Device-Specific Safety Instructions
ATTENTION
Do not touch either the plug or the socket with wet or moist hands.
Do not put the device into operation when the feed cable or important device parts, such as the high-pressure hose, the manual spray gun or the safety equipment, are damaged.
Check the feed cable and its connector plug with respect to damage prior to each use. A damaged feed cable has to be replaced immediately by a qualified electrician.
Check the high-pressure hose with respect to damage prior to each use. A damaged high-pressure hose has to be replaced immediately.
It is forbidden to use the device in areas threatened by possible explosions!
When using the device in dangerous areas (such as gas stations), it is necessary to unconditionally abide by all the respective safety regulations!
High-pressure sprays generated by the device can be dangerous in case of unqualified use. Do not ever aim the water flow at people, animals, the very device, electrical components or yourself with the intention to clean clothes or footwear.
Do not use the device to clean objects which contain potentially harmful substances (e.g. asbestos).
Vehicle tires/tire vents can be damaged and break by a high-pressure spray. The first sign is the change in the color of the tire. Damaged tires/tire vents are lifethreatening. While cleaning, keep the minimum distance of 30 cm of the spray!
Explosion danger! Do not spray combustible liquids! Never suck in liquids containing solvents or undiluted acids and solvents! Among these belong for instance gasoline, diluters and heating oil. Mist is highly flammable, explosive and poisonous. Do not use acetone, undiluted acids and solvents because they corrode the materials the device is made of.
CAUTION
The plug and the extension cord joint must be water-proof and must not lie in water. Use only water-proof extension cords, plugs and joints approved for outdoor use.
Inappropriate extension cords can be dangerous. Outdoors, use exclusively extension cords approved for this type of use and properly labeled, which possess a sufficient cross section:
1-10m: 1.5mm² 10-30m: 2.5mm²
Always completely reel off the extension cords. High-pressure hoses, armatures and connectors are very
important in terms of device safety. Only use highpressure hoses, armatures and connectors offered and recommended by the manufacturer.
This device must not be used by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities.

16
ATTENTION
During extensive operational pauses, turn the device’s main power switch off and unplug it.
Do not use the device in temperatures under 0°C. Frost can destroy a device which is not completely emptied. The device has to be stored during the winter time in a frost-proof room.
To prevent damage, keep the minimum spray distance of 30 cm while cleaning varnished surfaces.
Do not ever leave the device unattended while in operation.
Do not ever drive over or clamp the feed and extension cords, nor tug at it or pull it. Protect the cable from excessive temperatures, oil and sharp edges.
All conductive parts in the work area must be protected from the sprayed water.
The device must be connected exclusively to an electric socket manufactured by an electrical fitter in accordance with IEC 60364.
Connect the device to alternating current only. Voltage must correspond to the specifications on the type label.
For safety reasons, we recommend always using the device with an RCD safety switch (max. 30mA).
Cleaning which generates waste water containing oil (e.g. engine cleaning or undercarriage cleaning) can only be performed in cleaning stations with oil separators.
If the feed cable is cut or damaged during operation, do not touch it under any circumstances. Instead, deactivate the safety fuse of the respective electrical circuit.
Do not ever expose the device to rain or dampness. Store the device in a dry place.
The device has to be assembled according to the attached owner’s manual before it’s switched on.
Use an FI switch and check it prior to each use. When in operation, the device has to be surrounded by a 3-meter radius within which no persons or animals are located. The attending staff in responsible toward third parties.

Purpose-Consistent Usage
Use this high-pressure cleaner exclusively for private purposes:
To clean machines, vehicles, buildings, instruments, façades, terraces, garden machines, etc., by a spray of high-pressure
water (in case of need, the product #86009 provides cleaning with a detergent admixture).
With accessories and spare parts approved by the company Güde GmbH & Co. KG. (adhere to the usage instructions which are appended to detergents).
Any other type of usage constitutes an act of purpose violation. The producer cannot be held accountable for any subsequent damage or injury resulting from inappropriate use. Please take heed to the fact that our devices are not constructed for commercial purposes (industry, craft, business).
Assembly
Attention! Prior to maintenance, cleaning and assembly, it is necessary to switch the device off and unplug it. The same has to be done in the event that the feed cable is damaged, incised or tangled.
Observe the system voltage: the power supply voltage must correspond to the specifications on the type label of the device.
The extension cord with a small conductor cross section significantly reduces the performance of the device. Cables up to 25 meters of length should have at least 3 x
1.5mm²; longer cables should have at least 2,5mm². Attention! Unapproved extension cables must not be used. The extension cord, the plug and the joint must be waterproof and approved for outdoor usage.
Cable joints must be dry and must not lie on the ground. If a cable drum is used, it is necessary to reel it off.
Water Connection (picture A5) (picture C7)
Adhere to your local waterworks’ directives.
Screw joints on all connecting hoses must be
tight.
Damaged high-pressure hoses must not be used (danger of rupture).
The following accessories are necessary to connect the high-pressure cleaner to water supply and are not part of the delivery:
A textile hose with the minimum diameter of 13mm;
A commonly marketed hose connector.
Connect the textile hose to the connecting component of the high-pressure cleaner and screw this on the highpressure cleaner itself.
Now connect the second piece of the hose to the common hose connector and subsequently to the water supply.
Caution! According to the effective regulations, the device must not ever be used without a system disconnector in the drinking water network. It is necessary to install an appropriate system disconnector in accordance with EN 12729 type BA. Water which runs through the system disconnector is no longer drinkable.

Filter Cleaning/Checks – Vario Nozzle Cleaning
Unscrew the adapter on the water supply connection and pull out the filter sieve by narrow, flat pliers. Rinse the filter sieve with water and insert it back in. A damaged sieve needs to be replaced.
ATTENTION! Under no circumstances put the highpressure cleaner into operation if the filter sieve is damaged or missing.
Use a thin wire to clean the Vario nozzle or to remove potential obstructions. See below.
