2. Overview
2.1 Introduction
The . SC-SDI2HD is an SDI to HDMI Converter with SDI loop
output. It automatically detects SDI, HD-SDI, or 3G-SDI on its input
and converts it to an HDMI output that can be displayed on any TV
or monitor with an HDMI input. Resolutions of up to 1080p/60 are
supported.
The device features a buffered SDI output so the original SDI signal
is preserved for possible connection to local display with SDI input.

2.4 Hardware Description
The following figures show all connectors and indicators on the unit.
3. Installation
1. Plug the SDI output from the SDI source (Camera or video
player) to the SDI input.
2. Connect the HDMI output to any HDMI TV or equipment
3. If required plug the SDI output to any SDI compatible TV
4. Plug in and connect the power supply

4. Troubleshooting
There is no adjustments or settings. The unit will automatically detect
the type of SDI input and convert it to HDMI. If the SDI input has
audio embedded, then the HDMI output will have the same audio
embedded.
If you are not getting any image the first thing to check is the quality
and length of the SDI cables. This device requires the use of quality
RG-6U cables designed for SDI. Full HD (1080p) may be extended to
70 meters maximum on the SDI output. HDMI output is standard and
is limited to about 5 meters (15 feet) depending on the quality of the
HDMI cable.
4.1 Contacting Hall Research
If you determine that your Converter is malfunctioning, do not attempt
to repair the unit. Contact Hall Research Technical Support
department at 714-641-6607 to obtain a RMA (Return Authorization)
number. Before you do, make a record of the history of the problem.
We will be able to provide more efficient and accurate assistance if
you have a complete description.
