5. While an assistant supports upper arm
assembly (see Figure 3), remove hex nut
and hex bolt securing it to base, then remove
upper arm and set it aside.
Note: Upper arm is pinned to the base. If
removal is difficult, carefully rock it loose.

Place extension block on base pins, then

block pins and hold it in place (see Figure 4).

While lowering guide post, install extended

and slowly lower until guide post can be
removed (see Figure 5).
Note: Removing guide post using this meth-
od will help prevent the steel ball inside the
post from falling out.
Attach guide assembly and extended blade

Install 105" bandsaw blade, tension it prop-
erly, test tracking, and adjust blade guides
according to Model G0580 manual.
