1.3Positioning the Cabinet
Power Supply
This cooler is rated 220-240 V a.c. and will draw a maximum of 1.1 Amps. Do not overload the power supply. The 3-core mains flex, which exits behind the refrigeration unit, should be retrieved before the cabinet is positioned.
Ventilation
When positioning the cabinet, adequate clearance must be maintained for ventilation. For efficient operation of the cooler, it is essential that adequate ventilation be provided around the cabinet. Normal maximum operating conditions are 40°C at 40% RH (Climatic Class 5).
This cooler should not be recessed or enclosed in a cabinet. It is designed for free-standing installation only. The recommended clearance on both sides and at the back of the cabinet is 50mm.
Location
When positioning the cabinet:
•Avoid direct sunlight and warm draughts etc.
•Allow adequate space for the door to open fully.
•Ensure the cabinet is positioned on a level surface so the door shuts and seals correctly, and to prevent the condensate tray from overflowing.
Levelling
This cooler has a levelling bolt located underneath the door hinge. After final positioning, the levelling bolt can be adjusted to stabilise the cabinet. Turn the levelling bolt clockwise to raise or anticlockwise to lower the cabinet.

OPERATION

2.1Cabinet Operation
Connect the cooler to the mains power supply and check operation of the refrigeration unit and cabinet interior light. After moving the cooler, allow the cabinet to stand for at least 30 minutes before connecting to the power supply.
If the cooler has been disconnected from the power supply for any reason, allow about 10 minutes before switching it back on. This allows the refrigeration system pressure to equalise before the system is restarted.
Refrigeration Unit
The evaporator fan (inside the cabinet) should operate continuously from the time the cabinet is plugged in. This may be verified by checking air movement inside the cabinet. The thermostat will click when it cycles on and off.
Cabinet Light
The cabinet interior light is controlled by the light switch beside the thermostat knob inside the cabinet. The fluorescent lamp will require a period of time to stabilise following initial start up. See page 10 for instructions on replacing the fluorescent lamp.

2.2Loading
The cooler should be left running for 30 minutes to allow the cabinet to cool down before loading with product. When loading the cabinet shelves with product:
•Allow air space around all the product, for even cooling and efficient operation of the cooler.
•Do not exceed a maximum of 30 kg per shelf.
•Do not allow products to overhang the front or rear of the shelves, as this will effect air flow.
•Do not obstruct air flow from the evaporator fan.

2.3Temperature Adjustment
The storage temperature of the cooler can be regulated to suit different ambient temperature by turning the thermostat knob, located inside the cabinet (see Figure 2 below).
The thermostat knob is graduated from 0 through to 6, with 1 being the warmest and 6 being the coldest. The normal temperature controller setting is between 3 and 5.
•To make colder - turn the thermostat knob clockwise.
•To make warmer - turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise.
Note: Turning the knob to ‘0’ will switch the refrigeration unit OFF.
