DESCRIPTION
This digital level is a highly versatile leveling tool designed for fast, easy operation by carpenters, stonemasons, bricklayers, other building trades workers, surveyors, millwrights and other metalworkers, and in some photographic or video work, particularly in civil engineering applications, such as building construction and steel structure erection, for on-site angle alignment and leveling.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Battery replacement
Remove the 4 screws to open the battery compartment cover.
Insert the two LR03 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity as indicated in the compartment, then screw the cover back in place, taking care that the rubber seal is in contact with the cover.
2. Powering ON/OFF Press the “ ” button to turn on the device. Press the button again to turn off the device. (After about 3 minutes of non use the device powers off automatically.)
3. Measuring
Turn on the device and place it with the “V” grooved base on the surface to be measured.

4. Mode Selection Pressing the “MODE” button changes the display modes from degrees (°) to percent (%), to (mm/m), to pitch (IN/FT). The “ ” shows the current angle’s position, relative to the horizontal or vertical position.
5. Relative or absolute angle measurement
The “Ref” button will set the current angle to zero thus allowing measurement of angles relative to that angle. Pressing the button again returns to the “Absolute” measurement mode.
6. Audible buzzer
Pressing the “ “ button for a short time enables an audible indication when the device is either exactly horizontal or vertical.
7. The Hold function
Pressing the “HOLD” button with save the current angle on the display until the button is pressed again or the device is turned off.
8. Low battery indicator
Replace the two AAA cells when the “ “ shows on the screen.
9. User calibration
The device is calibrated in the factory but may be recalibrated by the user if felt necessary.
1. With the device turned OFF, press and hold the “CAL” and then press the “ “ button, release when the display shows “CAL”;
2. a) Place the device on a flat and clean surface, press the “CAL” button once and the screen should show “CAL1”; b) Rotate the device (180°) parallel to the surface in the same location, then press the “CAL” button again, the display will show “CAL2”.
3. Turn off the device which is now calibrated.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Handle the Digital Level with care, remembering that it is a precision instrument. Avoid bumping, knocking, dropping the unit or exposing it to extremes of temperature, either hot or cold.
Remove the batteries if the unit is not going to be used for an expended period of time.
Dispose of the batteries thoughtfully, never put them in a fire as they may explode.
Don’t short-circuit the battery terminals.
Don’t mix old and new batteries.
Don’t allow water to come in contact with
the batteries or the internal wiring.
Observe correct polarity when installing the batteries.
Keep the device out of reach of children.
