Introduction
The Model T32838 Bandsaw Sled (see Figure 1)
fits 17" vertical wood-cutting bandsaws with tables
between 127⁄8"–181⁄2 " long, and allows you to process logs when used with one of the accessories
listed on Page 5.

Install (2) rear rail mounting brackets to

rear of bandsaw table (see Figure 4) using
hardware removed in Step 2 (or hardware
included with T32838). Only finger-tighten for
now.
To assemble bandsaw sled:
DISCONNECT BANDSAW FROM POWER!

2. Remove existing rails on your bandsaw.
3. Install (2) front rail mounting brackets to front
of bandsaw table (see Figure 3) using hardware removed in Step 2. Only finger-tighten
for now.
Note: T32838 comes with (4) M6-1 x 16 hex

bolts, (4)
⁄4"-20 x 5⁄8" hex bolts, and (4) 1⁄4"
flat washers. These can be used instead of
hardware from Step 2 if they fit your machine.

5. Loosely install (2) 5⁄16"-18 x 5⁄8" knob bolts

⁄16"-18 square nuts on front rail mounting
and
brackets, as shown in Figure 5.

6. Slide square nuts into T-slot on bottom of
front rail, as shown in Figure 6, then tighten
knobs to secure rail position.
Note: To allow for longer workpieces, adjust
rail as far right as possible where it can still
be secured by left knob.

Repeat Steps 5–6 with rear rail, aligning rear

Loosen or remove (2) cap screws, fender
washers, and hex nuts shown in Figure 8
to adjust or re-install bumpers so they are
directly above rear rail.

Note: If you cannot install bumpers directly
above rear rail, you can also adjust placement of fasteners shown in Figure 9 so sled
better fits your bandsaw table.

Adjust rails up or down as needed so sled
is slightly above table, then tighten fasteners from Steps 3–4. Bumpers should contact rear rail and sled should slide smoothly
across rails and table.
Note: You may need to position rear rail out
of the way in order to access fasteners.

11. Attach pointer to sled with (2) M5-.8 x 10 button head cap screws (see Figure 10).

12. Adjust sled on rails until edge of sled is flush
against bandsaw blade (see Figure 11), then
move sled handle down to lock position on
