bluetooth enabled device.
After turning on the HALO PULSE 4000, it will automatically search for the last paired device. The Bluetooth Pairing Mode Indicator will ash. If the HALO PULSE 4000 nds the paired Bluetooth device, an audible sound is heard and Bluetooth Pairing
Mode Indicator will stop ashing.
CONTROL BUTTONS AND PLAYBACK
PLAY/PAUSE (No. 2)
Short press the Play/Pause button to play music/audio on the HALO PULSE 4000. When receiving an incoming call, you can use this button to accept/reject.
PREVIOUS/VOLUME DOWN (No. 3) Short press the Previous/Volume Down button to play previous of next song. Long press the Previous/Volume Down button to decrease the volume.
NEXT/VOLUME UP (No. 4) Short press the Next/Volume Up button to play previous of next song. Long press the Next/Volume Up button to increase the volume.
MODE (No. 11) Press Mode button to toggle audio source between Bluetooth/AUX.
LED MODE (No. 5) Press LED Mode button to change the LED Color Display.
CHARGING ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The standard USB ports charge external devices, such as smart phones, tablets and other USB powered devices.
1. Plug the USB power cable of your device into the USB port on the HALO PULSE 4000.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into your electronic device, and charging will commence. Note: You can continue to listen the HALO PULSE 4000 while charging.
AUXILIARY INPUT
If you are using an iPod, MP3/MP4 player or other mobile phone which can not connect to the HALO PULSE 4000 via Bluetooth directly, you can still play it on the HALO PULSE 4000 via an audio connecting cable.
1. Plug one end of the 3.5mm audio cable (included) into the headphone or line out jack on your player, plug the other end of cable into the HALO PULSE 4000 AUX-IN Jack.
2. Turn on the external audio source and play your device.
3. The volume level can be controlled through the HALO PULSE 4000. Use all other functions on the external device.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
After prolonged use, the internal battery will become weak and the operation may become intermittent. Once the battery is fully discharged, immediately recharge (regardless of whether you plan to use this unit or not) in order to maximize battery life. If you plan not to use the battery for an extended period of time, one week or longer, we recommend that you fully charge the battery. For longer periods of storage, please recharge the battery at least every two months to maintain the battery in optimum condition.
To clean the exterior surface, you can wipe it using a dry, soft cloth. Do not use chemicals, solvents or sprays. Keep objects and liquids away from any openings/vents of the HALO PULSE 4000.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
This HALO PULSE 4000 has been designed and manufactured to ensure your personal safety when used in the directed manner. Improper use can result in potential hazard.
Please read all safety and operating instructions carefully before installation and use. Keep these instructions handy for future reference.
- Warning: The product has a strobe light eect when played in certain modes which has the ability to cause headaches and possible seizures.
- The HALO PULSE 4000 should not be used near water or wet areas such as bathtubs, showers, bathrooms, sinks, swimming pools or basements.
- To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not expose the HALO PULSE 4000 to rain or moisture. Keep the HALO PULSE 4000 away from dripping, splashing, or any objects lled with liquids. Do not place anything on HALO PULSE 4000.
- Keep away from heat sources, including but not limited to: open ame sources, radiators, stoves, ovens, cars, and ampliers that produce heat.
- Do not expose HALO PULSE 4000 or batteries to re or sunshine.
- Do not puncture, crush or subject to mechanical shock.
- Do not disassemble .
- Unplug the charger when batteries are fully charged or not in use.
- Li-ion batteries must be recycled. Do not dispose of in the trash.

LIMITED WARRANTY
HALO INTERNATIONAL SEZC LTD warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use. Conditions are as follows:
- During the rst 90 days from date of purchase, HALO INTERNATIONAL SEZC LTD will repair or replace the defective product.
- HALO INTERNATIONAL SEZC LTD will, subject to inspection, repair the defective product or replace it with a new or reconditioned unit. The return must be accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to be issued upon request, and must be shipped prepaid. We do not oer shipping rebates at this time. If this is something you would like to add please give me a call to discuss.
- Warranty is void if the product has been improperly handled or misused in any way, or if the label and/or bar-coded warranty label has been removed or tampered with.
- Where applicable, all requests for warranty returns must be accompanied by a proof of purchase.
- The warranty does not extend to the electronic equipment that is used or which incorporates with any of our products and accessories. HALO INTERNATIONAL SEZC LTD shall not be held responsible for the improper use of its products.
