MODEL NUMBER SWV2GS2
The GSM Gate Opener incorporates a professional industrial grade GSM engine that receives calls at its SIM number, as any ordinary GSM phone. The system operates in the GSM module Quad-band 850/900/1800/1900Mhz.
Just to give an example, if your SIM has a phone number 9228 9810555, that is the number you have to call to open the gate. The system has a memory where you will store the numbers of people enabled to open your gate (up to 50). When the Gate Opener receives a call, it will check the calling number and if the number is in the list you have prepared it will reject the call and open the gate.
The advantages of this over other systems are that you do not have to leave the car to open your gates, avoiding weather or safety issues, you don't need to carry around a separate remote device or indeed replace it if it were to get lost!

How to program the GSM Gate Opener
TEXT MESSAGE ENTRY
You must first enter the telephone numbers that are authorized to use the gate opener. If you do not require authorized numbers turn dip switch 1 to off position. (Ref FIG 1) This will allow all incoming calls to operate the unit. After inserting your simcard into the Gate Opener, turn on the unit and wait until you receive a steady blue light, this will indicate that you have a mobile signal.
You will now need to send a text with the contact numbers.
Example: (Hash) (01 to 80) (Star) (phone number) (star)
Note:
To avoid confusion we have colour coded the hash (#) and the star (*) symbols.
#01*01798123456* Then send this as a text to the simcard # * * You can only send one text at a time #80*01798898765* Max 80 numbers
PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN ONLY SEND ONE NUMBER AT A TIME
PLEASE SEND THE MESSAGE AND WAIT FOR THE GATE OPENER TO
SEND YOU BACK A TEXT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT “STORED”
BEFORE YOU TRY TO ADD ANOTHER NUMBER VIA TEXT ENTRY
If you wish to cancel a number follow this example.
(Hash) (01 to 80) (Star) (Star)
#1** Then send this as a text to the simcard
Below is a notepad to help you remember the numbers that you have saved to your simcard, in the event you need to modify or delete In the future.
#01*________________________ * #06 *________________________ * #02* ________________________ * #07 *________________________ * #03* ________________________ * #08 * ________________________* #04* ________________________ * #09 * ________________________* #05* ________________________ * #10 *________________________ *
If you do not need authorized numbers you can turn Dip switch 1 to off CALL ID as in fig.1.
Please make sure you have credit on your simcard to receive the text the acknowledgment. It may take some time to receive a text acknowledgement this depends upon how busy your telephone network is.
How to use the gate switch
Using your mobile or landline phone, dial the simcard number, you will hear 1 ring tone. The unit will automatically hang up this will prevent any call charges, the relay will then pulse for a period of time, this time is adjustable from Dip switch 2, switching on pulses the relay for 2 seconds, switching off pulses the relay for 4 seconds. This will send a signal to your gate control board to open the gate.
Texting the gate to open
If you need to keep the gate permanently open, you can text the unit #OPEN
To close the gate all you need to do is just telephone the simcard number this will cancel the relay and close the gate.
Pedestrian Access
Relay 2 controls the pedestrian gate. You will need to text #PED
This will pulse relay 2 on for 3 ½ seconds. This should be sufficient time to open one gate to allow for pedestrian access.
Signal Strength
To help make sure that you place the unit in a suitable position you can text the unit to see how much signal strength you have by texting #SS (IN UPPER CASE ) this is the signal strength. You will receive a text telling you if it is GOOD, AVERAGE or POOR. We strongly recommend that you place the unit where you can get at least an average signal .
You will find that with a poor signal it will be unreliable.
Note
The unit has a “sim active” function which monitors the activity on the simcard and if it has been inactive for 6 weeks it sends a phone call out to a pre-recorded number. This will then eliminate the problem of sim’s getting shut down if they are unused for 3 months.
