Sololift+ PWC-3 is typically used fo r:

instance toilet trailers and

in connection with the renovation or

containing other material may cause faults and limit

the scope of our guarantee.

The Sololift+ PWC-3 tank is made of lig ht pla stic
material with an easy-to-clean surface. Installed
correctly, the Sololift+ PWC-3 is m ain te na n ce- fr ee .
Sololift+ PWC-3 has three connections besides the
toilet connection .

A cutter systems chops up objects in the wastewater
entering the tank.

The motor is ve ry p ow e rf ul and designed fo r
demanding applications and continuous operation.

Sololift+ PWC-3 is equipped with a le vel switch for
automatic start and stop of the pump. See start and
stop levels in section 8. Technical data.

The tank is vented through a carbon filter in the vent
valve in the top co ver.

The installation must be carried out according to
local regulations and directives. Sololift+ PWC-3
must be installed in the same room as the units
connected.

Please note that al l S o lolift+ mo d els m ust b e
accessible for maintenance and repair. Engineers
will not be able to c arry o ut serv ice or r epair of th e
unit without ea sy access.

3.1 Electrical i nstallat i on

The electrical installation must only be carried
out by trained personnel.

Sololift+ PWC-3 must be connected to a voltage
supply according to the nameplate.

The installation must include an earth
leakage circuit breaker for protection
against earth fault currents. This
ensures pro t ec tion when us in g a
Schuko plug or another alternative to a
plug with earth pin.

Sololift+ PWC- 3 mu st be con nec te d to a
mains switch with a minimum contact
gap of 3 mm in all poles.

The lifting station must be protected
against water splashes in accordance
with regulat io n s.

3.1.1 Wiring di agr am

3.2.1 Siphonage

If the connection to the sewer is below the bottom of
the lifting station, it is advisable to install a vent valve
to prevent siph ona ge.

If the last pipe section after a horizontal discharge
pipe is vertical, it must be two sizes bigger than the
horizontal pipe. If the horizontal pipe is ∅23, the
vertical pipe sh ould be ∅40. If the horizontal pipe is
∅32, the vertical pipe should be ∅50. See fig. 5.

3.1.2 Motor protection

3.2 Mechanical i nstallat io n

The floor fittings G must be fitted to preve nt uplift in
case the room is flooded. Sololift+ PWC-3 should be
installed with adequate access for maintenance.

3.2.3 Connection to toilet

Sololift+ PWC-3 should be used for a toilet with
horizontal outlet according to EN 33 or EN 37. The
toilet must u s e at le ast 6 litres pe r f l us h.

Push the lifting station against the toilet and pull the
sleeve over the toilet discharge so that the joint is
covered.

Fit the clip and make sure that the sleeve is in the
correct position.

3.3 Connection in top cover

Cut off the stub end in the cover usin g a sharp knife
or a saw with fine teeth. The edges must be cut at

3.4 Side connection

Use sleeve A and me ta l cl i p D. I f a s i de con nec t ion i s
not used, it mus t be blan ke d o f f by me ans o f t he pl ug
E. Lubricate the O-ring, if necessary, before fitting it.

3.4.1 Conne ctio n of ca bin et sho wer
Note: The top of the w at e r tr ap of t h e ca bi ne t s ho we r

must be at least 150 mm above the bottom of the
Sololift+ PWC-3 tank.

Fit the inlet pipe from the cabinet shower to one of
the side connections.

It is advisable to install a strainer in the outlet grating
of the cabinet sh o wer f or co ll e ctio n of h air.

3.5 Connection of discharge pipe

The discharge pipe must be of a material suitable for
raw sewage and have an external diameter of 23, 28
or 32 mm.

It is advisab le to use a minimum ∅25 di scharge pipe
according to E N 12050-3.

Fit the discharge elbow C using clip D.
The non-return valve must be fitted as shown below.

It is advisable to fit a dra in plu g at the bo ttom of the
vertical pipe se ct ion fo r use in case of r epair o f th e
discharge pipe.

3.6 Pipework

The following drawing shows the maximum length of
vertical and horizontal discharge pipes.

It is recommended that the first part of the discharge
pipe is vertical.

All horizontal pipes must have a fall:
Discharge pipe: Minimum 1 % .
Inlet pipes: Minimum 3 %.

If the discharge pipe is more than 10 metres long, a
pipe one size bigger must be used after 10 metres,
for instance a ∅ 28 pipe for the first 10 metres and
then ∅32.

4. Start-up

1. Check that the installation is correct.

2. Switch on the elec tr icity su pply.

3. Flush th e t oilet and check th a t the pump starts
and stops correct ly.

4. Check that all pipes and connections are tight.

Note: The toilet must not be u se d un til Solo lift+
PWC-3 has been connected correctly.

5. Maintenance

Sololift+ PWC-3 is practically maintenance-free.
However, regular use and cleaning will e ns ure
faultless operation and a long operating life.

To prevent unnecessary pumping, it should be
checked that the toile t cist ern and po ssi ble wate r
taps are tight.

Before starting work on the pump,
make sure that th e fus e has be en
removed, th e plug has be en pu lled out
of the socket or the ele c tr ic it y su p pl y
has been switched off. Make sure that
the electricity supply cannot be
accidentally switched on.

All rotating parts must have stopped
moving.

Any repairs to the motor and electric
components must only be performed
by trained service personnel.

Cleaning the Sololift+ PWC-3

Sololift+ PWC-3 is normally kept clean through
regular flushing of the to i let .

For systems which ar e used rarely, occasional
internal cleaning is recommended which is
performed as follows:

1. Switch off the electricity supply.

2. Put detergent into the toilet bowl and flush.

3. Let the dete rg en t work for ap prox. five minute s.

4. Switch on the electricity supply and flush.

5. Flush once again when the Sololift+ PWC-3 has
pumped.

Cleaning the toilet, cabinet shower and
washbasin

After cleaning the units connected, flush the toilet
once more with clean water.

Periods of non-use

If the Sololift+ PWC-3 is not going to be used for a
long period, it is recommended to flush twice with
clean water and t urn off t he wa te r su pply t o all units
connected.

Frost protection

It is advisable to make the lifting station frost-proof if
there is a risk of frost, e.g. in a weekend cottage
during the winter. Empty the tank, seePeriods of
non-use or add antifreeze.

6. Fault finding chart

Before starti ng wor k on th e pump , mak e sure th at th e fus e has be en re move d, the plug has
been pulled out of the socket or the electricity supply has been switched off. Make sure that
the electricity supply cannot be accidentally switched on.

All rotating parts must have stopped moving.
Any repairs to the motor and electric components must only be performed by trained service

personnel.

Fault Cause Remedy

1. Motor does not operate when
