Introduction
The Model T31643 2-Ton Bear-Lift Pro Pallet Stacker is the perfect tool for stacking pallets when the operator does not want the fuss of recharging or gassing up. Hydraulic manual lift design offers either hand or foot operation and locks to keep it in place. The T31643 comes fully assembled with adjustable forks; hard-chromed, polished pistons; and double-sealed, polyurethane oil seals.

Lift Position: When lever is in lift position, either
hand or foot lift handle can be pumped to lift forks.
Lower Position: Drops forks. Pull lever up SL OW LY to begin lowering forks. Avoid pulling lever up quickly or load will drop suddenly.
Neutral Position: Place handle in this position to move load. In neutral position, pump and lift mechanism are disengaged so that handle can move up and down freely while operator moves st acker.
To use pallet stacker:
1. Move pallet stacker to desired location using
stacker handles, then engage back wheel brakes (see Figure 4).

Transport and lift pallet as needed.

Lubrication
The front and rear wheels are attached with permanently sealed ball bearings, so they require no lubrication, but we recommend adding a few drops of SAE 10W-30 oil every three months to each rotating point shown in Figure 8.

If fork width becomes difficult to adjust, you can wax fork rail for ease of movement.

Troubleshooting
Symptom Possible Cause Possible Solution
Forks will not lift to max height.
Forks do not lift. 1. Hydraulic oil low/contaminated.
Forks do not lower.
Forks lower by themselves.
Forks lower too sl owly.
Forks lower too quickly.
Oil leaks. 1. Relief valve damaged.
1. Hydraulic oil low. 1. Fill pump assembly with hydraulic oil.
1. Fill pump assembly with hydraulic oil. If necessary, drain old/contaminated oil and replace.
2. Too much hydraulic oil in pump assembly/air in hydraulic system.
3. Pump valve nut too tight.
1. Lifting components jammed with debris.
2. Pump valve nut too loose.
3. Lifting components bent/damaged.
1. Impurities in relief valve/hydraulic oil.
2. Relief valve faulty/damaged.
3. Seals worn/damaged.
1. Pump valve nut misadjusted. 1. Tighten pump valve nut.
1. Pump valve nut misadjusted. 1. Loosen pump valve nut.
2. Oil fill plug gasket damaged.
3. Seals worn/damaged.
4. Cracked/worn/damaged parts.
2. Pump off extra hydraulic oil/air.
3. Loosen pump valve nut.
1. Inspect mechanism, clear debris.
2. Tighten pump valve nut.

4. Inspect/replace.
Adjusting Pump Valve Nut
Pump valve nut on the back of the hydraulic cylinder controls how open the pump valve is (see Figure 9). If the nut is too loose, the forks will not lower correctly, and if too tight, they won't lift.
Pump Valve Nut

Changing Hydraulic Oil
Hydraulic oil in the cylinder may need to be added periodically after prolonged use or if it leaks noticeably. We recommend ISO 32 or 46 grade hydraulic oil.
To add hydraulic oil:
1. Lower forks completely.
Remove both hydraulic cylinder plugs (see
2. Figure 10) and allow oil to drain completely.
Figure 10. Hydraulic cylinder plug locations.
3. Replace lower plug and add replacement oil
to upper fill hole until level reaches bottom of hole.
. Without replacing fill plug, pump one lift
4
handle 10–15 times to expel any trapped air.
. Replace fill plug and clean up any hydraulic
5
oil residue. Old oil can be stored in a sealable metal or thick plastic container and recycled at a recycling center near you.
