INSTALLATION
The unit can only be installed inside the building at different points, taking care to avoid:
plasterboard or wood walls
points subject to shocks (ex. behind a door)
balcony
walls subject to environmental noise (ex. near a washing machine)
walls subject to high stress (ex. the closing of an armored door)
points reachable by childrens
points near water jets or vapor
For an optimum operation is recommended to install the device in the center of the building,
on a solid wall, along a corridor protected from accidental impact. This positioning provides an
effective acoustic diffusion of the alarm, that can be perceived simultaneously in multiple
rooms of the house; it also provides an additional lighting in a common escape way, in case of a
nocturne seismic event. Additionally, the installation of the device near bedrooms, provides to
wake up the peoples during the night. The installation phase is very simple, no electric
connections are needed, thanks to the usage of a battery power supply. The auto-calibration
function eliminates the necessity to use specialized tools for the correct positioning; however,
the unit can’t separated from a stable fixation with the wall of the building. Therefore we
recommend the installation of the unit in a level of the wall.

OPERATIONS
Battery Installation
Note: Do not install the battery before you secure the unit to the wall
1. Remove any protective film from the metal contacts on the battery
2. Observe the orientation of the battery: positive (circular, smallest, marked "+") and
negative (hexagonal, largest, marked "-")
3. Insert the base of the battery against the plastic rear bumper, matching the positive
(negative) battery with metallic contact positive (negative). Appropriate references are
reported on the plastic base and on the side of the metal contacts
4. Apply pressure with your finger to push the battery into place
5. The correct insertion of the battery is indicated by a double beep. In the event that the
tone was not played, it is recommended to check the direction of insertion of the
battery. To remove the battery, follow the instructions given in the section "Replacing
the battery"
Closing the cover
Note: Do not set the cover in place before the wall mounting, because the hooking between the
cap and the base is strong, making difficult the opening of the unit when the base is not
anchored to the wall.
1. Orient the circular plastic cover in a way to match the extension transparent in the
lower part with the corresponding buttonhole in the plastic base
2. Push the cover towards the base, a click signals the correct mounting of the two plastic
parts
Power ON
Note: Do not turn on the unit before it is solidly secured to the wall.
1. Press and hold the center button until you see a light signal in sequence from the
outside to the center. The central LED indicator remains on together with the selfcalibration one
2. In this phase the unit is doing its auto-calibration, so you must not perturb it with shocks
or vibrations
3. After auto-calibration, the unit goes into low power mode, signaling this operation with
one flashing light in sequence from the center to the outside
4. The unit is ready

Check operation
A flash of the central LED at regular intervals indicates the operating status of the unit. As a
further test of the operation of the unit, you can manually stimulate the generation of a false
alarm, tapping a beat with the knuckles on the plastic cover. Once the alarm is activated, it can
be stopped manually by making a short press of the middle button.
Alarm activation
1. After the detection of a seismic wave of significant magnitude, the unit goes into alarm,
emitting a sound and light signal intermittently
2. The acoustic alarm duration is 2 minutes, the light alarm duration is 5 minutes
3. The alarm can be stopped by pressing the central button
4. Once the alarm is ended, the unit monitors the inclination of the wall, signaling the
operation with the “tilt” LED light
5. In case of an alteration of the inclination is not detected, the unit returns to the
previous operating state
6. Otherwise, the unit signal the condition with the activation of a warning light and
acoustic intermittent signaling. To end this state and return the unit to its normal
operation mode, is necessary to turn off the unit, according to what is illustrated in the
"Shutdown" section below
Shutdown
During nominal operation, make a long press the center button until you see a light signal in
sequence from the outside to the center. Proper shutdown is indicated by a double beep.
Cover opening
Note: Do not apply torque to the cover. To remove the cover, when the base is attached to the
wall, you have to grab it in both hands and pull it towards you, until the removal is complete.
Battery replacing
1. Turn off the unit, by holding down the center button
2. Remove plastic cover by pulling it towards you
3. Hook the border of the battery (metal contacts side) with the index of the hand
4. Pull the battery towards you until its expulsion from its seat
5. Replace the battery by following the paragraph “Installing the battery”
