Pass the UV-C Mini Sanitizer Wand over household surfaces to kill up to 99% (depending on exposure
time & distance) of bacteria, viruses, mold and dust mites. UV-C light is a natural way to kill germs
without the use of chemicals. Hospitals use UV-C light to sanitize surfaces and eliminate germs.

immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes.

What is UV-C and why is it so effective at destroying
germs like bacteria, viruses, dust mites and mold?
UV-C is part of the ultraviolet light spectrum that is ltered out by
the earth's atmosphere. The "C" stands for the particular frequency
of UV light that kills germs, (200nm to 280nm). UV-C light is highly
effective at killing microorganisms. Hospitals use UV-C light
to sanitize surfaces and to eliminate germs.

SAFETY FEATURES
1. Special glass lter which shields and protects users from direct contact with UV ray.
2. The UV light automatically turns off after the prescribed time period has passed.
3. The UV light automatically shuts off when the wand has been turned over (bulb facing up).
The wand will resume working when turned back in the working position (bulb facing down).

Guidelines for Household Applications
1. Bed mattresses, quilts, pillows: Vacuum the mattress rst. Hold UV-C Sanitizer Wand
approximately 1-inch above the surface and move the UV-C Sanitizer Wand over a 12-inch
area for 20 seconds. Continue until the entire desired surface is covered.
2. Animal mattresses and enclosures: Refer to number 1 for directions.
3. Personal hygiene items: Expose items such as personal razors, brushes, combs and other
personal hygiene implements at close range for a minimum of 10 seconds.
4. Kitchen utensils: Hold the wand at close range, exposing knives, utensils, chopping boards
for a minimum of 10 seconds. Use away from water sources.
5. Bathroom germs and odors: Hold the wand approximately 2-inches above the surface of
the toilet seat or sink, and slowly move the wand sideways over the entire surface for a total
of 20 seconds. Be careful not to immerse the wand in water.
6. Shoes: Expose once a week at close range for ve minutes to help kill germs that cause odors.
Expose the soles of your shoes more frequently - the soles are a major source for bringing
bacteria into the home!
7. Computers, doorknobs, telephones, etc.: Expose at a distance of 1-inch for approximately
10 seconds.
8. *Sanitizing Tip: Effective disinfecting can generally be achieved in 20 seconds at a distance
of approximately 1-inch.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Insert Battery: Open the battery cover. Insert 4 AA Alkaline 1.
batteries into the battery compartment and close the cover.
UV-C Mini Sanitizer Wand is ready to work. (Fig. 1)
To Turn On: Press and hold the switch for 3 seconds. 2. The
LED indicator will start ashing. Once the ashing has
stopped, the UV-C Mini Sanitizer Wand is ready for use.

Lower Voltage Warning: When battery voltage 3. reaches
down to 3.8V, UV-C Mini Sanitizer Wand will start beeping
for about 10 seconds. If no battery replacement is made
after the beep warning, unit will automatically turn off the
power. (Germicidal lamp and LED indicator light will turn
off).
To Turn Off: Simply press the switch once while UV-C 4.
Sanitizer Wand is still in operation. (Fig. 3)
Safety Switch: UV-C Mini Sanitizer Wand contains a 5. safety
switch. The safety switch protects users from direct
contact with the UV-C light. When the UV-C lamp is turned
to the upright position (bulb facing up) the switch will
automatically cut off the UV-C light. When the UV-C lamp is
pointing downwards it will resume lighting. (Fig. 4)

Battery Disposal
To preserve natural resources, please recycle or dispose of expired batteries
properly. This product MUST BE disposed of properly. Local, state or federal
laws may prohibit disposal of batteries in ordinary trash. Consult your local waste
authority for information regarding available recycling and/or disposal options.
Light Bulb Disposal
MERCURY NOTICE:
This device contains mercury in the sealed ultraviolet bulbs.
Do not place your used bulb(s) in the trash. Dispose of properly.
Broken Bulb Clean Up
Do not use a household vacuum. Sweep debris (phosphor/glass) into a plastic bag
and dispose of properly. It is recommended that the UV-C bulbs are recycled or
taken to a household-hazardous-waste collection center. Call the county
recycling center nearest you.
LIMITED WARRANTY
To the consumer, Guardian Technologies LLC warrants this product to be free of defects in
materials or workmanship commencing upon the date of original purchase. Refer to your
original sales receipt to validate start of warranty period.
If this product should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace
any defective parts free of charge. The complete machine must be delivered pre-paid to any
authorized Guardian Technologies LLC warranty service center. Please include complete
information on the problem, date of purchase, copy of original sales receipt and your name,
address and telephone number. If you are not near a warranty service center, call the factory
for assistance in the US and Canada at 1.866.603.5900. Use only genuine Guardian
Technologies replacement parts.
The warranty does not include unusual wear, damage resulting from accident, or unreasonable use of the product. This warranty does not cover light bulbs. This warranty does not cover
unauthorized repairs. This warranty gives you specic legal rights and you may also have
other rights (other rights may vary from state to state in the U.S.A.).
We consider the registration process important to ensuring superior service to our
customers, however submitting this card to Guardian Technologies LLC is optional and does
not affect your rights to utilize this warranty according to the conditions stated above. If you
