The T23854 Riser Block Set (see Figure 1) is used to mount the Model SB1002 10K® 28" Bench Lathe to the Model SB1035 Lathe Stand, so the end gear cover and quick-change gear levers can clear the lip of the stand.
To mount the lathe with the riser blocks:
1. Center the lathe on the stand with the riser blocks underneath and align the mounting holes in
the blocks and lathe.
2. Remove the lathe, mark the mounting hole locations on the stand through the blocks, then remove the blocks.
3. Drill the holes through the stand, place the blocks and lathe back onto the stand, align the mounting holes, then secure the lathe with fasteners.
Tip: Seal the holes between the top of the stand and the riser blocks with an oil-resistant sealer to prevent coolant and other fluids from falling through the stand and into the storage areas or onto the floor.
