use power lifting equip-
move heavy items.
Bending material greater than capacity of machine may damage the roller dies. Always measure workpiece diameters before beginning any bending operation.
Assembly
The machine must be fully assembled before it can be operated. Before beginning the assembly process, refer to Needed for Setup and gather all listed items. To ensure the assembly process goes smoothly, first clean any parts that are covered or coated in oil or rust preventative.
To assemble handle crank:
Install handle crank on square end of bending
1. roller shaft (see Figure 3).

The base of this machine has mounting holes that allow it to be fastened to a workbench or other mounting surface to prevent it from moving during operation and causing accidental injury or damage.
The strongest mounting option is a "Through Mount" (see example below) where holes are drilled all the way through the workbench—and hex bolts, washers, and hex nuts are used to secure the machine in place.
Another option is a "direct mount" (see example below) where the machine is secured directly to the workbench with lag screws and washers.

IMPORTANT: This machine MUST be mounted
on the edge of a workbench or wall in order for the handle crank to clear the mounting surface during operations (see Figure 5). When mounting to a workbench surface, verify that the workbench is sturdy enough to support the full weight of the Model T32961 with the heaviest possible workpiece without tipping over. Consider mounting the workbench to the floor to prevent tipping, if needed.

Bending Operations
The Model T32961 60mm Pipe Bender is capable of bending 1½" round pipe up to a maximum bending angle of 180º. Adjustable drive rollers provide consistent bending angles and are easily configured to support workpiece requirements.
IMPORTANT: This machine MUST be mounted to a workbench or wall before operating. Mounting prevents tipping or shifting that may occur during operation (see Mounting on Page 3).
3. Place workpiece on drive rollers and rotate handle until bending roller contacts workpiece (see Figure 9).
Note: Extra length may be required on each
end of workpiece due to irregular angles created while forming bends. This length can be trimmed afterwards.
To bend a round pipe:
Space drive rollers evenly apart in slots on
1.
lower frame according to desired bend radius (see Figure 8).
Note: The distance between drive rollers
determines bending radius. Spacing drive rollers farther apart will form a larger circumference in workpiece than spacing them close together.
Rotate handle counterclockwise to raise
2.
bending roller until there is enough space to insert workpiece (see Figure 8).

and forth over drive rollers and slowly rotate handle to lower bending roller on workpiece (see Figure 10). Repeat this motion until desired bending angle is achieved.
Note: If multiple passes are required for a
specific depth, tighten jam nut on leadscrew to lock bending roller height (see Figure 10).

Cleaning & Lubrication
Use a brush and shop vacuum to remove debris from the roller die surfaces. Never blow off the Model T32961 with compressed air, as this could force metal burrs deep into the mechanisms and airborne metal fragments may cause injury to yourself or bystanders.
