RADIO WAVES:
Proof of compliance with interna tional standards (ICNI RP) or with
European Directive 1999/5/EC (R&TTE) is required of al l mobile phone
models before they can be put on the market. The protection of the
health and safety for the user a nd any other person is an essenti al
requirement of these standards or this di rective.
THIS DEVICE ME ETS INTERNATI ONAL GUIDELINES FOR EXPOSURE TO
RADIO WAVES.
Your mobile device is a radio transm itter and receiver. It is desi gned not
to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves (radio frequency
electromagnetic fields) recommended by i nternational guidelines. The
guidelines were developed by an inde pendent scientific organization
(ICNIRP) and include a substan tial safety margin designed to assure the
safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.
The radio wave exposure guidelines use a unit of measurement known as
the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2
W/kg.
Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions with the
device transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested
frequency bands. The highest SAR v alues under the ICNIR P guidelines for
this device model are:
During use, the actual SAR values f or this device are usually well below
the values stated above. This is because, for purposes of s ystem
efficiency and to minimize i nterference on the network, the operating
power of your mobile devi ce is automatically decreased w hen full power
is not needed for the call. The low er the power output of the device, the
lower its SAR value.
If you are not using an approved a ccessory ensure that whatever product
is used is free of any metal and that it positions the phone the indicated
distance away from the body.
Organizations such as the World Health Organi zation has stated that if
people are concerned and want to reduce their exposure they could use
a hands-free device to keep the phone away from the head and body
during phone calls, or reduce the amount of time spent on the phone.
As mobile devices offer a range of functi ons, they can be used in
positions other than against your ear. In such circumstances the de vice
will be compliant with the guidel ines when used with headset or U SB
data cable. If you are using another accessory ensure that whatever
product is used is free of any metal and that i t positions the phone at
least 1.0 cm away from the body.
To prevent possible hearing damag e, do not listen at high
volume levels for long periods.

SAR Compliance
Please read these simple guidelines. Not following them may be
dangerous or illegal.
-Your phone is designed to not exceed the limits of emission of radio
waves recommended by international g uidelines.
-SAR (specific absorption rate) is the measurem ent of body-absorbed RF
quantity when the phone is in use. SAR value is ascertained according to
the highest RF level generated during laboratory tests.
-The SAR value of the phone may depend on factors s uch as proximity to
the network tower, use of accessories or other accessories.
-Use a wireless hands-free sy stem (headphone, headset) with a l ow
power Bluetooth em itter.
-Make sure the cell phone has a low SA R.
-Please keep your calls short and use SMS whenever more c onvenient.
This advice applies especially to children, adolescents and pregn ant
women.
