MOBILE BASE EXTENSION KIT

Introduction

This Mobile Base Extension Kit installs on the
Model T28000 Mobile Base to provide a stable
support platform for a machine with an extension
table, such as a table saw.

Operating machinery on an unsecured
mobile base may allow machine to shift
unexpectedly, which could result in kickback
or accidental contact with blade, cutter, or
other moving parts. Always secure all parts
of mobile base before operating machine.

Assembling Extension Kit

Follow the assembly instructions that came with
your Model T28000 Mobile Base before preparing
and assembling the extension kit.

To assemble extension kit:

1.

Loosen (4) hex bolts to separate T28000

Mobile Base bracket assembly from side rails
(see Figure 3).

sion table. Refer to Model T28000 Instruction
Sheet for details.

5. Attach swivel casters to each side of leg
support channel bracket using (8) M8-1.25 x
16 hex bolts and (8) M8-1.25 lock nuts (see
Figure 5).

2. Slide adapter bracket over rail between fixed
wheels, then center and secure bracket with
M8-1.25 x 16 hex bolt (see Figure 4).

Re-assemble Model T28000 base and secure

together

Figure 6), and attach a rubber foot (with
M10-1.5 hex nut) to the bottom of each foot
pedal plunger.

DO NOT load machine onto mobile base until
all bolts are tightened. Improper tightening
or only using one bolt can lead to collapse
or tipping, resulting in crushing injuries or
property damage.

7. Attach foot pedal to each side of support
bracket using (1) M8-1.25 x 50 shoulder screw
and (1) M8-1.25 lock nut (see Figure 7).

Install extension table onto machine. Then

place legs into support channel bracket and
center legs along length of channel (see
Figure 8).

10. Slide extension bar bracket over extension
bar, then attach bracket to center of leg
support channel bracket with (2) M8-1.25 x
16 hex bolts, (2) 8mm flat washers, and (2)
M8-1.25 lock nuts (see Figure 10).

Slide extension bar into adapter bracket and

lay it towards (or over the top of) leg support
channel bracket to determine if you need to
cut the extension bar (see Figure 9).

— If the extension bar does not overlap the

leg support channel bracket, proceed to
next step.

— If the extension bar overlaps the leg sup-

port channel bracket then it is too long and
must be cut to length. To do this, mark and
cut the bar exactly where it crosses the
channel support bracket. Leave enough
length so both ends of the bar engage
bolts in the adapter bracket and extension
bar bracket.

and attach with (4) M8-1.25 x 16 hex bolts.
The extension kit should now look like the
one shown in Figure 11.
