Automatic Rotary Parameter Installation Introduction
This procedure tells you how to install the correct rotary parameter file for all CNC mills with a software version higher than
18.08A. It updates the ROTARY.RPK file, which changes the default rotary parameters that are used when a new rotary is
selected in the Haas Software.
Prerequisites
If you have a software version lower than 18.07A, use the Haas Service Guide Rotary Parameter Search to get the correct
rotary parameters.
Download the latest ROTARY.RPK file from the Haas Service Guide Rotary Search.
Tools Required:
USB memory drive the ROTARY.RPK loaded in the root drive.
Automatic Rotary Parameter Installation
This procedure tells you how to automatically install the ROTARY.RPK file.
STEP 1
Press [EMERGENCY STOP].
Turn Settings 30 and 78 to OFF.
Note: The control will prompt you to save the currently selected
rotary parameters. Press [WRITE/ENTER] to continue.

STEP 2
Press [LIST PROG] and navigate to the HARD DRIVE tab.
Note: If the HARD DRIVE tab is not shown, temporarily enable it
on by turning on Parameter 737:10, ENABLE HARD DRIVE.
STEP 3
Go into the USERS folder.
Go into the ROTARY folder.
Delete all the rotary files in the folder.
STEP 4
Insert the USB drive into the CNC machine.

STEP 5
Go into [DEBUG] mode.
Press [LIST PROG] and navigate to the USB drive.
Press [F1].
Select [Load Rotary] and press [WRITE/ENTER].
Press [POWER OFF].
Press [POWER ON]. Test rotary operation.
STEP 6
Turn Settings 30 and 78 to NEW to select the desired rotary
product.
Cycle the Power.
Test the operation of the rotary.
Note: If you turned Parameter 737:10 ENABLE HARD DRIVE,
ON in Step 2, make sure to turn it OFF.
