Introduction
The Model T32250 24" Bed Extension increases
the bed length of the Model G0844 benchtop
lathe to accommodate longer workpieces.

D. Cap Screws M8-1.25 x 25 .......................... 2
E. Set Screws M6-1 x 16 ................................ 2
F. Rubber Feet ............................................... 2
A
1. Thread rubber feet into bottom of bed extension.
2. Remove (2) button head cap screws and (2)
flat washers securing tool holder to tailstock
end of lathe bed.
Thread (2) M8-1.25 x 25 cap screws approxi-

mately halfway into tailstock end of lathe bed
Align cap screws with bottom of keyhole slots

(see Figure 2), then slide bed extension onto
cap screws.

Thread set screws (see Figure 3) into top of

bed extension, then tighten or loosen set screws
to fine tune bed extension height.
— If bed extension sits below surface of
lathe bed, rotate set screws clockwise
to raise bed extension until edge of bed
extension is flush with lathe bed (see
Figure 3), then adjust bed extension feet
to level bed surface.

Bed Extension
— If bed extension is skewed left or right,
use a vertical strip of masking tape along
corresponding edge of lathe bed to make
bed extension parallel with lathe bed (see
Figure 5).

— If bed extension sits above surface of
lathe bed, rotate set screws counterclockwise to lower bed extension until edge of
bed extension is flush with lathe bed (see
Figure 4), then adjust bed extension feet to
level bed surface.

Fully tighten cap screws installed in Step 3.

Loosen tailstock lock lever, and slide tailstock

— If tailstock catches where lathe and bed
extension meet, loosen cap screws and
repeat Step 6 until it slides smoothly.
Place straightedge over bed extension and

lathe bed to verify they are parallel and aligned.
Attach tool holder to bed extension with (2)
