1 Overview
Optical Splitter can couple, tribute and distribute optical signal in optical transmission network, Optical Splitter is important passive device in optical channel, and Optical Splitter has multi-input-port and multi-output-port. In common, M×N means one Optical Splitter has M input ports and N output ports. Main module of POS (Passive Optical Splitter) is 1×N three-window coupler with tree type, and this module is connected in series by N-1 1×2 three-window coupler. It can meet precision requirement of optical splitter ratio in 1310nm, 1490nm and 1550nm three wavelength telecommunication window. This module has feature of low excess loss and low PDL. Optical Splitter is widely used in FTTx and broadband optical network.
