Power Your Speaker
Using the included AC adapter, connect your speaker’s
DC IN jack to a standard wall outlet.
If the battery power is very low, the charging indicator
flashes red to alert you before turning off.
The charging indicator lights red during charging and
turns off when fully charged.
A full charge takes about 3 hours. When fully
charged, the speaker can operate for up to 4 hours at
medium volume levels.

Use Your Speaker
1. Slide the OFF/ON switch to ON. The Bluetooth
indicator flashes red and blue as
searches for a Bluetooth-enabled device.
2. Activate your device’s Bluetooth function (refer to
your device’s user’s guide).
3. When AUVIO PBT4000 appears in the Bluetooth
devices list, pair it to your device. If you are
prompted for a PIN, enter 0000.

You can control your speaker through your device or
with the speaker’s buttons.

If the speaker malfunctions, reset it by pressing § /
twice when the Bluetooth indicator flashes red
and blue.
Note: If you move the connected device too far from the
speaker, the speaker disconnects from the device but
resumes connection once the device is within range.
Device Not Pairing?
Many Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as
speakers, remember the most recently
paired source (music, smartphone, etc.)
?
and automatically reconnect when turned
on. This is convenient but can prevent you
from connecting to a new source.
If you cannot pair your speaker, you may
need to disconnect it from its previous
source.
Disconnect Your Device
Press and hold § / until the speaker says, “Searching.”
The speaker disconnects the current Bluetooth
connection and starts searching for another Bluetooth
device.

Charge Your Device
1. Set the A/B switch for
charging your device:
Select A for 5V/1A
Apple devices or B for
other 5V/1A devices.

the speaker’s charging

For audio devices
without Bluetooth
functionality, use an
audio cable (not included)
to connect it to your
speaker’s AUX IN jack. The
Bluetooth indicator lights
red and then turns off.
Note:
Connecting a device to both the AUX IN port and
the USB port may produce interference noise.
Disconnect one of the cables to avoid this noise.
Bluetooth functionality is automatically deactivated
when AUX IN is connected.
When AUX IN is connected, the speaker controls only
the volume. Use the controls on your device to control
music playback.

Do not operate the speaker if it has been damaged
Do not place heavy objects on top of the speaker.
Place the speaker on a flat surface. To avoid
electromagnetic interference, do not place the
speaker on top of a TV or other electrical appliance.

This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by
or attributable to abuse, misuse, failure to follow instructions,
improper installation or maintenance, alteration, accident,
Acts of God (such as floods or lightning), or excess voltage
or current; (b) improper or incorrectly performed repairs by
persons who are not a Ignition L.P. Authorized Service Facility;
(c) consumables such as fuses or batteries; (d) ordinary wear
and tear or cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping
or insurance costs; (f) costs of product removal, installation,
set-up service, adjustment or reinstallation; and (g) claims by
persons other than the original purchaser.
Should a problem occur that is covered by this warranty, take
the product and the Ignition L.P. sales receipt as proof of
purchase date to any Ignition L.P. store in the U.S. Ignition L.P.
will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law (a) replace
the product with the same or a comparable product, or (b)
refund the purchase price. All replaced products, and products
on which a refund is made, become the property of Ignition
L.P..
