Operation Instructions Operation Instructions
Before Use (Do Not connect the power plug as yet) Control Panel
1. Adding water to the unit
Ensure that the plug on the Water Drainage Outlet of the unit is secure. Pour clean cold water into the opening on the side of the unit as shown. Make sure not to overfill - check the Water Level Indicator on the bottom front panel.
2. Adding ice to the unit
Once some water is filled, ice may be added to improve the cooling performance.
Note: For the Cooling function to operate correctly, water is required in the water tank; ice is optional, and may be added for extra cooling if desired.
Close the opening on the side of the unit after filling water or ice.
3. Connecting the power cord
Connect the unit to a power outlet of the same voltage and frequency as indicated on the rating label.
1. SWING button (see Fig. 1/2)
• Press ‘SWING’ button on the Control Panel or the Remote Control once (the indicator light turns on) to turn on horizontal louvre oscillation.
• Press ‘SWING’ button again to turn off oscillation. NOTE: The vertical louvre does not oscillate. It can be adjusted manually to the desired position.

• Pre ss th e ‘ON/ STANDBY ’ ( )button on the Control Panel or the Remote Control to turn on the unit.
• Press the ‘ON/ STANDBY’ button again to switch the unit to standby.

To ensure effective operation, it is recommended that the filtering system be cleaned once every 1-2 months of regular use. Be sure to clean and thoroughly dry all components before storage; this prevents mould build-up.
1. Disconnect the unit from the mains supply.
2. Before emptying the Water Tank, make sure you either have a large enough container under the Water Drainage Outlet to collect the water, or carefully wheel the unit outside to drain the water onto the ground.
3. Empty the Water Tank by loosening the plug of the Water Drainage Outlet. It is important after every season to clean the Water Tank and filter system of the unit. CAUTION: Care must be taken as the filter system contains electric cables and motor. These components must not be splashed or immersed in water.
4. Loosen and remove the 3 screws on the rear of the unit (see Fig.3). Once the electric motor connection near the top is disconnected (Fig.5), the back cover can be removed completely.

5. The Filter is connected to the Back Cover via two clips at the top. Release by pressing the two clips down and give it a little pull. Be careful to avoid damaging the filter.
NOTE: Do not immerse the Filter in water or any other liquid. This Filter should not be allowed to become wet. To clean the Filter, use a vacuum cleaner on low setting. Leave the Filter in a sunny place to dry it out if necessary.
6. The Water Curtain (supported by two rollers) can be removed for cleaning with mild soap and a soft brush. We recommend cleaning it after every 6 months of regular use.
7. Wipe out and dry the Water Tank at the bottom of the unit. Replace the Water Drainage Plug. We recommend cleaning the Water Tank after every 2 months of regular use.
8. Dry the Filter, the filter assembly and the Water Curtain before re-assembling.
9. To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth. If necessary, greasy marks may be removed from the outer surfaces by using mild soap and a cloth dampened in warm water. Avoid all other types of detergents, cleaners or solvents that may contain chemicals as these could damage parts of the unit. Thoroughly dry all parts before storage or further use.
10. Store in a cool, dust-free location for future use.
