Remote Controller User Guide
Introduction
The Lenovo® 500 Multimedia Remote Controller is a compact and ergonomic remote controller. It has an integrated touch pad on keys to support up to three-finger touch gestures.
The remote controller is supported on the following Microsoft® Wind o ws® operating systems:

USB receiver compartment*: Store the USB receiver when the remote controller is not in use.
LED indicator
The LED indicator shows the battery power status, Caps Lock status, and DPI level of the remote controller.

Fn key, Fn Lock key, and DPI keys
+ Fn Lock key + Fn key: Switch the key function between the standard F1-F12 function and the special function printed as an icon on each key. When the Fn Lock function is disabled, you can use the default function of function keys. You can change the default function in the Keyboard Properties window from your computer.
Dots Per Inch (DPI) keys: Decrease or increase the DPI level. The DPI level is used to measure the remote controller sensitivity. The higher the DPI level, the higher the remote controller sensitivity.
Connecting the remote controller to your computer
Extension cable
The extension cable is 50 cm (19.69 inches) long. It enables you to increase the distance between the remote controller and your computer.
To use the extension cable, connect one end of the cable to the USB receiver and connect the other end of the cable to your computer.
Note: For optimal signal, do not place any obstacles between you and the USB receiver.
Using the touch gestures
The keys are sensitive to finger touch and movement. You can perform the following touch gestures depending on the operating system.
Notes:
Position your fingers slightly apart when using two or more fingers. Some gestures are only available when you are using certain apps.
Move on the keys to move the cursor.
Wipe two fingers up or down to scroll through the document, Web site, or apps.
Tap to click an item. Double tap to open an item.
Place two fingers on the keys and pinch in to zoom out.
Tap with two fingers to display a shortcut menu.
Place two fingers on the keys and stretch out to zoom in.
For Windows 8 and 10 only: Swipe three fingers
left or right to switch between your open windows.
For Windows 10 only:
Swipe three fingers up to open the task view to see all your open windows.
Swipe three fingers down to show the desktop.
