Preface

An H3C SecBlade NetStream (referred to as NS hereinafter) card is inserted in an H3C S7500E, S9500E, or S12500 switch, implementing classification and collection of network traffic. It collects and analyzes traffic in the network and sends the statistics in UDP packets to the NetStream Collector (NSC), which then collects and analyzes the data. The output data of the NS card can be used in network management and planning, enterprise accounting, charging per department, ISP bill, data storage and backup, and data collection for business purposes.
In this manual, the switches that support SecBlade NetStream cards are referred to as host devices.
