CALCIUM FILTER
HOW TO REPLACE THE FILTER (Ref. 12-13)
SAFETY VALVE
MAINTENANCE
Using with distilled or demineralized water:
If the unit is used only with distilled or demineralized water the filter is not subject to exaustion. Nevertheless we recommend to replace it once a year.
Using with tap water: If the unit is used with normal tap water it is essential to check
and replace the calcium filter once it is no longer effective. It is considered ineffective when the green grains turn BLUE. If the filter is not changed at the
correct time a calcium deposit quickly builds up and could damage the steam generator.
1. Unscrew the water tank from the unit.
2. Remove used filter.
3. Insert new filter.
4. Screw back on water tank. For the disposal of the used filter please follow the current legislations.
The unit is equipped with a safety valve which opens if there is an obstruction in the steam circuit. When the safety valve opens there is a small leakage of some drops of water through the outlet hole (ref. 11 Pos. A). If this leakage should continue, we recommend not to operate the appliance and to take it to a qualified service person.
12
