DIRECTIONS FOR USE
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug
will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

1. Place heat resistant, dishwasher
safe objects into the wide
clear-view sanitizing chamber.
Do NOT overll chamber.
2. Secure lid. 3. Place chamber on base.
4. Press ON button to begin
sanitizing cycle. Remember not
to leave sanitizer unattended
during sanitizing cycle.
5. Dry Heat Sanitizer automatically
shuts off when cycle is complete.
NOTE: You may terminate the sanitizing cycle at any time by pressing and releasing the ON/OFF
button. The indicator light will blink and the fan will continue to operate up to eight minutes to cool
the sanitizer. Nursery products must be subjected to the complete 30-minute cycle to be sanitized.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT ITEMS PLACED IN THE SANITIZING CHAMBER BE FREE OF
FOREIGN MATTER AND ARE NOT WET.
ROUTINE CLEANING
It is recommended to occasionally wash the sanitizing chamber and cover. Remove the sanitizing
chamber and cover from the base and wash with warm water and mild detergent. Allow chamber and
lid to dry completely before replacing them on the base. It is NOT recommended to wash the sanitizing
chamber or cover in the dishwasher.
SELECTING THE APPROPRIATE NURSERY PRODUCTS
Do not sanitize electronic items with light or sound features as the heat may damage •
the sensitive electronics.
Do not sanitize liquid lled toys as a rupture in the product could create an electrical hazard. •
If you have any questions about what baby items or breast pump attachments can safely be •
placed in the sanitizing chamber DO NOT PLACE the item in the chamber and contact the manufacturer of the item to determine the product’s resistance to high heat or call 1.866.603.5900.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
The Germ Guardian Dry Heat Sanitizer is provided with the capability of detecting and warning you of
improper usage and malfunction. The indicator light on the front panel will begin blinking to warn you
of a potential problem. Refer to the table below to resolve:

Operator interrupt:
Button is depressed while product is
in process, resulting in blinking light.
Allow up to 8 minutes for the light to go off, indicating that the product has cooled sufciently.
Automatic interrupt:
The light changes from steady to
blinking without operator intervention
while sanitizer is operating.

2. Check for the following before initiating
next cycle:
Sanitizing chamber and/or cover is •
not in place.
Sanitizing chamber is too full.•
Sanitizing chamber vents are blocked.•
House voltage is outside of normal limits. •
Contact a qualied electrician.
Continuous blinking indicator light. Should any of the above operations result in a
blinking light, immediately unplug the Dry Heat
Sanitizer and refer to the warranty section of
these instructions.
