9. USE PROPER EXTENSION CORD
for the tool. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. Conductor size should be in accordance with the chart below. The amperage rating should be listed on the motor or tool nameplate. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. Your extension cord must also contain a ground wire and plug pin. Always repair or replace extension cords if they become damaged.
Minimum Gauge for Extension Cords

Before You Begin
Using Your Tool
OPERATIONS
Operating this equipment has the potential for flying debris to cause eye injury. Always wear safety glasses or goggles when operating equipment. Everyday glasses or reading glasses only have impact resistant lenses, they are not safety glasses. Be certain the safety glasses you wear meet the appropriate standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
The Model G9911 was specifically designed for cutting, grinding and polishing. Do not modify and/or use this machine for any other purpose. Modifications or improper use of this tool will void the warranty. If you are confused about any aspect of this machine, DO NOT use it until you have answered all your questions. Serious personal injury may occur.
Inspect angle grinder before use. The grinding wheel must be free of cracks, chips and breaks. If there are any signs of damage, discard the grinding wheel and replace immediately.
Use extreme caution when operating this tool. Always be aware of your surrounding working area. Be sure to wear appropriate eye protection and be sure to work at a safe distance from others in the area.
Be sure to use the appropriate abrasive and cutting wheels with this grinder. Use only specified grinding wheels. The wheels used by this grinder must be reinforced fiber resin, with a safety linear velocity not lower than 6,200 RPM.
Damaged wheels can break under normal use, creating a dangerous situation that could cause serious injury. If the integrity of a wheel is in question, always replace with a new one.
Do not apply excessive pressure to the grinder while cutting, as breakage of the wheel could occur. If the grinder begins to stall, decrease pressure immediately. If the wheel stops abruptly, turn the grinder off immediately.
Always use wheel guard. The wheel guard is an important part of the grinder. Do not operate the grinder if the wheel guard has been removed. Do not modify the wheel guard or make the opening more than 180°.

Plastic parts can easily be cleaned with a damp cloth, but never use water to clean any electrical parts. Solvents should also be avoided on plastic because of the possibility of damage.

1. Loose fasteners.
2. Worn switch.

4. Any other condition that could hamper the safe operation of this machine.
Since this tool is encased in a double insulated plastic cover, leave repair and service issues to a qualified service technician. This includes brush replacement, lubrication or any other internal operation.
