Important Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before rst use, even if you are familiar with this type of
product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of re, electric shock
and injury when correctly adhered to.
Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference, along with the purchase receipt
and carton. If applicable, pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures when using
an electrical appliance, including the following:
- Before using this Rice Cooker, these instructions should be carefully read to ensure
that the best results are obtained.
- Before connecting the appliance, check the voltage indicated on the appliance is
correct corresponds to your home.
- The Rice Cooker must only be used as intended in accordance with the enclosed
operating instructions.
- Do not use the Rice Cooker with damp or wet hands.
- Always make sure the Rice Cooker is securely in place before switched on.
- Do not place near hot gas or electric burners or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be taken when moving a Rice Cooker when it is hot.
- Do not use the Rice Cooker outdoors. The Rice Cooker has been designed for
domestic, indoor use only.
- Remove the plug from the mains supply whenever the Rice Cooker is not in use,
before cleaning or when changing accessories.
- Close supervision is necessary if the Rice Cooker is to be used by children.
- Use only original attachments recommended by the manufacturer.
- Surfaces of the Rice Cooker may become hot, avoid contact with bare skin. Use pot
holders when removing covers.
- Do not use steel wool or any metallic scouring pad to clean the electrical pin
terminals on the Rice Cooker.
- The inner pot must not be used on a glass or electric cooktop or on an open ame.
- Keep clear of the steam vent during cooking.
- Make sure the plastic paddle or the measuring cup is not in the inner pot when
switched on and in use.
- Repairs to the Rice Cooker should only be performed by a qualied Electrician.
- Under no circumstances must the Rice Cooker, the mains cable or the mains plug
be placed in or come into contact with water or other liquids.
- Adequate space should be provided for air circulation.
- Under no circumstances must the Rice Cooker come into contact with curtains,
clothing, dish towels or other ammable materials during use.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
